Exinct stands for Extended Inhibitort Context discovered by Singh and coworkers in 2004[1] . Exinct causes skipping of exon 7 of SMN2 gene. This leads to production of a short protein in patients of spinal muscular atrophy [2].Presence of Exinct was also supported by in vivo selection of entire SMN exon 7 [3].

AfD nomination of Exinct

[edit]

I have nominated Exinct, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Exinct. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. The article 3'-Cluster has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

IMHO, (1) topics is so insignifcant that it does not deserve a separate article, (2) similarly to exinct, has been created to promote one particular researcher and his concepts.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. kashmiri (talk) 16:40, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
