Speedy deletion nomination of The British freedom party
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The British freedom party requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Filing Flunky (talk) 17:53, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:British Freedom.JPG
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:British Freedom.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. [edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to British Freedom Party. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Sparthorse (talk) 22:55, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
I copied how the links were applied on the BNP website. Somebody must be wrong?¬¬¬¬
Which edits in particular are you disputing?
Samwalton9 (talk) 16:22, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
This one
I copied the links in exactly the way they were done on the British National party wiki page. They can't both be wrong? I'd like to know as I haven't been editing wiki pages very long.Greenpenwriter (talk) 17:29, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
- As I noted when I reverted your changes, please read WP:EL. In particular the section "Links normally to be avoided" includes: "10. Links to social networking sites (such as Myspace and Facebook), chat or discussion forums/groups (such as Yahoo! Groups), Twitter feeds, Usenet newsgroups or e-mail lists." Note also the section titled "Minimize the number of links" that says: "More than one official link should be provided only when the additional links provide the reader with unique content and are not prominently linked from other official websites. " Since the official website of the BFP does prominently link to the Facebook and Youtube sites, these links should not be included in the Wikipedia article. The fact that the BNP article doesn't follow these rules does not mean the BFP article is exempt from them, obviously. Sparthorse (talk) 17:58, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
But the BNP article obviously is?Greenpenwriter (talk) 18:44, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
- Not in the slightest. These links should be removed from that article too. I'll do that now. Sparthorse (talk) 18:45, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
Thank you. I shall endeavour to remember what I have learnt to date. I hope my other minor edits have been satisfactory so far?(Greenpenwriter (talk) 19:34, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
License tagging for File:The Majestic Cinema.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:The Majestic Cinema.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:06, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
File source problem with File:REffleytemple.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:REffleytemple.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 15:27, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Please claim your upload(s): File:The Majestic Cinema.JPG
[edit]Hi, Thank you, for uploading this file.
However, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure all media on English Wikipedia is correctly licensed and attributed it would be appreciated if you were able to confirm some details,
If it's your own work, please include {{own}}, amend the {{information}} added by a third party, and change the license to an appropriate "self" variant. You can also add |claimed=yes
to the {{media by uploader}} tag if it is present to indicate that you've acknowledged the image, and license shown (and updated the {{information}} where appropriate).
If it's not your own work please provide as much sourcing/authorship information as you are able to.
This will assist those reviewing the many many "free" images on commons that have not yet been transfered to Commons.Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:28, 18 June 2016 (UTC)
- As I recall the image was taken by myself using a digital camera. I have since been away. Sorry for the delay in replying. Greenpenwriter (talk) 08:14, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
