AfD for Bernice Madigan
The AfD for this lady has been seriously borked, to say the least. The main AfD is still open at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bernice Madigan. I see that you're kind of involved with some similar stuff for other supercentenarians and such, so I thought I'd give you a head's up. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:56, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'll stay out of it, but a while back when patrolling recent changes, I came across repeated attempts to delete or redirect this articles. I think someone is obsessed with eliminating them. And I'm sorry for messing the AfD up, they got to me and I reacted emotionally!--I am One of Many (talk) 04:01, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
Rusalka
Please, don't revert my edits. I know exactly what I am doing. I am going to write the entire synopsis for this opera. I have yet to see an opera article that includes citations for synopses. Trust me, it will be correct, relevant, and reasonably well written. Thank you for being a watchdog, but in this case it is not necessary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.39.180.43 (talk) 04:16, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, I don't want to interfere with good faith efforts and I trust you will source it all, but you should also explain what you are doing on the talk page. Cheers.--I am One of Many (talk) 04:24, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

As reviewing administrator, I did not delete the user page you listed for speedy. For a user to give their name and place of work is not advertising, and well within the rules for user pages. DGG ( talk ) 14:10, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
- I completely agree with you on policy, but I don't believe that this user was following policy and that is why I tagged it. I'll explain my decision. I believe that the user was gaming the system to promote spam (this is a common ploy by spammers on Wikipedia). The user's sandbox (which I tagged csd and not deleted) was, as I recall, pure spam created by the user for the company. Thus, given the spam link on the user page to the sandbox with spam, I viewed the user page as a spam page and the user's as attempting to game the system.--I am One of Many (talk) 17:00, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
vandalism via reverting edits on page: Husam Muhammad Amin
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Hossam_Mohammed_Amin. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
Please do not revert my edits without even reading my source. WMDs were found AND used against American coalition forces in multiple instances, including the al Baya attack on May 16th, 2003, as is CLEARLY stated in pages 135-147 of Seal Target Geronimo by Chuck Pfarrer, the reference I cited. This is a significant edit, as it calls into question Amin's innocence - he was NOT innocent. This is also a relevant source, and by no means contradictory. Your edits are vandalism, please refrain from undoing mine.24.130.62.57 (talk) 06:13, 6 June 2013 (UTC) --struck edits by IP troll.--I am One of Many (talk) 18:20, 8 June 2013 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Hossam_Mohammed_Amin, you may be blocked from editing.
My edits are based upon reliable sources, your reverts are in fact the ones which are based on "fringe-theory and nonsense." If you are so sure of your facts, why don't you read the source I cited, or provide concrete sources of your own which prove mine false? Chuck Pfarrer is a respected author, among other professions, and he himself cites other sources such as first-hand recounts, news articles, Wikileaks, etc. and provides an in-depth neutral commentary. Your edits should be considered vandalism.24.130.62.57 (talk) 16:04, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Hossam Mohammed Amin shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. DavidLeighEllis (talk) 02:02, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
In the future, please familiarize yourself with WP:3RR, WP:BLP, WP:DTR and investigate the situation because you would have discovered I followed policy by the book in every way.--part of the IP troll's trick I am One of Many (talk) 18:27, 8 June 2013 (UTC)

- We do want to have the best sourced information in each article especially of WP:BLP. The best way to avoid have another editor revert edits in a biography of a living person is to put in edit summaries and better yet, briefly explain the changes on the talk page. Was the intention to remove the reference as well? It is not clear to me why that should be removed. Can that publicized incident be referenced and then a statement asserting he was removed be added?--I am One of Many (talk) 21:59, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

Stephane Bancel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephane_Bancel is a self prohttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephane_Bancelaganda more like a resume, most resume leads to Moderna Therapeutics or insignificant internet pages. - You could be correct, but on Wikipedia, you can't just start deleting an article. We have formal procedures for how to go about this. I'll take a look at the article now and see if you have a case. If so, we can talk about WP:AFD.--I am One of Many (talk) 00:21, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

Moderna like thousands are companies in the World, similarly many references leads to Bancel on Moderna's web site.
- We do have articles on thousands of companies. If there are reliable sources, then articles don't get deleted. Bancel is discussed in Boston Business Journal, so I think it is here to stay.--I am One of Many (talk) 00:36, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

Edits to Southern Progress Corporation
One of Many:
The edits that I made to the article are based on information that is already cited in at the bottom of article. The note at the top states that there is inadequate citation, but duplicate citation of materials already cited seems to me to be overkill. There is a citation to a 2008 article about the departure of the four executives of Southern Progress corporation. So the current listing of them is incorrect. The circulation number I changed came from the Wikipedia listing of 2012 circulation figures for United States magazines. I went to the Alliance for Audit Media website to get the circulation for Coastal Living, which is not listed on Wikipedia. If one goes to the old Southern Progress website, the individual is shifted to the general Time, Inc. website and need to navigate to the Lifestyle Group page, which I provided, to learn about Southern Progress publications. I come to Wikipedia for accurate information. I actually donate money to Wikipedia to help it provide accurate information. When I see someone removing accurate information for some unknown reason I cannot help but believe that this venture is doomed and one that I will not waste my time in supporting. Charles Taylor
- The article is badly sourced, so you should have sources for the cooperate changes. Also, include edit summaries and/or explanation on the talk page so that any edits you make can be distinguished from spammers.--I am One of Many (talk) 00:35, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

Medio Nomination for Deletion
Hello I am One of Many,
I am a college student working on a Wikipedia page called Medio. I was editing and formatting the page on my userpage Winvite when it was speedily deleted. I have spent much time on this article and every thing I have wrote is directly from the sources cited. I read the guidelines for advertisement and I do not see how it violates those as the information is cited directly from the sources. I was not done writing the page, at the time of deletion I was emailing wiki help to have it reviewed and acquire help to improve the article. That is why I was editing it on my userpage. If you could un-delete the page I would like to have it reviewed and reworked to further improve the article. Or if you could give me direct help as to where I could be helped, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your help, Billy Winvite (talk) 17:52, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Billy, the first thing you need to do is to contact the administrator who deleted your user page User:Amatulic. I don't recall the content, but it clearly came across as promotional. Tell the administrator that you are going to turn it into an article that will have reliable, independent, third party sources. Only say that, of course, if there really are such sources. Ask the administrator to restore it in your sandbox. Keep in mind that if it is not a notable company, organization, etc., it will likely end up getting deleted. But, if it is, this is how to proceed. Best of luck.--I am One of Many (talk) 17:58, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Hey, I am One of Many
I'm pretty new to the whole Wiki scene (as far as having an account goes) and was only trying to come up with a fun, unique username without intending it to be misleading to anyone. In hindsight, I can see that it may be leading to some, however, I am certainly not a bot and have no intentions of spamming anyone.
- You should request a name change WP:RENAME otherwise your user name remains misleading to anyone who encounters it. You do seem to know more than the typical new user!--I am One of Many (talk) 16:50, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- To be honest, I don't really know a whole lot-I just copy what other people do in their posting formats. And I requested a username change, so hopefully my username won't be so misleading in a few days (I changed it to Aah Zombies on the Loose).

Riverside Park Dance Pavilion
Hi, nice job with Riverside Park Dance Pavilion, NRHP-listed in Nebraska. I added a little to the article. I wonder about your adding to the lead paragraph, maybe a sentence saying why it is important could be added there. I was trying to compose something myself, but am confused whether the place was most active _before_ the 1940s or busy _during_ the 1940s. Maybe there is some confusion in the article now, and/or in its sources? Anyhow, thank you for your contribution already, and keep up the good work! P.S. Feel free to join Wikiproject NRHP and/or to post any question or comment at its Talk page, shortcut wt:NRHP. --doncram 23:39, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Alternate user account isn't promotional
Please don't do CSD tags like you did with this edit. The user was clearly pointing out that they are a German Wikipedia editor and was linking to their account on there. Nothing about it was promotional. SilverserenC 09:55, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

My Username
Hello. I noticed that you reported my username on the administrator noticeboard, the purpose of which is to deal with "usernames that are such blatant and serious problems that they need to be immediately blocked." You stated that my username violated Wikipedia policy, and that it was "misleading, offensive and disruptive." One person has already responded to you and suggested that you come to me with your concerns. In any event, I have looked at the policy and do not see a violation. There certainly is nothing in the name that is even remotely misleading (misleading about what?). As to the name being offensive or disruptive, the only way to get there is to deem that any lighthearted fun involving the name of our current Commander-in-Chief is out of bounds. (Would the same standard have held for our previous president?) So I think we will have to agree to disagree, but I thought I'd contact you and ask you to be more specific as to what the trouble was. Corpse-ManoftheObamaclypse (talk) 23:06, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
- The name violates WP:IU: Usernames that seem intended to provoke emotional reaction ("trolling"). This interpretation was further supported by your earlier creation of the account User:Barack Obama DA PREZ.--I am One of Many (talk) 00:00, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Why Would You Say That about Me?
Hi I_am_one_of_many. You told Dennis Brown I tried to "trick" Tokyogirl79. I was straightforward and forthcoming in every respect with Tokyogirl79. You have supported me in the past, why would you do something like this to me now? I also feel you should have come to me, or Tokyogirl79, rather than tattling to Dennis. Why Dennis? Are you an ANI person now? This is Colton Cosmic.
- I did believe you had an issue early on, but your behavior later has convinced me that you are just tolling here. Tokyogirl79 is a relatively new admin and I believed you were taking advantage of that.I am One of Many (talk) 18:31, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, now you call me "troll?" I was 100% straightforward with Tokyogirl79, taking advantage in no way at all, even warned her about the troops of bad admins chasing me for fun. Do not run around telling people I tried to "trick" her, talk to me if you have such concerns. I thought you were cool, but the stupidity of those you're surrounding yourself with is rubbing off. This is Colton Cosmic.
- Of course you tried to trick her. You "promised" to be "Certainly I promise to WP:CIV". Obviously, from why you have written above, you do not appear capable of civility. Now, go troll somewhere else, we are done here.I am One of Many (talk) 23:23, 26 July 2013 (UTC)

Concern with our new user page!
Hi, I recently setup the user page for GPGuide, and noticed that as part of your review, you seem to have recommended that the user be considered as spam! (assuming I correctly understood your note). Not sure why you would make such an observation? Are you familiar with GPGuide and Formula 1? Our "print" media (Grand Prix Guide) has been published for 30+ years and distributed within the sport (as it's not available to the public) as the de-facto reference for all Formula 1 data and statistics. The book is the primary source for all international media and journalists who cover the sport of Formula 1. As of 4 years ago, we expanded to the web in order to make our content available to the global fan base. Our history and experience therefore make us an ideal source for contributing (and correcting, when needed), content on Wikipedia pertaining to Formula 1. We can assure you and the Wikipedia admins that we are not here to advertise or promote anything. Our main goal is to ensure that F1 data is properly and correctly reported. Or did I completely misunderstand your note? Thanks, — Preceding unsigned comment added by GPGuide (talk • contribs) 05:33, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Oh, I know! I just need a little help!
Dear Aaron,
Thank you for sending me a message! I actually KNOW I'm supposed to be citing all this information I've been adding to the 'Hospital gown' page, but... I just don't know enough about how to do it!!! I'm sorry! As for the color palette and patterns I included at the top of the 'Fashion and Design', I tried hard to upload a picture of folded hospital gowns of the colors described, but I learned that I have to be a registered user on Wikipedia to do that!
I would appreciate just a little friendly direction of how to do these things. Also, do NOT think, under any circumstances, that I was... um, 'trolling'... when I included info about young patients feeling awkward and humiliated when wearing hospital gowns, or that teenage boys can have erotic thoughts from not wearing underwear under a gown. I know this to be true, believe me.
My biggest reliable source for this info is Yahooanswers.com, and I assure you that almost every topic on hospital gowns centers around the embarrassment factor. In fact, I was trying REALLY hard to tamper down the actual crude descriptions I read without watering down the hard facts every patient knows if they've had surgery. (For example: One topic on YahooAnswers.com said: "Why do hospital gowns have to show our butts?", another said: "Is there a law saying you can't wear underwear under a hospital gown?", or "Do I have to be naked under a hospital gown?", and all the best answers from about four sources said that it's mandatory for patients to remove underwear because O.R.s have to be sterile, without the possibility of germs causing an infection, and underwear also can't be warn if a patient is on a urinary catheter. As for the gown changing info, I saw that on a Youtube video. I even went back to the Dr.Oz page before typing in the 'Doctor-sanctioned mooning' part on young children. Every truly reliable source about this is out there, and most all I've come across dabbles in the 'emotional' or 'psychological' aspect of hospital gowns. I even made SURE that those flashy, modern-style hospital gown websites were copied down, letter for letter. I just didn't know how to provide the links!!!!
- I'm not Aaron, but since I reverted your edits, I think it is intended for me. If you can provide me with refs, I'll show you how to put them in. Yahoanswers is not considered a reliable source, but it you have other reliable sources, I can help you out.--I am One of Many (talk) 04:11, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
I just want you to know I meant well, and I was approaching it all from an academic perspective, but I hope you can guide me on how to operate these Wikipedia functions. After I've cited this stuff, can the info I typed be re-inserted on the Wikipedia page? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.197.200.162 (talk) 04:06, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
- We can revert back to your edits.I am One of Many (talk) 04:13, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
I also wanted to add a 'Popular Culture' section on the 'Hospital Gown' page...
In addition to the 'Fashion and design' section I was working on, I was also planning on adding a 'Popular culture' section as well. I was planning on one of my many references being the memorable scene from 'Something's Gotta Give', where Jack Nicholson's buttocks are accidentally exposed from the back of his hospital gown. Is it possible to cite movie references onto a page like hospital gowns?
P.S. I really don't think I can remember everything I referenced on the 'Fashion and design section'! Even though you had to delete it until citations are made, do you have any way I could reaccess what I typed, like on the edit history page or anything, so I don't have to think through everything? (It's fine if you can't. I'll still manage.)
- Ok, your edits are back and I have indicated where citations are needed. Paste in a URL on my talk page (indicated where the reference goes) and I'll show you how to make a reference in the article.--I am One of Many (talk) 04:56, 12 August 2013 (UTC)

Editor 172.251.240.89
Hi. I noticed that you have also reverted the IP editor 172.251.240.89's additions of a "Featured character" column to the first two season pages of Once Upon a Time. As you have probably noticed, he has ignored the warnings you left on his talk page and continues to add the content without discussion or reason. I can't continue to revert him on my own, for fear of edit warring. I was wondering if you had any ideas about what might be done. This editor doesn't seem to be very community-minded. Allen3 talk 00:37, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Congratulations
on your DYK!
General comment on layout:
- Direct quotations of scholarly books, or statements from the media, etc, are not set apart with very large quotation marks, unless that are the topic of the article itself, or of the section.
- The quotation needs to be able to stand alone, to deserve that treatment. If you have to write "Joe Bloggs said: Quote", then it is not the right place. If the quote follows on directly from the sentence before it, the it is the wrong place for stand-alone quote marks.
- The sort of places where they are appropriate are something like "To be or not to be" in an article about that line of poetry, or about famous quotations from Shakespeare ; "If you seek his monument' look around you" on the tomb of Christopher Wren; "Government of the people, by the people, for the people" etc.
Amandajm (talk) 01:44, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- That was the very first time I have used very large quotation marks. My intent was to highlight the main point of each of those sections. After the DYK is over, I'll change them to ordinary quotes (I would now, but it may be disruptive to readers, since it will be getting a large number of hits. Thanks. --I am One of Many (talk) 03:57, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
3 huge AfDs
Dear One of Many,
I have speedy closed your huge AfDs because they are unhelpful. If G5 doesn't apply, you need a substantive reason for deletion, and individualized AfDs. I don't have the time or the energy to remove the deletion templates you added on all these articles. Will you kindly remove them yourself? -- Y not? 15:45, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- They have no sources. How do you know that any of them are notable? The sockmaster who created them, have produced a large number of non-notable articles. I realize that this is a lot of work, but since when do allow articles of dubious notability with no reliable sources exist on Wikipedia? --I am One of Many (talk) 15:52, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- P.S. I had put up the first batch as individualized AfDs with the same rational. 100% were deleted. I thought this would be the easiest to deal with and it certainly would have been easier for me to nominated. I am One of Many (talk) 15:55, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- So put them up individually. Each one deserves discussion, each one can be rescued by adducing sources. These all seem like large companies. They should all be notable... A mass AfD is unhelpful. 2 or three related articles are tolerable, but a dozen that have nothing in common except the user who created them... not ok. And you need to articulate a better deletion rationale than "this guy was blocked" -- Y not? 16:25, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- I can put them up individually, but it will take me a couple of days. The rational for grouping them seems reasonable and the best way to give them a good look. There is a clear rational for deletion as well. They are all articles without sources 3 to 5 years old, Google search do not turn up articles on them (other than mentioning them), and no editors other than socks have substantially edited them. Of the articles still remaining that Edson Rosa created, the ones I nominated were about 30%. There were many non-referenced articles they created, which looked like they might be notable (though I could find no sources and I added sources when I found them).
- Suggestion Another solution would be to propose a community ban on Edson Rosa and if approved, just delete them?
- You gotta do it the hard way. For example, I can tell you immediately that Rosseti is notable. Just look at this for example. I have no time to look into more of them, but we need to follow process to delete any article. -- Y not? 17:19, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- Good point. If I recall, they created 3 articles on Russian companies and 2 of them appeared to be about fraudulent companies, so I nominated all three. I'm going to nominate them individually and leave this one out and maybe some others if there is a hint of notabilityI am One of Many (talk) 17:29, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- I translated the Russian article and the sources were mainly company links. Nothing that appears to establish notability, so it is best to have other eyes on it.I am One of Many (talk) 18:42, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

- There is only on think it need and that is reliable independent sources that show it is notable. If they exist, then there is no problem. What I suggest is recognize that it will be deleted and when the book receives notable coverage (e.g., it is reviewed in the New York Times), then you can create an article about it with no issue of notability.I am One of Many (talk) 17:53, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

SPI
They are putting so much effort and doing their best to come up with some bogus accounts with my name, although funnily, those are totally far from who I am. I am not affected because I know those links are not mine. Anyway, I will just wait for the outcome of the investigations. I have opened my side and now its up to the CheckUsers to deliberate on the case and hopefully they will be led to the truth and prove whoever is telling the truth and those who abuse the goodness of Wikipedia. Moving on with my normal, non-techie life now and will check back intermittently on the progress. I hope people who keep Wikipedia as great as it is will continue on their worthy cause. So many articles here has helped me in my studies before and the standards have been kept because of people like you who strive to uphold it. Sadly, my first Wiki edit experience turned out to be a non-fruitful one. It would be great to be able to give back to Wiki...someday. May the truth prevail! Thanks for keeping an eye on this investigation. P.S. I removed my contributions I made for Misconceptions2. [[2]]Marie013 (talk) 12:07, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
- Marie013, what you have experienced here is very unusual. There are people who misuse Wikipedia, but there are also a number of people who do their best to prevent their misuse and continue to build an encyclopedia. Currently, SPI is a little bit shorthanded, but it will all be resolved. Please do consider sticking around and if you have any questions in the future, I will be happy to do my best to answer them! --I am One of Many (talk) 15:42, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
