No images in discographies

[edit]

The reason I keep deleting your image additions with an edit summary of images are not permitted in discographies is just that: fair-use images are not permitted in discographies. Please read WP:IUP and WP:FU thoroughly.Kww (talk) 23:03, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, please stop adding individual singles under Cyrus' "Discography" heading. We don't need them there, all the detail is on Miley Cyrus discography. EVula // talk // // 23:15, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No images in album articles if there's a separate single article

[edit]

I went back and deleted the images from Breakout again. Please don't put them back. Actually, I'll be more forceful: if you continue to insert these images now that you know you shouldn't, you will be blocked from editing.

Sometimes, a single hasn't got its own article: all of Vanessa Hudgens's are like that, because her singles just don't seem to meet the rules for getting their own articles. When that happens, you can include the image in an infobox in the album article. If there is a separate single article, that is the only place the cover image can go.Kww (talk) 23:44, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing, such as the edit you made to Miley Cyrus. If your vandalism continues, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Kww (talk) 00:49, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as the one you made to Miley Cyrus. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. Kww (talk) 00:52, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Album covers

[edit]

I know Wikipedia's image use policy is one of the hardest things for newcomers to learn, but album covers are explicitly not allowed in discographies. Please read Wikipedia:Image use policy and Wikipedia:Non-free content and feel free to edit again in 24 hours. Spellcast (talk) 01:22, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's all fair use images, not just album covers

[edit]

The image of Miley performing isn't allowed, either. I'm going to take it out one more time. Leave it out. You can see that when I say you'll get blocked for doing something, it actually happens. Trust me on this.Kww (talk) 04:13, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I owe you a better explanation than I gave you above. Your image here isn't permitted, either, but for a different reason. If there was a cover for "Fly on the Wall", it could be placed in the article in that point, because it serves to identify the work, and there is no separate article for the single. The image you have provided is a decorative image, and fair use images aren't permitted for decorative purposes.
I know that you probably don't believe it, but I'm really not just a jerk trying to get you blocked. If you have other places where you want to put images, just ask ... I'll help you figure out if there's a legal way to do it, and, if there isn't one, I'll let you know in advance so that you don't get blocked.Kww (talk) 04:23, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Block

Notability of Eduarda

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Eduarda requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Shadowlynk (Talk) 22:24, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Eduarda has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
