Kimi ni Todoke
Hey! Thanks for catching the bit of my edit that may have been unnecessary; I thought I would clarify that light novel section so it didn't look redundant - having two "light novel" sections - but completely missed the fact that it was already mentioned within the section itself...
But on another note: I mainly changed the second title for season 2 because I thought it was awkwardly phrased and perhaps redundant (we know the series is called Kimi ni Todoke). If people prefer to see it that way, that's okay, but in either case, it may be helpful to add a title to the section above it (which now just says "Anime Television Series") in order to make the section more consistent, clear at first glance, and reader friendly. If we want to stay in line with the title reverted to for the second season, maybe we could title that first section "Kimi ni Todoke 1st season" or even "Kimi ni Todoke". I just think that part needs some amount of consistency in the way of some title to show it's separate and complete entity. Since I couldn't find any particulars on how the seasons should officially be named, it seems anything to clarify that section would work (I'm still of the opinion that "(season 1)" and "(season 2)" as titles are the best way to clarify that area without taking any royalties on season titles). I don't know if you recognized that reverting that edit would change the season titles, but either way, in case it does matter to you, I would love to hear what your thoughts are on making an edit in the vein of season title clarification. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mldavis92 (talk • contribs) 08:02, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

Citations
I've noticed your rapid-fire additions of {{cn}} tags to articles; I suggest reading Wikipedia's guidance on lead sections, which do not require citations for most content within the lead that is cited elsewhere. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 14:37, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
- Hm... Wrong talk? Indeed I've added cn tags to several articles but I've not added any cn to any article's lead... I suggest double checking before making accusations and doubting on my aptitude as a Wikipedian... Wow, I've not read a guidance that I had already to explain to many other editors...? Sorry but you were not polite, David Fuchs... Gabriel Yuji (talk) 03:46, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
Little Battlers Experience
I wanted to give you a heads up since you had deleted earlier info that showed which episodes weren't dubbed. Frankly you should have never deleted that info since an episode summary could still be added to it while showing it wasn't dubbed. That's not why I'm writing though. I have created a separate page titled List of Danball Senki episodes and deleted the episode list on the Little Battlers Experience page. On the list page I have listed all the episodes for Danball Senki, Danball Senki W, Danball Senki Wars, and Little Battlers Experience. You might ask why I did Danball Senki and Little Battlers Experience seperate. I did it because the dub, Little Battlers Experience, doesn't dub 9 episodes and abridges another 18 episodes to get it down to 26 episodes. Since there are a lot of differences because of the edits, I personally feel it is better to do a separate episode list for them and then note on the Little Battlers Experience episodes which Danball Senki episodes they used to get the content. It also makes it where anyone who watches only the dub doesn't come and ask why they haven't seen all the additional material that isn't listed. Currently I'm going through and rewatching Danball Senki, adding episode summaries as I go along, so all of them will eventually have episode summaries. I will follow it with both sequel series until episode summaries have been added for all the episodes. Bigddan11 (talk) 19:55, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
Nausicaä intro
I've considerably expanded the intro of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (manga), as per your recommendation for the article to be considered GA-class. Can you take a look? Also, just to be sure, can the user who recommends a review of an article for GA-status actually perform the review themselves, or do they have to wait until somebody else does the review for them? Typographical errors in quotations
Hi there. In reference to this edit, I just thought I'd mention that {{sic}} advises that we just skip using the template for simple typographical errors. It's not a big deal, and I honestly don't care very much one way or the other. But it is kind of funny that we have a template that discourages its own use. Anyway, I'm glad whenever these obscure articles get a little attention from established editors. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:21, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
- @NinjaRobotPirate: Hm, interesting... I've never stopped to read what that template said since I thought it would be pretty simplistic or obvious information. Hm, sincerely, it doesn't matter to me too what version should be kept. However, as I LilHelpa fixed the typo and I've "disfixed" [sic] it I'd like to hear his/her opinion. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 03:45, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
- Yep, I run into this stuff all the time. It is not always easy to determine if the typo was made by the contributor or the source, particularly in regards to its vs it's In verbal quotes I will usually change it. I did see one time somewhere that a minor error was permitted to be fixed if the meaning of the quote was not changed.
Though I have not been able to find that reference (yet). See WP:MOSQUOTE Often a correction permits better flow for the reader. Making the correction often stimulates the contributor to "sic" it, or if there is a complaint I often sic it myself. --LilHelpa (talk) 16:30, 11 February 2015 (UTC)

WikiProject Research Invitation
Hello Wikipedians,
We’d like to invite you to participate in a study that aims to explore how WikiProject members coordinate activities of distributed group members to complete project goals. We are specifically seeking to talk to people who have been active in at least one WikiProject in their time in Wikipedia. Compensation will be provided to each participant in the form of a $10 Amazon gift card.
The purpose of this study is to better understanding the coordination practices of Wikipedians active within WikiProjects, and to explore the potential for tool-mediated coordination to improve those practices. Interviews will be semi-structured, and should last between 45-60 minutes. If you decide to participate, we will schedule an appointment for the online chat session. During the appointment you will be asked some basic questions about your experience interacting in WikiProjects, how that process has worked for you in the past and what ideas you might have to improve the future.
You must be over 18 years old, speak English, and you must currently be or have been at one time an active member of a WikiProject. The interview can be conducted over an audio chatting channel such as Skype or Google Hangouts, or via an instant messaging client. If you have questions about the research or are interested in participating, please contact Michael Gilbert at (206) 354-3741 or by email at mdg@uw.edu.
We cannot guarantee the confidentiality of information sent by email.

Manga de Dokuha
Hi Gabriel. Thanks for your review of the Manga de Dokuha article. On closer inspection, can see that you are right and that the article is pretty well referenced.
Main concern when I added the template, was the 132 "references" which are actually just links to the sales page at amazon.co.jp Risks the article being viewed as an advert directing readers to purchase site. Would appreciate your thoughts. --Haruth (talk) 19:39, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- Difficult one, Gabriel. Wonder if staying on the eastpress.co.jp site would be better (I'm assuming this is the publisher's site?). Hard for me to tell, but appears to be more publisher blurb than in-your-face sales. Might be a compromise worth considering? Best wishes --Haruth (talk) 22:32, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

When you replace the Syoboi references, be sure to double check those air dates. Most air dates where given in "media time"—basicly a 2-26 hour clock—whereas the Agency for Cultural Affairs gives the actual dates. —Farix (t | c) 21:33, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Great find!!!
OMG, you found academic analysis of Angel Sanctuary! Seriously just made my day. Manga almost never gets academic analysis, and I was completely resigned to never seeing any of Ms. Yuki's works (weeell, that and Ms. Mizuno's) critically discussed outside of reviews. I'll have to look at it later, and I'm especially excited that it takes a look at the whole gender thing going on. Awesome work. Rapunzel-bellflower (talk) 20:59, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
Escola Japonesa de Manaus
Hi! I found there's a book written about the Escola Japonesa de Manaus. The Nikkey Shimbun also wrote an article about the school, so I went ahead and started its article in English. If I get more sources about Rio's Japanese school I could do that one too.
I don't know how many sources about the former Japanese schools in Belo Horizonte, Belem, and/or Vitoria exist... WhisperToMe (talk) 14:07, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Political userboxes
Hey Gabriel! I see you have a userbox that says you identify as a communist. Not so long ago, I also had a number of political userboxes on my user page, identifying as a fascist and anti-communist. A good friend of mine brought to my attention that it's properly best not to include such userboxes to avoid personal attacks and edit conflicts, and I removed all political userboxes I displayed. This is your userpage and I certainly don't want to decide what you should display and not display, but as a friendly suggestion from one editor to another, I think it would be best not to include just userboxes. RE: PlayStation Power
Hi Gabriel Yuji, unfortunately, I cannot find the PlayStation Power issue you want; I was able to use that one because I was lucky enough to find some scans of it here. However, if all you need is sources to cover the gameplay section, you can also use official strategy guides or the game manual. If you don't have any of these, you can even explicitly cite the actual video game as a primary source, as long as you support descriptive facts that can be verified by anyone who has access to the video game (check this). Generally, one should not have problems when citing the gameplay section of a video game because it is similar to the plot section of a film. Hope it helps. --Niwi3 (talk) 15:10, 5 August 2015 (UTC)

Rio de Janeiro Japanese school survives AFD at PT.Wikipedia
Gabriel,
I have some updates on some articles you may be interested in. The Portuguese article on the Rio Japanese school survived AFD on PT.Wikipedia: pt:Wikipédia:Páginas para eliminar/Associação Civil de Divulgação Cultural e Educacional Japonesa do Rio de Janeiro. The article on the Japanese school in Manaus was merged: pt:Wikipédia:Páginas para eliminar/Escola Japonesa de Manaus. WhisperToMe (talk) 14:35, 15 August 2015 (UTC)

Hōzuki no Reitetsu
All anime series in Japanese Wikipeida have a '放送局' section with details about first broadcasts and dates. We don't have it (don't add it) here yet. Also other Animeism series (and many other anime series) in English Wikipedia have generally all stations listed in the infobox in the absence of a section similar to 放送局. I think removing other stations from infobox (and article) and only mentioning the one station that airs the series earliest is removing a bit of useful information. Brazilian Dekasegi and Japanese schools
Gabriel,
I found that Hamamatsu Municipal High School has a Portuguese website. There are a few Japanese municipal schools which have Brazilian students, so there is info in Portuguese.
I wonder if somebody would be willing to find sourced secondary info on Hamamatsu Municipal High in particular. If so somebody may make an article on it in Portuguese (precedent was established with the Japanese school in Rio being kept during AFD on PTwiki).

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. うずまき
Hi, yes I moved the manga because I'm thinking there ought to be a dab page at the baseline like ja:うずまき. If I create a dab I intend to fix broken links obviously. looking in Google Books there doesn't seem to be any absolute majority topic for what is after all a common Japanese word. However if you object, I'm quite happy to create the dab page at Uzumaki (disambiguation) instead. Cheers In ictu oculi (talk) 17:12, 3 December 2015 (UTC)

Bad Day copy edit
Hello Gabriel Yuji: The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Bad Day (Daniel Powter song) has been completed. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I notice that some, but not all, of the urls used as citations in the article have been archived. I tried to bring up citation #126 and found it is effectively a dead link. I would suggest that all non-archived urls be archived as time allows to avoid this situation recurring. Kind regards, Twofingered Typist (talk) 21:04, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you! I was planning to archive all the sources in near future but I always postpone it because of my laziness. There are too many sources so I've focused on the most used or the ones that were difficult to find at first but I plan to archive them gradually. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 22:08, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi, are you sure you wikilinked the right article in Suehiro Maruo? From the context it seems to be referring to a magazine rather than a specific work, and the latter article does not mention Maruo. Besides, his ero-guro style and shojo manga are the last things you'd hear together.
By the way, great job with Princess Knight! i've been going through many of the Tezuka manga articles and it's one of the only ones that is in good shape. Opencooper (talk) 12:17, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

- So far I haven't been able to get the 2003 edition of The Slings & Arrows Comic Guide. The 1997 edition:
- Plowright, Frank, ed. (1997). The Slings & Arrows Comic Guide (First ed.). Aurum Press. p. 586. ISBN 1-85410-486-1.
- doesn't contain anything about A, A' , but for whatever it's worth (probably nothing) does contain a single sentence about Moto Hagio, at the end of a capsule review of They were 11: "With a delicate but deft touch, Moto Hagio, who both writes and draws the story, has produced a fun but thoughtful tale. ~NF", where NF, according to the front matter, stands for "Nigel Fletcher, co-editor of The Panelhouse, a highly regarded quarterly comics-related magazine for the reader with broad tastes." - Right, I'm just saying that so far I haven't been able to get my hands on the 2003 edition (the one that Google digitized), only the 1997 edition. For whatever reason, A, A' isn't in the earlier edition. The 1997 edition does mention Hagio briefly, so I copied that out just in case it was any use to you while you wait to see if someone can get the 2003 edition. Cobra the Animation episodes
I'm keen to add more information on the anime adaptations as I think it's a great, but undervalued series. I'm slowly writing the episode summaries. It's hard though to differentiate the content of the anime adaptations in the OVAs and animation seasons. On the manga page the broadcast and distributed versions are detailed but not the content of each series. I added them on the episodes pages as a way to do this. Maybe the Anime adaptations section could include them. What do you think? Happy if they are short, eg:
- Cobra travels to Mars stop the Pirate Guild unlocking secrets of the universe.
- Armaroid Lady's body starts to disappear so Cobra dives into the past to save her.
- 1-4 short story arcs of Cobra's different adventures.
