Bluegrass music groups recategorization

Please explain your recategorization of the Bluegrass music groups into Czech bluegrass music groups (containing 1 entry), and American bluegrass music groups (containing all others). Similarly with Bluegrass musicians into Canadian bluegrass musicians (containing 1 entry) and American bluegrass musicians (containing all others). Kellie Pickler discography article

Hello, Eric444. I am always updating Kellie Pickler discography, putting Santa Baby: #192 (Hot Digital Songs). But Caldowards ALWAYS erases it without any explanation. I have a source, is it right erasing it? Kellie Pickler Fanatic

Impact on Popular Culture section deletion from Beach Music article

As the primary author of the Beach Music article, I'm rather perplexed as to why you would delete an entire section. If citations were needed, etc., why not just make note of that fact? The same if there were serious factual errors. I'm aware that this article has a ways to go to meet the highest standards of Wikipedia, but the (apparently) arbitrary deletion of an entire section seems to be a rather drastic measure, especially with no explaination given for the deletion. Before He Cheats

I think CMT.com misunderstood the certifications of the songs "Before He Cheats" and "Jesus, Take the Wheel". I searched RIAA website and I found out what CMT told us is not quite true. I am sure that "Before He Cheats" did receive 2 million downloads, but on RIAAm result page, the song is certified platinum 2 times. So as the song "Jesus, Take the Wheel". It's certified Gold twice. This discussion is a good one! Songs absolutely should be standalone researchable articles. Songs are often recorded by multiple artists, are often on multiple albums, and should NOT be redirected to one artist's album. To redirect a song article to one artist’s album basically deletes all the vitals on the song (writers, other recordings, awards, and related links). Why should a hit song (certainly any charted song) be permanently tied within to one artist, when the artist's article can clearly link to the song, broadening the benefits of research? Also, the focus on what is a "notable" song and what is not "notable" should not be for one Wikipedian to decide IF the song was a chart hit in any of the major trade magazines. I say let the articles (songs and artists) always remain valuable independent sources and benefit from the existence of each...LINK THEM. Songs in many cases are bigger than the artist. Most song redirects that I have seen are deserving of protest. Thanks for contributing to the discussion on this. Wikibones (talk) 22:22, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

I was going to update Girl Out Of The Ordinary this morning with more info, but you beat me to it. I was also going to add Moody Blue this morning, but you beat me to that as well. =)

I don't know of other albums of hers aside from those two, which is a shame because I liked her first album and some of her songs with Lace (an album I also own an *AUTOGRAPHED* copy of, which I got at Hiawatha Horse Park and Slots in Sarnia, Ontario when she performed there).

I noticed you took out the followup info I added on the first album. Was this because the artist page already shows the info and it's deemed unnecessary on the album page because it's not related to the album?

NEwho, cheers for the update. I didn't have the producer info on hand either, so would have relied on you for that in any case. Keep up the good work. =)

Canadian peaks for older artists

I noticed that for artists like Reba McEntire, the Canadian singles chart goes all the way back to the late 70s. I was wondering if you could add the Canadian peaks for some of the older artists; Lynn Anderson, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, and Dottie West. It would be just great if you did that. Thank you. As always, thank you for the information. It's quite interesting to find that Canadian Country music exists in Canada, and that website will be helpful for me. I will need to later ask you to add Canadian Country peaks for other older artists (not all females), but that won't be until next week some time, I'm sure you've got enough on your plate. Single verify

Do you know if you can verify if that is all the singles that charted by Lynn Anderson. If not, can you add them? I think her first single, "In Person" charted and so did another with Jerry Lane. I searched the archives, it looks incredibly hard to do, with such tiny texts, and showing all the entries for the singles, I really would think it would be a lot easier to just mkae a singles chart t the online website. I just discovered that the "Take Me Down" Exile recorded is the same "Take Me Down" that Alabama had a Number One hit with in 1982. Also if you can find them, make discographies for Vern Gosdin and Billy Joe Royal, I'd like a list of their hits.

You seem to know a bit about Lisa Brokop. Is there any truth to a blog site reference to a number 1 hit by this singer in the European country music market: [3] or not? I haven't heard anything about it...but then Wikipedia doesn't have a European country music chart likely since the marketplace there is small. Just puzzled. Thanks Keith for your response. I wonder...is it worth it to mention this number one hit on her Wikipedia article or is the European country market simply ignored by everyone? What do you think? I'm afraid I am not a country music fan--I'm really a pop music fan but I did graduate from Princess Margaret Secondary in Surrey, BC with her in 1991...and she still remembered me in a high school reunion there 8 years later on June 24, 1999. As for Lisa Brokop, I actually visited the Surrey Museum to see an 'Egypt: Gift of the Nile' exhibition but they had other displays naturally and I was surprised to see the Museum dedicate a small glass display to her and another singer. The first time I actually remember her was at a 1990 Parent Teachers Meeting in my high school where she gave a performance of her favourite song--as she called it--"Desperado."
