User talk:HeatherSchimming/William Augustus Bowles
Peer Review 11/10/23
[edit]This is a great draft! You've added so much information already and it is laid out in a very user-friendly manner. You've found some really good sources. I left some specific feedback in the peer review sandbox.

Dr Hyde's Feedback
[edit]Awesome draft !! The parts you plan to add will be important additions to the piece. The key tasks now are finishing the sections you’ve laid out and a little more citation about the Creek Nation.
1) Lay out the structure of your article or the new chunks of an old article with an Introduction and titles for the parts you want to add or rewrite.
I can see exactly where you are going with this and it makes sense. When you finish the last sections, then work on building the introduction about what you think is most important about Bowles and his moment.
2) Added new, high-quality sources (books, articles, authoritative websites)
Again, excellent work here. You have found and used good sources. The only thing that I think needs adding is more recent stuff about Creek History and some of its leaders. Check the footnotes in the Gould article, but also look at Haveman, Christopher D. Rivers of Sand: Creek Emigration and Relocation. 1st ed. Lincoln: UNP - Nebraska, 2016. OU has this online.
3)Written 50-60% of what you hope to add
Great work here to get this mostly laid out. At some point, you might have to decide to focus on finishing and extending several sections rather than working on fixing the whole article. You can leave some work other people to do later.
4) Thinking about linking as opposed to creating too much background
Here is where you might need to consider how much background people can get from other Wikipedia articles about other early Republic adventurers and important Creek history.
5) Started to clean up a few paragraphs
You can decide whether you want to do this on the mainspace or in your sandbox, but the clean up and fixing spelling and writing errors takes a while. Another next step is adding some maps and images.
