bold in table headers

[edit]

FYI, you don't need to bold table headers, compare

header1 header2
data1 data2

there should be no difference in the appearance of the two headers. this will simplify the tables you have been adding. thank you. Frietjes (talk) 16:25, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Extent Midpoint (talk) 16:35, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed all the unnecessary bolding from my tables. Extent Midpoint (talk) 04:14, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited California locations by voter registration, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Republican Party (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Regarding crime rates for Humboldt County

[edit]

Hello, I am a new user (today is my first day.) I'm a reporter in Humboldt County and looking at your crime stats. I was wondering if you have the ranking on the stats. That would help put them in context. For instance, Humboldt's violent crime rate. Is it the highest in California or is it the lowest? How does it rank by county? For example: Is it #1 out of the 58 counties meaning it has the lowest crime rate or is it #57 meaning it is the second to the highest? Or?

I would like the information on this to use in a story but I suspect that everyone would find this wonderful addition to our California County's Wiki pages even more useful with a third column of information giving ranking.

Thank you. If it is easier, you can email me directly at mskymkemp@gmail.com

KymKemp (talk) 17:15, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I do. Please check California locations by crime rate#Counties for crime rates for all counties in California. All columns in the table are sortable. After sorting, it's easy to copy the table into Excel and make a ranking. Extent Midpoint (talk) 17:24, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Captions in tables are important

[edit]

Hey, it appears that [this edit https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=San_Benito_County,_California&diff=578655138&oldid=572475874&diffmode=source] and many other similar ones are a bit broken - the header row does not appear because there isn't a real caption. I fixed it with this edit. II | (t - c) 06:10, 21 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
