Hi Jun0Raf, thanks for your message. Which part of the article do you think is 'currently not providing an accurate reflection and are unduly positive in favour of GBGB'? I will take a look at the bits that you think are unweighted and research and edit accordingly. Dear Apricotfoot, Thank you for looking into this and your response. The original text states outright that 'a minority of activists remain opposed in principle'. This is no longer the case. The RSPCA has stated publicly that they are anti greyhound racing. https://www.rspca.org.uk/getinvolved/campaign/greyhounds. Of course, activist groups such as Caged UK actively campaign for racing's outright ban.

This means that animal protection organisations are 1) definitely not 'a minority' and 2) are opposed to racing not only 'in principle' but also in practice.

I appreciate you may be getting a lot of anger from the anti-racing community regarding the recent jail sentence of one of GBGB's trainers who allowed her dogs to starve to death. However, this is not emotive - this is a fact. Rebecca Perkins was a GBGB certified trainer whose abuse of her hounds has made the mainstream news this week. Thank you for your work in ensuring these pages are balanced and fair. The current tone and content read as though someone from GBGB wrote the description themselves, with some very important omissions. I hope the above links are useful in ensuring an accurate picture is presented.

GBGB

Hi Jun0Raf,

I have edited the page to keep neutrality. Your two suggestions are good, 'minority' and 'in principle' have been taken out and I have added the two reliable sources of BBC and RSPCA. However please note PETA is an animal rights organisation so is not valid for a page such as this. Furthermore, the BBC article states that it was the GBGB who contacted the RSPCA so the 'failing in the current self regulatory nature of GBGB welfare' is arguably the reverse. I take your point about PETA. May I ask why Blue Cross and dogs trust which are not animal rights organisations are not also included?

Regarding the failure of GBGB welfare checks, unfortunately their reported inspection came after nine dogs had already died, hence the criminal prosecution of the trainer. This would signify a failure and therefore merit inclusion of the event.

Greyhoung Racing in the United Kingdom

Hi Jun0Raf, I have just noticed you have completed another edit, please adhere to Wikipedia standards. The first part is too much for the section, which is supposed to be a short summary section on the entire industry but of more concern is expressing a personal opinion by stating - 'Adequate inspections of trainers' kennels should have revealed the dogs' living conditions.' By stating this it is a clear indication that you harbour anti racing sentiments and therefore you should not edit on the subject because you cannot express a neutral tone. I offered help and advice on how to edit but will not offer further assistance on editing. You may well start receiving warnings from other editors if you continue to express personal views.
