ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Geeuuare. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism on GWR NIGHT RIVIERA PAGE

[edit]

You have been reported for vandalism, on the GWR Night Rivera Sleeper page, if you do this again, I shall be taking further action.86.175.138.177 (talk) 17:59, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Actually my edit was not vandalism as asserted, but making the article compliant with WP:NFC#UUI policy. Based on this plus your history of abusive posts to others who have tried to help, can't see 'further action' being taken over seriously, but if you feel strongly enough then go for it. SPI

[edit]

Well done and good luck. I'm afraid I preferred to walk away once I realized how sour it was going and what was the likely/possible history. I don't know if it helps you but 86.164.203.67 and 86.134.240.38 seem to be the same person too - they just continue the same conversations across IPs. You have probably seen me moaning about all this here. Disappointingly, they do not seem to have got round to taking further action despite the many threats. As I say, good luck with this. DBaK (talk) 00:50, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

PS Are you supposed to notify the user?? Sorry, sorry ... DBaK (talk) 00:55, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Didn't see your edits, we just both came to the same conclusion independently. Case has been closed with no action, but then blocking the IP wouldn't of achieved anything given the editor's propensity to hop, but it all helps for future reference. Seems editor is back already (86.143.104.160), only a matter of time before he jumps back on his Night Riviera logo hobby horse. Wouldn't expect a formal complaint ever to be raised, editor is on the back foot and knows making a complaint may turn the spotlight on his activities. SPI instructions didn't indicate a need to notify the user, there is a section for the accused to comment, so perhaps they are notified by a bot? Geeuuare (talk) 00:33, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How nice of you to talk behind my back, always the same when you can't get your own way.86.183.182.67 (talk) 01:27, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

User:Devonexpressbus it's just your refusal or inability to accept consensus and abide by policies that are the problems. You were probably dealt with a bit harshly when originally blocked but given the way you have carried on since, we were always going to end up there. Geeuuare (talk) 06:04, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not make edits like this, which go against WP:NOTBROKEN, nor edits like this, which go against MOS:NOPIPE. There is no harm in linking to redirects, and in many cases, the page source is cleaner. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 09:45, 20 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Winchester, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Portsmouth railway station (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
