Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such unreasonable information or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, and will result in your account being blocked.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. Again, welcome! —Kf4bdy talk contribs

Spamming

[edit]

Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia, as you did in Cheerleading. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links as long as the content abides by our policies and guidelines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. --Yamla 13:09, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding commercial or personal-website links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. --Yamla 13:10, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. --Yamla 13:16, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All of the cheerleader spam you added today has been removed. Your efforts to use Wikipedia for advertising have been a waste and any further spam may result in a permanent block against your account. Spammers aren't welcome here. --Yamla 13:22, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You said: "I am sorry for adding external links. I didn't know it was against Wikipedia's policy. [...] I would like to continue using Wikipedia because I want to publish some articles."

Absolutely, you are welcome to continue using Wikipedia. The only goal of the warnings was to have you stop adding inappropriate external links to the Wikipedia. We do encourage and look forward to your contributions. --Yamla 15:57, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-- Thanks a lot. That sounds very encouraging. Have a nice time!
