Frank Gambale article
[edit]Greetings. There are several major issues with the edits you have tried to make (1, 2):
- On Wikipedia, only one website should be included in the infobox—you have tried adding four, which basically constitutes advertising. See the rule here.
- In the occupation and label fields, no full stops are used after the last entry and the word "Records" is omitted.
- As far as being the originator of sweep picking, such profound claims on Wikipedia do not fly without reliable sources. Note that self-published sources in this case are not acceptable. Furthermore, just to throw it out there, Malmsteen was sweeping in the early 1980s; as were many others decades before Brave New Guitar came out in 1985. As with tapping, it is highly unlikely that any one musician can be said to have invented the technique. It is like saying "who invented the wheel?"
- In general, your edits are in need of major copyediting—ideally before being published—as they continually break the syntax of Wikipedia by containing red links all over the place, as well as poor use of grammar and punctuation. I have made some clean-ups to address this.
- 'Gambale tuning' is good to include, but needs a source and clarification—in this case, something from the man himself is fine. What kind of tuning is it exactly?
- If Raison D'être was released in 2005, why are there sources (1, 2, 3) giving a release date of 2004?
If this is indeed Gambale himself, please read Wikipedia's guidelines on conflict of interest just to make sure everything is above board. Accuracy and verifiability is the key here. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 19:35, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
