Proposed for deletion: Sieve of Zakiya

[edit]

The article Sieve of Zakiya has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

Please do not delete the "Proposed for deletion" template on your own initiative. As the template states, if you object to the deletion, make your case in the Talk page of the article or in the Page for discussion of articles nominated for deletion. See the page titled Help, my article got nominated for deletion!. Magidin (talk) 21:13, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You can make your case for not deleting at this page. Magidin (talk) 21:47, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NOTE: The talk page of the article is not the appropriate place to make your case. Go to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sieve of Zakiya for that. Also: remember to sign your edits in talk pages, by using ~~~~. Thank you. Magidin (talk) 03:29, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Canvassing

[edit]

It is apparent that you are not familiar with the guidelines for inclusion and behavior in Wikipedia. In particular, canvassing, the practice of soliciting people who would not normally participate in the discussion for deletion to join and vote in a particular way is frowned upon. Your attempts here constitute non-neutral canvassing. It does not seem to have prompted any participation, but you might want to read the policy page I linked to for the future. I might also point out that you misrepresented my position, since I have said absolutely nothing about what is required for you to "publish" your material, I've only argued about what is needed for it to be included in Wikipedia. Again: Wikipedia does not equal "publishing". In the future, when you want to badmouth me behind my back, try to do it accurately. Magidin (talk) 17:48, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
