Quick note

[edit]

Hi, just spotted some of your copyediting. First off, thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy it and plan to stay. I just wanted to note though, it's not necessary to change spellings from British English to US English without a specific reason to do so (such as the article being about an American subject, or if the majority of the rest of the article is in US English). The Manual of Style stipulates that best practice is to maintain the existing type of English in an article, unless there's reason to change it. If nothing else, it'll save you a lot of work. Thanks again! AntiDionysius (talk) 12:35, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks for informing me. Gitt300 (talk) 09:02, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm --WikiUser1234945--. An edit you recently made to Academic year seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --WikiUser1234945-- (talk) 15:52, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making test edits to Wikipedia pages, such as the one you made with this edit to Criticism of desktop Linux, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --WikiUser1234945-- (talk) 15:53, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop making test edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to National Council of the Union of Burma. It is considered vandalism, which, under Wikipedia policy, can lead to being blocked from editing. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. --WikiUser1234945-- (talk) 15:56, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Rhetorical stance. --WikiUser1234945-- (talk) 15:56, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
