Welcome!
Welcome to Wikipedia, Enfcer! I am Logan and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. Thank you for your contributions. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions check out Wikipedia:Questions, or feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or type {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages

New articles...
Please do not tag a new article for deletion in the first minute after creation, especially when the edit summary specifically mentions adding more information soon!
If nothing has been done in 10-15 minutes, then it might be more worthwhile tagging it, but sometimes people make several edits in the first 10 mins, as they find links/references, etc!

Speedy deletion nomination of Accessibly Live Off-Line
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Baseball Watcher 22:03, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
- Wasn't my page, I had just added some cleanup tags. But yet it shows I created it. Must have had the page pulled up, then an admin deleted, then when I added the tags, must have re-created the article. The time stamp for the delete, and for my tags being added was 21:59 (UTC) Enfcer (talk) 22:17, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
Please note the following re: Bellator 42:
It is very common for upcoming Mixed Martial Arts events (Scheduled mixed martial arts events) to have a page before the actual event. This is not advertisement, but rather pages where verified news from reliable sources can be added and compiled. The pages may be at different stages, depending on the news that has been reported (for examples see UFC 129, UFC 133). Also, this definitely does not qualify for WP:Crystal as it is NOT unverifiable speculation as it has been officially announced by the promotion (see the reference). Furthermore, "Individual scheduled or expected future events should only be included if the event is notable and almost certain to take place"- this is one of the biggest mixed martial arts promotions in the United States and information from the official website has been extremely reliable in the past.
I hope this clears up any confusion.(Justinsane15 (talk) 23:47, 2 March 2011 (UTC))
Deban Florian is complete bullocks
Greetings. I noticed you attempted some clean-up on this article. Just so you know, it is a blatant hoax. No such Forbes article exists. The youngest billionaires are the Facebook guys in their mid-twenties. I have listed it for speedy deletion. Maher-shalal-hashbaz (talk) 13:56, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Start class
Hello. I was curious as to why you're labeling all of the Indianapolis public art as Start Class and/or Stubs, when nearly all of them are exhaustive research projects that compile every bit of information on the artwork. These are in no way Start class articles, because literally every bit of published information is included in them; nothing much more can be added. Please do not only consider length when considering these article's status. If you don't know, just leave it blank. As for being "low" on the importance scale, it seems that that is such a subjective call that we decided to just not claim importance on public art. Thanks. HstryQT (talk) 13:02, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
- Hello HstryQT, I went back over the ones I could find, that I have reviewed as either stub or start classes. Untitled (Chapman) I felt that there could be more information added, and the other two projects attached to this article, one of which listed it as a stub also, the other listed it as a start class article, the other start class was rated in January, and no significant change had been made to it since they rated it also. As far as Weather Tower goes this one I felt was a close one and was debating between a "C" class or a "Start" class. Again two other projects were on this article, the other project that labeled it as a start class did so also in January, and no significant change had been made since. So I labeled that one as a start class. Procession of Ants (Bowen) which was initially reviewed 1/2011 was listed as a start class, by the other project. No significant work has been done on this article since then so, I felt that it still maintained its listing as a start level article. Reunion (Gummer) & Spiritkeeper these articles I would more then likely listed as a "C" class, but with this being an article about public artwork, I felt that some photography or artwork about the item would have been appropriate so that a reader could get a better idea of the article being discussed, as such I fell it still is in the starting stages of an article. I will concede that I may have set the bar a little high on Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis Public Art Collection, Broken Walrus I, and The Herron Arch 1 and have re-assessed them as "C" class articles. In regards to the importance the WikiProjects of Public Art & Universities do not default to asking for an importance, Project Indiana Template does ask, that is when we add the template as WikiProject Indiana the default template asks for class & importance regardless if we answer the criteria or not. This along with assessments are a subjective judgment call. WP:WikiProject_Indiana/Assessment#Importance scale lists the criteria. I do not see how this art work is anymore important the Famous and notable natives or resident biographies which only rates as a low on the projects scale. Enfcer (talk) 21:35, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for your thorough response and for re-looking and re-assessing a good many articles. I appreciate your time. Assessment definitely is a subjective task, as we've all come to learn. Thanks. HstryQT (talk) 23:03, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
- No problem, I am still learning more and more about the ins and outs around Wikipedia. I have only been on here for a very short time, so everything comes with a learning curve. Enfcer (talk) 23:19, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

Your rollback request
Hello Enfcer, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism/spam/blatantly unconstructive edits, and that using it to revert anything else (such as by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with) can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning, depending on the admin who becomes aware of any misuse. If you think an edit should require a reason for reverting, then don't use rollback and instead, use a manual edit summary. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 09:29, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
No need for an AfD, I've closed it as redundant. If someone tries to remove a correct BLPPROD template on an article created post-March 2010 that lacks reliable sources, simply revert them and point out that they must not remove the template without providing at least one reliable source to support a fact in the article (though of course you should yourself look for sources). You're protected under WP:BLP from being accused of edit warring over such a BLP issue, see Wikipedia:EW#3RR exemptions. Fences&Windows 23:49, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- I was not sure, there are two more that I have done, and they currently also have delete votes, how should I deal with them, I will go back and reinstate the BLP Prod on those. Enfcer (talk) 02:39, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Hey there, Enfcer, welcome to Wikipedia! I went ahead and restored the maintenance tag on the above referenced article. While the article is supported with a reliable reference, it needs additional citations from third-party sources. The need for reliable sources and third-party sources are actually two separate issues. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions as you edit and navigate Wikipedia. Best regards, Cind.amuse 06:23, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info, I was looking at it as a references from the cemetery would be a primary source article, and the reference that was there was from an other source and qualify as a third-party source. But looking at it closer and seeing how the article makes mention as a historic place that the reference there would become a primary source, and the tag that is there is correct. This article had references in the text, giving the necessary material: newspaper name, and date. It was therefore not appriate for BLP PROD> I am, however, not at all sure of its suitability otherwise. You might want to try AfD DGG ( talk ) 01:09, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
- When I read the article I must have skimmed over them. It still took me a couple of times to find them, but I see them now. Enfcer (talk) 04:49, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
AfC-The Chronicles of Riddick
Hi Enfcer,
Re Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Chronicles of Riddick (Franchise), a better rationale for declining this articles creation may be that The Chronicles of Riddick (series) already exists. The editor requesting creation knew this too! See this edit - 220.101 talk\Contribs 18:48, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

Minor planet pages
Hello Enfcer. If you are going to be adding WikiProject Astronomy templates to minor planet talk pages, please could you set the importance field to low? (I.e. add "|importance=low|object=yes" to the template.) This will keep Category:Unknown-importance Astronomy articles from getting overwhelmed by this unimportant content. Thank you. Regards, RJH (talk) 01:45, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
- Certainly. Was just going through and was adding projects to various pages, and added them to your project, when I had found several that wasn't assigned to any project. Wasn't sure on how your group wanted then tagged, for importance or sub project types, so I figured at least getting them tagged to your project was a step in the right direction. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New deal for page patrollers
Hi Enfcer,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

2019 US Banknote Contest
US Banknote Contest | ||
---|---|---|
November-December 2019 | ||
There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here |

WikiProject Weather: Map Dot & Template/Infobox Colors
Dear project member, This message is being sent out to encourage new ideas and feedback on those proposed in regard to the colors debate for WikiProject Weather. For those who are unaware of what's been happening over the last year, I will give a brief summary. We have been discussing proposed changes to the colors of the dots on tropical cyclone maps and templates and infoboxes across the entire weather project in order to solve issues related to the limited contrast between colors for both normal vision as well as the various types of color blindness (MOS:ACCESS). We had partially implemented a proposal earlier this year, however, it was objected to by a number of people and additional issues were presented that made it evident this wasn't the optimal solution. We tried to come up with other solutions to address the issues related to color contrast, however, none of them gained traction and no consensus was generated.
We need your help and I encourage you to propose your own scale and give feedback on those already listed. Keep in mind that we are NOT making a decision on any individual proposal at this time. We are simply allowing people to make proposals and cultivate them given feedback from other project members. Please visit our project page for additional details. The proposal phase will close no later than December 31st at 23:59 UTC. NoahTalk 04:21, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
