Nuka

Hello, thanks for the question. :) I think Nuka is the secondary antagonist because of his hatred of Kovu, and having less screen time then Zira. Vitani on the other hand, i think she was the tertiary antagonist, but she redeemed at the end of the movie. I think people think Nuka is the secondary villain is because he wasn't reformed at the end. That's my opinion and if i,m wrong, let me know kay. ^^ Thanks. 99.69.106.235 (talk) 00:44, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for your comment on my recent proposal at University of Exeter. I'm new to Wikipedia, so will be sure to check out WikiProject Universities (and wait for other feedback) before amendment. BornSeller (talk) 09:18, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

You're welcome! And a warm welcome to the project as well. I'm pretty new too and it's got me addicted already - if you want to exchange ideas with another newbie, keep in touch. :D But it looks like you're learning fast and getting the hang of it. I also felt funny at first about bold editing - who am I to go in and edit the work of these experienced Wikipedians? Who am I to give that vandal a warning as if I'm the pedia police? But soon you get to realise that as long as you know your own limitations, and are open to being corrected, people welcome your contributions because you are needed. There's so much work to do and so relatively few of us editing every day.
By the way, I noticed WormTT dropped by to say hi. He's a fantastic source of wisdom and sense, and I don't think anything you ask could test his patience, so do take up his offer if you need some advice from an experienced editor.
Would I be right in guessing you're a student or graduate of Exeter? ~ Kimelea (talk) 13:24, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for the warm welcome Kimelea. Appreciate your comments. If you know of an "idiot guide" or any pointers for the whole business of uploading photos to use in Wikipedia, that could help me out. I'm reviewing lots of material on Wikimedia Commons - attribution and fair-use - but it all looks very legal, and is giving me a headache! I'll keep reading anyway. No, I'm not a graduate, student, academic or employee of Exeter (I'm not that smart!), but I do feel that the Uni should be as equally represented and as up to date as others. BornSeller (talk) 08:16, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) I'm going to butt in here :D Have a look at this idiot's guide to copyright - it may well help you out. I'm assuming that you're having trouble with the "what can I upload" rather than the more technical "how can I upload". The latter is fairly easy, just follow the step by step guide at WP:Upload. If you've got any questions, feel free to ask. WormTT · (talk) 08:48, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
Beaten to it! See, he's a lean mean helping machine. ~ Kimelea (talk) 13:11, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

You think your so different from me?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Justgravy (talkcontribs) 07:56, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Why do you ask?
(By the way, please sign your talk page posts with ~~~~, thanks). ~ Kimelea (talk) 14:42, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
I am confused here, why am I a discussion topic on this page? Also Justgravy's comment makes absolutely no sense, it just seems completely random. Thanks Christian1985 (talk) 15:48, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
Presumably it's a reaction to my comment on your talk page. But Justgravy is talking about me this time, not you despite the heading, so I'd like to let him talk to me personally and explain what he means, if that's OK. ~ Kimelea (talk) 16:01, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
No problem, just wanted to clarify, that answers my question, thanks. Christian1985 (talk) 16:17, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

You said "Justgravy is about as far from a 'typical leftie' as it's possible to get." Does that mean that you think that I am Right-WIng? I am close to being a Left Wing-Extremist, I believe in equality for all no matter who you are, a Human Being is a Human Being it does not matter whether you are Black, White, Asian, Christian, Muslim, Gay, Transgender etc. you are still of the species Homo Sapien and therefore should be treated as any other. I am proud to be part Cypriot in this respect as the current Government AKEL adopts many of the values in which I hold dear. Right-Wing people anger me greatly because as soon as you go that way politically, you are saying that one group of people are "above" or "below" another group of people! You said that I do not speak for liberal values, but I believe that this "defines" me as a character because I will NEVER judge anyone on the basis of something in which they cannot control i.e. Race, Religion, Sexual Orientation etc. When I was very young I remember this march as it happened a mile from my house "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-K6FQ-n6JU", although I do not support the violence against the Police I can understand the reasoning behind it (the march that is). This was shortly after the extremely high profile murder of Stephen Lawrence only a couple of miles away, and this monstrosity was largely to blame. I am thankful that our local council shut it down just a few years later, I believe this was a massive influence on what happened to Stephen Lawrence and many other young people from ethnic minority backgrounds in the local area at that time. And since, the area has slowly become a more culturally rich place, which is great as it is one of the reasons why people come to our city in the first place.

I hope through this that you can better understand me as a character, I apologised to Christian for going a bit mental before but he chose not to accept it, so therefore there is nothing more in which I can do! Justgravy (talk) 22:21, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for explaining, I'll answer your comments one at a time.
  • No, I do not think you are right-wing at all. Since you used the phrase "left-wing extremist" to describe yourself, I agree with it. I think 'extremists' of anything are very far removed from a 'typical' anything. For example, extremist Muslims are a long way from typical Muslims, and extremist feminists are a long way from typical women. (Typical is not really a word I like, but for the sake of explaining.)
  • In my opinion, left-wing extremism is as bad as right-wing extremism, and just as harmful for the peaceful, equal society we both want. I'll be happy to explain why, if you like, but I won't unless you ask me to, since you have identified yourself as an extremist.
I will just say that if we want peace and respect, we have to be peaceful and respect others, even if - especially if - we disagree with them. You said human beings should all be treated equally and I completely agree. But that also covers people who disagree with us. It's bloody hard sometimes but freedom of conscience, freedom to hold your own opinions, is everything (and a left-wing idea!)
  • Right-wing people do not necessarily believe that one group of people is morally above or below any other. Extreme right-wing politics goes there. But just as most liberals are not extremists, most conservatives are not extremists either.
  • I think it's very important not to judge people, full stop. You said on Christian's page that it's "only natural" to judge people when you don't know their opinions. Do you really think that? If we don't know their opinions, don't actually know anything about them, how can we possibly judge them? Judging people you don't know on some basic fact is stereotyping - doesn't matter if you're judging them on being black or Hindu or gay or Tory. They're all human, like you said, all individual. How about we leave the stereotyping to the racists?
  • You didn't really apologise to Christian. You said you would apologise if he answered a bunch of loaded questions about his opinions. Frankly, his opinions are none of your business, just as your opinions are none of my business, unless you offer them. If you realise you ballsed up, I think it's important to apologise straight without any ifs or buts.
But that's just me, and maybe you think I'm too extreme, I don't know ;) ~ Kimelea (talk) 02:56, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
Excellent comments there Kimelea, I agree with every word. As a Conservative/right-wing political person I agree completely, we may not agree with each other politically but we have to respect other people's opinions. Kimelea is right Justgravy you never apologised you just gave me a list of silly stereotype questions and said "answer them or else" pretty much. I was most offended when you said "I want to see how "extreme" your views are which just shows the biggest flaw in your argument. You this ridiculous view that right-wingers are all hate-filled extremists who hold the views in your "questions", we're NOT we just have differing views from you. As Kimelea rightly says there are extremists at both ends of the scale but they are separate from the vast majority of people. Kimelea talks an awful lot of sense and you would do well to listen to them Justgravy before going around making rash judgements about people in future. Christian1985 (talk) 13:03, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

The truth is, that when I was younger, I used to sit ON the political fence I used to be a Centre, but when I entered the Sixth Form of my school, I guess you can say that I fell in with the wrong crowd, in the opposite sense to now, a few of my new found friends were proper BNP racists etc. they used to give out BNP flyers and go on EDL marches and we used to go to this pub just outside London that was basically a former NF command centre. So naturally, due to their influence, my "Centre Views" drifted further and further right towards right-wing extremism. However, thankfully at the end of year 12 we had a massive barney and I didn't hang around with them anymore. And so, in Year 13 I started hanging around more Central People again, so my political views drifted back towards the centre, to probably about tory levels. Then when I started University all my flat mates were Ultra-Left WIng so again, living with them 24-7 my views then drifted in the opposite direction towards left-wing extremism, we used to go to ARA demos and we went to that RATM gig in Finsbury Park the summer after their Christmas number 1. I haven't lived with them for a while but the left-wing views have stayed with me more than the right-wing ones did, when the other group of people stopped influencing me. the truth is I am drifting back towards Centre-left but I still get these pockets of extreme left-wing when I get angry about certain things, but now it has died down. So, I apologise Christian without asking further questions, except how do I know what way politically I truly am? And how do I know that it isn't just other people influencing me? Justgravy (talk) 01:27, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

Wow Gravy, you've 'travelled' a bit haven't you? :) It's not an easy question to answer, as only you can really know your own mind. It can be tempting to sign up to somebody else's beliefs, especially if it's someone who seems to care about generally the same things as you, but you might find it helpful to avoid sticking labels on yourself and make up your mind on each issue on its own. It's normal to change your opinions over time - the issues change, our situations change, we change. OK, your political swings have been a lot wider than most people's - but there's wisdom to be found there. You have had direct experience of the edges of the political spectrum, where most never tread. You have insight into how BNP supporters think, what upsets them and why, and the same for angry militant liberals. And you've learned from the experience! If I may say, that's exactly how we grow as people. I hope you find a happy balance you're comfortable with, and continue to learn from the people around you. (People will always influence you, cos we're social animals. The more people you talk to with an open mind, the wiser you get and the more confident you get about forming your own opinions.) One of the great things I'm seeing about Wikipedia is that there are soooo many kinds of different people here, all (generally) working together, I love it. It's like we're building a huge public library in the middle of Camden. :D
Two thumbs up for your apology, I hope Christian accepts it. ~ Kimelea (talk) 04:30, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
Two thumbs up from me too, that was a very insightful comment. I accept your apology Justgravy, can we please start on a clean slate? I would be more than happy to. Christian1985 (talk) 14:03, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

Sorry guys I had to go away for a little while and I had no Internet access. I am back now though. Having read what you said, I can take that on board and yes Christian cool :D! Although, one thing that I did when I came back I sent off for my Mayoral Election Postal Vote as I will not be in London during the election but still want to vote. I was wondering what you guys thought, I know you live up north Christian and I don't know about you Kimelea, but what do you think of Boris Johnson or Ken Livingstone, as it is basically a two horse race? I don't know but the labour / tory thing seems less important on a London scale than a UK scale, as I feel it's more about what proposals each is suggesting. In fact from a perspective beyond the M25 it is probably better that Ken did get in because I read that Boris wants to take the £2000 or so for every Londoner that is invested into the rest of the country and put it back into London infrastructure! At the minute I am leaning more towards Ken for the pure reason that he is more keen in developing new transport infrastructure whereas, Boris is more keen in developing the old, but in this Borough we barely have anything to develop and one thing that Ken envisaged that Boris scrapped was The Thames Gateway Bridge which would have brought with it the DLR into the Borough because one thing this Borough needs is either a tube line or DLR or London Overground because we currently don't have any TFL services apart from the Bus Network, so all 3 lines through it are National Rail which is not as good as TFL's systems. It is also annoying because this Borough has Tory support second only to Kensington & Chelsea, which I actually cannot understand because it is a quarter of the price of K&C, and most of the Borough is nowhere near as rich as K&C! But this means that it probably doesn't matter if I voted anyone other that Boris because it would just get cancelled out by all the other voters!! But yeah your opinions would help me greatly?! Justgravy (talk) 19:05, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi Gravy and welcome back. :) I took a short wikibreak too!
I don't live in London and don't have a very high opinion of either of those two candidates. Boris Johnson amuses me sometimes, but it would be bad if I voted according to which politician can make a bigger doofus of himself. ;) But anyway, to be honest, it looks like you've given this a lot of thought and that's by far the most important thing. In this age of political apathy, voters who do their research and make an informed opinion based on the issues and policies, not on charm and advertising campaigns, are exactly what the country needs.
The issue of having your vote 'cancelled out' annoys me too, as I often find myself supporting a party or candidate that has no realistic chance of succeeding in the election. I'm still gutted that the electoral reform bill was defeated last year - I think the country missed a huge opportunity to make politics more fair, and now we're stuck with a choice between principled voting and tactical voting for the rest of ever. But so it goes. Personally, I think continuing to vote with your conscience and use your vote as a voice is the best thing we can do. Vote for whichever candidate you have most faith in to make your city a better place. ~ Kimelea (talk) 22:34, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Your opinion is welcome

Dear Mr/Ms Kimlea, You certainly deserve the dove and tea you have received. The discussion at Talk:Tea (Meal) is still ongoing. Your contributions were the most rational, and certainly the most reasonable in their attempts to find a path for all sides to reach a compromise. In my opinion, some have tried to work toward a compromise and some have not. In any case there is not consensus. If you care to give your opinion on the matter again, your contributions would certainly be welcome at least on my part. Whether you choose to participate or not, thank you for your contributions thus far. Sincerely, Njsustain (talk) 01:07, 5 April 2012 (UTC)

Just Kim is fine! :) Sorry for dropping the tea debate - I had a little trouble of my own and didn't have the time to give full attention to both. I'll try to catch up later today and weigh in if I think I can be useful again. ~ Kimelea (talk) 04:29, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
Thank you, Kim. Njsustain (talk) 07:04, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks anyway, and I hope you enjoyed Judith Martin's text. I'm glad you "get" her style of writing. No sense talking to a wall any further. Call me if that mythical "XYZ reference" is ever found. Njsustain (talk) 12:10, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
Hehe, I'm about out of steam for the whole thing too. If you get your energy back for the debate, give a shout and I'll try to muster mine as well. Can't guarantee I'll agree with you but I have confidence in your willingness to work towards compromise. :) ~ Kimelea (talk) 22:38, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Dropped a comment at the article talk page in response to your post from January. I very much agree with your views. All it would take is some effort to assess and incorporate valuable additions back into the older, preferable article structure. --87.79.133.40 (talk) 23:30, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

I decided to be WP:BOLD and revert it to a very old version. I may need someone to back me up if there are major objections, and there are almost certainly some changes since then that we want to fold back in, but I think it was the right call. --Guy Macon (talk) 00:09, 18 April 2012 (UTC)
