About your edit to Studio Ghibli
Hey EvergreenFir, I don't believe this revert was appropriate. The anonymous editor was, as far as I can tell, simply changing the information in this article to reflect what's mentioned in the Ocean Waves article. I verified with the film's credits that one "Kaoru Nakamura" was a writer on the film. I have undone your revert with that in mind. Additionally, I don't believe your use of a no-summary rollback was consistent with the guidelines on its usage — I would ask that you leave an explanation for reverts of this kind where the content of the edit is not obviously vandalism. Let me know if you have any questions! —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 21:45, 13 July 2024 (UTC)

About your revert at Talk:Attempted assassination of Donald Trump
I'm not sure WP:NOTFORUM is the best revert reason here. It is a comment about the talk page, and I think reverting it will just annoy the poster. I thought it might to let it lie and not feed the troll – reverting can be seen by the OP as censorship or something, because they don't know how WP works; letting everyone ignore them might be better, IMHO. Cremastra (talk) 07:33, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- I was on the fence about it but invoking "Trump derangement syndrome" makes the preponderance of evidence that the user is a troll. IMO. Feel free to revert me EvergreenFir (talk) 07:39, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- I think this is one of those things where reverting further will just confuse things and annoy people, but thanks for your quick response. Cremastra (talk) 07:41, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

Revert on Tim Pool article
Read my edit summary. I'm pointing out the why the source cannot be deemed to be credible. I expect you to abuse your administrator privileges to have the final say though. – Brenr 15:43, September 21, 2024 (UTC) 15:43, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- Just want to point out that Tim Pool clearly has views all over the political spectrum. The political leanings of the guests on his podcast do not draw any conclusions about his own views, but rather a representation of those that accept versus reject invites to the show. – Brenr 15:46, September 21, 2024 (UTC) 15:46, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Brenr We go by what reliable sources say, not our interpretations of what is "clearly" the case. You summarily deemed 2 sources (not just one) as non-credible without any discussion or consensus on the talk page. EvergreenFir (talk) 16:10, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- @EvergreenFir and what I stated is accurate. If you read the article for yourself, you'll see that the claims I make are indeed true. My goal on Wikipedia is to restore the impartial, unbiased representation of subjects that are especially more prone to bias. I believe I've made those edits in good faith and I hope you can read into it objectively and not let your views (which you display on your user page) play into your judgement of my edits. Thanks! – Brenr 16:15, September 21, 2024 (UTC) 16:15, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Brenr which views do I display on my own page?
- Wikipedia is based on the verifiability of content with reliable sources. It is not based on what editors assert is accurate. If it were the latter, Wikipedia would claim homeopathy cured cancer and that the full moon causes crime. EvergreenFir (talk) 16:21, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- Are we at least in agreeance that the claims made in the Wikipedia article do not accurately represent the sources? If not, we're making no progress here with this discussion. Please understand I'm not here to disperage anyone, but based on your user page, you clearly have views that suggest lack of impartial judgment on subjects such as Tim Pool, a figure who is more recently regarded as right-leaning due to the current climate which is completely understandable. Can we at least establish that the "right-wing" label given is not honest as it doesn't represent his overall political views? I'd like to hear your thoughts! – Brenr 16:37, September 21, 2024 (UTC) 16:37, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Brenr we can agree the sources were subpar. I've updated one of them. EvergreenFir (talk) 18:29, 21 September 2024 (UTC)

Bubble Guppies UK Dub Cast
Hi EvergreenFir, I noticed that you reverted my edit to the UK Dub cast section in Bubble Guppies. The voices for Deema and Oona are incorrect.
Deema was voiced by Harriet Perring in Seasons 1-2, and Amba Bierer in Seasons 3-4, while Oona was voiced by Lauren Reichwald in Seasons 1-2, and Megan North in Seasons 3-4.
Wikipedia strangely lists the UK voices of Deema and Oona the other way around. I just thought I’d fix it. LeafyAnimations (talk) 17:15, 3 October 2024 (UTC)

Trump Coachella incident
Hello and good morning (or good evening depending on your timezone), you made a redirect from the page that I recently created. You said in your edit summary that "only the NYPost and Independent call this an assassination attempt and neither are RS." However, the NYPost and Independent are not listed in Wikipedia:Deprecated sources and some other sources also described the incident as an assassination attempt. If you could clarify what you meant in your edit summary, that would be helpful for me to understand.
Best wishes
- Zweiedit (talk) 17:11, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Zweiedit Hello and thank you for reaching out. I appreciate your efforts on making that page. My concern is that WP:NYPOST is not a reliable source and was the primary source supporting the claim that the event was an assassination attempt. WP:THEINDEPENDENT is a reliable source, but it appears they are quoting the sheriff. At best, it is WP:TOOSOON for the article. EvergreenFir (talk) 17:41, 14 October 2024 (UTC)

Invitation to participate in a research
Hello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .
Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind Regards,

Proxies
Hi, those IPs are all proxies. Long-term, hard blocks are advisable. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:50, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- @HJ Mitchell Ah, thanks for the info. I have a meeting in 5 minutes. You are welcome to update the blocks if you wish. Otherwise I'll try to get to them afterwards.
- Is there a specific way to tell if they are proxies? EvergreenFir (talk) 18:53, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- I've upgraded the two I spotted. I didn't go looking for any others. I'm not stalking your block log, just watching AIV! ;) You can click the "proxy checker" link in the toolbar at the bottom of the contribs page, which opens this Toolforge tool. It can be hit and miss but it's pretty good at picking up these VPNGate IPs, though with this particular person it's safe to assume any IP they're using is an open proxy.
