Welcome

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to editing Wikipedia. I hope you have a successful time here. However, I'm afraid there is a problem with your first edits. Wikipedia does not give preference to any one national style of usage, so for example it does not give preference to "color" or "colour", and likewise it does not give preference to "August 3" or "the third of August". Sometimes there is a specific reason for preferring one form or another; for example it is natural to follow usual British practice in the article Winston Churchill and usual United States practice in New York City. Where there is no such specific reason for preferring one form or another, however, the agreed practice is to retain the version originally used in the particular article. If you think do you have a particular reason for making a change, please briefly indicate what that reason is in the "Edit summary" box below the editing area on the page, so that other editors understand why you have made the change. In fact you should always give an edit summary for every edit you make, to enable editors to know more or less what your edits are doing from the editing history, without having to examine each edit individually.
