Speedy deletion nomination of Veela (singer)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Veela (singer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.

IP vandalism
So, I have a sneaking suspicion that you just used an IP address to vandalize your own userpage. I've revdel'd the content, and if this not the case, I'm sorry for suggesting it, but it geolocates to the same area you claim to live and is the same network as other IP addresses that I'm pretty sure you used to restore content people had removed from articles that you were active on and that Ferret hinted at above.
Needless to say, if my hunch is correct, and I think it is, and you continue the self-vandalize, I'll just block this account and semi-protect both the talk page and the userpage, because we don't need people lying to us to make us feel bad about them. It wastes time of both vandal fighters and administrators who have to revdel and block the IP. If you want personal information removed from Wikipedia, I highly suggest contacting an oversighter or emailing the oversight list by following the instructions at WP:OS. Re: User page edit
You vastly overestimate the severity of your "crimes". All anyone has suggested to you is that claiming to be retired, then continuing to edit anyways, is less than honest and potentially wasting time for vandal patrollers and admins. If you want to edit, then just edit as yourself. All the same advice as before still applies: Step away from reverting, AIV, ANI, etc. Focus on editing. -- ferret (talk) 22:26, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, agreed. My note above was only about self-vandalizing. Feel free to also do a clean start under a new name or as an IP. Just follow the advice we gave before. TonyBallioni (talk) 22:32, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Ferret and TonyBallioni: Thank you both. I will notify someone if the clean start ever happens. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk • contribs) 22:33, 29 May 2018 (UTC)

Question about off-wiki harassment
This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
Within the last 30 days, I've received 2 comments on videos on my YouTube channel that I feel are a violation of Wikipedia's policies against off-wiki harassment. I have since deleted both of these comments, but have managed to take screenshots of both of these comments separately beforehand as evidence. I've already sent this evidence to another user I feel I can trust, but is there anywhere else I can send the evidence? I can't seem to identify possible users here on Wiki that could be linked to each or both of these YouTube accounts. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk • contribs) 01:42, 13 June 2018 (UTC)

Deaths in 2018 and social media
Hi. I'm afraid the long-held consensus at the Deaths pages dictates to us that none of the contributing editors to the page uses direct Twitter or Facebook (or similar social media) references when posting an obituary notification, by agreement. Reliable sources which themselves quote from Twitter or Facebook are carefully assessed and used as and when they appear - unfortunately, nothing like that has happened for Patten so far, but when it does it can be used there. It's frustrating I know. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 04:27, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
- No, thank you. Many editors are outraged when I point things like this out to them, and start reverting. If I hadn't have removed the Twitter reference, one of the other regulars soon would have. You have acted with dignity - I wish there were more like you! Best wishes. Ref (chew)(do) 04:32, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

Merry Christmas!
Methinks I see an heavenly Host Of angels on the wing; Methinks I hear their cheerful notes, So merrily they sing. Let all your fears be banished hence, Glad tidings I proclaim; For there's a Savior born today And Jesus is his name. Lay down your crooks and quit your flocks, To Bethlehem repair; And let your wandering steps be squared By yonder shining star. Seek not in courts or palaces; Nor royal curtains draw; But search the stable, See your God extended on the straw. Then learn from hence, ye rural swains, The meekness of your God, Who left the boundless realms of joy, To ransom you with blood. The master of the inn refused A more commodious place; Ungenerous soul of savage mold And destitute of grace. - from William Billings, "Shiloh" |

Move vandalism?
Hi there. You recently restored redirects (those relating to Ninjawerks) that I had originally made because you say they were move-vandalised. Do you recall by whom and to what sort of titles they were moved? I'm very confused looking back at this. Any light you're able to shed on this would be appreciated. Ss112 15:20, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Ss112: The edit history of Ninja (streamer) shows the vandalism was done by a user called Majora majora majora (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), who is blocked as a sock of Eltomas2003 (talk · contribs) after the related case. Apparently, the page was briefly moved to He died of Ligma. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 17:43, 31 December 2018 (UTC)

Firepower Records
Hello JalenFolf, please stop deleting my work as I spend a lot of time on this page adding all the discography and artists in the roster. Why would you delete all the discography of Firepower? I don't understand why you're doing that since it's a true information that has been verified on multiple websites.
Stop deleting my work, thank you.
Sarcastic Bear — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarcastic Bear (talk • contribs) 22:40, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Sarcastic Bear: It does not matter whether this information has been verified across other Wikipedia articles. Wikipedia is all about external sources. Every piece of information needs to be backed by a third-party source. See WP:RS and WP:V. As for the discography, my only concern is WP:NOTDIRECTORY. Wikipedia is not your personal directory of every single release on the record label. My advice in this situation is to refer to WP:REFBEGIN as a guide to how references work.. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 00:16, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
To: @JalenFolf : I don't even know if this information has been verified on other wikipedia articles and it doesn't matter, everything is verifiable from the official beatport page of Firepower Records. When a new release is announced, I add it on the wikipedia page so that it can stay up to date. I'm just adding official information that can be easily confirmed, that's all. And what do you mean by personal directory? You mean that it's not my own page? If so I know it and that's why I don't write up wrong information on it.
I added the official beatport in the references. And also, why do you want to delete the page? Why do you delete stuff that is easily verifiable? Why are you doing this, do you hate Firepower Records? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarcastic Bear (talk • contribs) 01:00, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

Draft
can you please tell me what are the rules followed by including information in this draft Ashi Singh article Dotgirlfine (talk) 20:38, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Dotgirlfine: See WP:GNG, which requires significant coverage of the person in multiple independent reliable sources. Just because they exist on Twitter and have appeared in one film is not enough for inclusion. My advice for this situation is if there's not enough coverage for the person, it probably isn't a good subject for inclusion in the encyclopedia. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 21:01, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
Please check again Ashi Singh draft I included many references.please consider this article I done so much effort on this article Dotgirlfine (talk) 19:50, 7 February 2019 (UTC)

Dealing with copyvios
Thanks for flagging up the copyvio on Big Wild. Just a couple of small things:
- If you identify a copyvio, you can (should) remove the offending content and then mark the revision(s) for revdel
- As well as identifying the first revision the copyvio appears in, you need to specify the last as well (often the one before you place the {{copyvio-revdel}} template). The way the software works requires all the revisions between the offending content being added and being removed to be suppressed otherwise the material will still show up if anyone looks at the intervening revisions.

I have problems. Please help me.
Nice to meet you. At First, I made the page "Cycle (Dean Fujioka album)". But I wanted to exchange from "Cycle (Dean Fujioka album)" to "Cycle (DEAN FUJIOKA album)". So I made the new page. And I wanted to let it link to Japanese ver. "Cycle (DEAN FUJIOKAのアルバム)". So I went to Wikidata and tried to do it. But it was difficult for me to do it. Furthermore the word "Cycle" in Dean Fujioka's page couldn't link to "Cycle (DEAN FUJIOKA album)". I'm very confused.Murasakihitsuji (talk) 17:15, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Murasakihitsuji: Here's what I see, in the order you described:
- First, your page creation is very short and undersourced, not typical for an article. It has been moved to the Draftspace, as I described in my message to you in your Talk page. Please also consider looking at WP:YFA.
- Second, in regards to a link to the Japanese version, this falls under the guidelines of soft redirects, which states
Soft redirects to non-English language editions of Wikipedia should be avoided because they will generally be unhelpful to English-language readers.
Third, I will handle the Wikidata creation for you. Do you have a link to the Wikidata entry I can refer to, or has it not been created yet?Scratch this part; I have found the query and am making appropriate changes now.- In regards to the link to Cycle, when the page is ready for mainspace, refer to WP:PIPE, as this will help you link to the correct page.
- Hope I've helped you in this respect, and if you have any further questions, venues like the WP:TEAHOUSE will be happy to answer them for you. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 17:57, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
Thank you so much for your advice.
I have a question.
On Wikipedia of Japanese ver., the page "Cycle (DEAN FUJIOKAのアルバム)" has existed. So I wanna make the page "Cycle (DEAN FUJIOKA album)" on English ver., too. I need to make the page again because it was deleted?Murasakihitsuji (talk) 02:31, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Murasakihitsuji: You do not have to recreate it, as the page still exists at Draft:Cycle (Dean Fujioka album). Since the Japanese Wiki version already has sources, which is one of the requirements for notability on all Wikipedia projects, I would advise translating the content from that page onto the existing draft, including the infobox. If you need help with getting the infobox onto your draft, see H:TEMPLATE. Also look at WP:TRANSLATE#How to translate for translation instructions. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 02:36, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
I could find that page. I'll edit it in accordance with your advice. Thank you so much. Murasakihitsuji (talk) 05:44, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
Please don't undo editors when they blank warnings from their talk pages. With very few exceptions, users are allowed to remove material from their talk pages. There was nothign that the above IP removed that had to be kept on the page. See WP:OWNTALK. And please don't ask for protection on IP's' talk pages for cases like this. Yes the IP's first edit was inappropriate, but even if the IP had reached the point of having to do something (and this one was nowhere near that) the appropriate action would have been to have the blocking-admin add talk page access to the IP's block. You currently import one or more of Abelmoschus Esculentus' scripts, and I thought that you might want to import a maintained version. Links to each script are provided below.
If you have any questions, please reach out and talk to me. --DannyS712 (talk) 00:30, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
Sidiki Diabaté
You added an incorrect redirection on Sidiki Diabaté. Sidiki Diabaté (junior) is the son of Toumani Diabaté. Like his father and his uncle Mamadou Sidiki Diabaté, he is a kora player. However, he is best known as a beat maker and music producer (try searching "Sidiki Diabaté" in Youtube). Even though his complete name might be "Mamadou Sidiki Diabaté" (I am not sure about this), he goes by the name of Sidiki Diabaté, which is why the page "Sidiki Diabaté" should refer to him. Note that he share the name of his grand father Sidiki Diabaté, and also that Mamadou Sidiki Diabaté and Mamadou Diabaté are two different kora players.

- @Malparti: I originally reverted back to redirect because the version you had written did not provide any sources (which the current version now has). The policy regarding biographies of living people requires at least one source that supports at least one statement about that person in the article. Failure to do so may result in deletion per WP:STICKY. Best of luck with the article, and hope this helps for future article creations. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 04:18, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
Opinion on my draft
Hey, I've been working on my Ephixa draft for a while now and it has been denied quite a couple of times and since I've done a bit of touching up on it, I want your opinion on it to see if it could get into the mainspace now or if it needs some more work/content to get ready, plus some pointers to help me get it ready if it isn't. Micro (Talk) 06:47, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
- @MicroPowerpoint: Glad we can work together on stuff like this. I'd say the only thing that could be used here are some sources in the Discography section. In fact, I do notice a few sources used in the rest of the body that can also be used in Discography. Other than that, I'd say the only thing really proving the artist's notability at this point is the Billboard chart, which I can argue should be a part of Criteria 2 of WP:MUSICBIO. I don't know why it's not? Jalen D. Folf (talk) 17:49, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
- I re-used some of the references from the main bit into the discography, I don't think there are actually any more usable sources (for Ephixa in general that I could find) I could implement. For the Billboard chart thingy, I'm not quite sure how to properly implement it properly, it's not a normal Billboard Chart thing where it is "(song) has peaked on EDM/Electronic charts" and instead its something called Next Big Sound 25, which is about the artist, not a song/album. I'm not very sure if it does prove notability, though it probably does, and if I should implement it like any other Billboard chart thing, or if it's different. Micro (Talk) 22:35, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
- After seeing the decline, I have to agree with Robert here and ask that it be taken to Deletion Review. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 04:29, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
- Yea, maybe i should. It has been two years, and in that time the article has changed significantly. Micro (Talk) 05:29, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

Merseyrail
Hey. Why have you undone an edit I have made? I am trying to correct the edits of a previous user who totally disregarded the name of the line and you have just reverted back to something that is not correct.Babydoll9799 (talk) 23:58, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Babydoll9799: I am glad that you are trying to correct another user's mistake, however, I have reverted your edit as it was tagged as "blanking". Blanking a redirect is not the best way to fix a user's mistake. Instead, try these alternatives:
- Retarget the redirect to the appropriate location.
- If there's multiple meanings, create a disambiguation page provided it's within the guidelines of WP:DAB.
- If you can find some notability in the subject, create an article. I would read WP:THREE in this case to avoid AfD.
- Otherwise, start a discussion at WP:RFD.
- Happy editing! Jalen D. Folf (talk) 00:15, 15 March 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you. I hope another user will now resolve this. My mistake with the blanking. Babydoll9799 (talk) 00:19, 15 March 2019 (UTC)

Hi JalenFolf. Thank you for your message. We're asking students to choose from requested articles so we know the topics will have some degree of notability before they start. I know what you mean about the confusion that strikeout may cause but last semester we didn't do that and would end up with two students working on the same article and trying to submit both. It also happened that other wiki members created the same page at around the same time. We don't want them to start working on the page until they do some searches for sources so they can know there are sufficient good sources around and can establish verifiability before they create a page. Do you have some advice? Should they get enough material together to create a stub so they can remove the requested topic from the list? Any suggestions will be welcome.
PS it's a credit bearing course and we have over 1000 students enrolled this time--Fransplace 00:58, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
Delta Heavy
Hi, I've just seen your message on my talk page r.e. the Delta Heavy page. The article was written and sourced by me from scratch from 2013, and appears to have since been used on 'events.stuff.co.nz', who even credit the bio with "-Wikipedia" at the end. Please don't accuse me of violating copyright policy with my own words! Happy to clarify this further if needs be. --ItsLuke (contribs) 17:08, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
- @ItsLuke: Thanks for letting me know. I have removed the copyvio-revdel template from the article and acknowledge that the match is a backwards copy. Please disregard the warning I have left on your Talk page. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 17:19, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
