[edit]Congratulations on a excellent user page Kingee!
One complaint though. You seem to be missing a few things on your user page eg Red Bull.
Also, as an avid sports fan myself i was disappointed to see that on your sport teams page that the football team CD Chivas USA was not present! As a passionate supporter of this team i would like them recognise.
Apart from that a great page. Keep up the good work.

Expansion of WP:A-League
[edit]Hi Kingutd,
Just thought I'd let you know there is currently a proposal to expand WikiProject A-League to include all areas of football/soccer in Australia, including the NSL, A-League, Socceroos, state leagues and more. A more formal proposal page can be found here. Please indicate whether you support the idea or not at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject A-League, and also add your 2c about what the new project should be called. Cheers! – AlbinoMonkey (Talk) 04:16, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Gag-Factor_9.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Gag-Factor_9.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. MECU≈talk 22:46, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Fair use images in User:Kingutd/pics
[edit]Note that, per Wikipedia:Fair use#Policy criterion #9, fair use images are not allowed in any pages outside of articles. I noticed that you directly include Image:Adelaide-Away.gif, Image:Smigginholes2010.gif, Image:Adel panorama.jpg and Image:Burj dubai.jpg in your gallery. This is inappropriate. Please remove them. You may, however, include them as a link. Thank you. --Iamunknown 06:36, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Golf
[edit]Hi Kingutd
I thought that a way to further improve the golf articles on Wikipedia is for the whole project to work together towards a goal. An example of this could be a certain number of good articles in so many months, or to create the project's first ever featured article. If you are interested, come to the talk page and discuss it. And hopefully through this the project can continue to work towards several goals in the near future.

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:The world Dubai islands.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:The world Dubai islands.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:40, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Hotham Logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Hotham Logo.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Vote for Football as the Australian collaboration
[edit]Hi -- I recently nominated Wikipedia:WikiProject Football (soccer) in Australia/To-do for the Australian Collaboration of the Fortnight.
This WikiProject has been inactive for a long time and with the World Cup coming up, it would be good for football (soccer) articles to be in depth and comprehensive in Australia.

Wikipedia Geographical Coordinates project
[edit]Hi.
I got your contact details from the Wikipedia Geographical Coordinates project page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Geographical_coordinates) and hope you don't mind that I am contacting you out of the blue. I am an Internet Geographer based at the University of Oxford, and would like to start a mapping project that examines the geography of Wikipedia articles. To do this, I would like to start by looking at how many articles are tagged to each country of the world.
I see that projects like Geonames (http://www.geonames.org/maps/wikipedia.html) allow you to browse this information, but I am wondering if there is any way to obtain a list or database of geotagged articles by country so that I can map the data? If you have any hints or ideas, I would be very grateful if you could let me know. Also if you know of anyone that may be likely to have this information please pass along their contact details. My contact details are mark.graham@oii.ax.ac.uk
Thanks in advance for your help.

File permission problem with File:NSWGC 6.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:NSWGC 6.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 10:47, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
Invitation to Adelaide Wikipedia Users Group meetings
[edit]Hi, in case you're not already aware of it, a group of Adelaide Wikipedians has been meeting on a monthly basis since April, with the aim of improving the scope and quality of articles on South Australian topics. We meet at UniSA's City West campus, and our 23 July meeting will have a guest speaker from the National Trust of SA.
This coming Sunday, 6 July, we will be holding our first Edit-a-thon. This will be an opportunity for new editors to come and learn either basic or more advanced editing from very experienced wikipedians, so if you know anyone who would like to get some practice, please let them know - and beginners will be very welcome. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process.
