I recently visited the Heterandria formosa Wikipage and learned that you contributed some text indicating that the species was observed in Humble Texas. Do you know where in Humble this was? Do you have a source for this observation? My interest relates to our studies of the species. We are working on determining its Texas distribution and this record would put it rather far from where we've determined it to be east of Anahuac. Adam E. Sorry, I don't really know how to use Wikipedia and am only doing so for the purpose of communicating with you. Thanks for responding about your observation of H. formosa in Humble. We are working on a long-term project, as part of our Fishes of Texas Project (see www.fishesoftexas.org) documenting its spread in Texas. Although many of the newer records are not in our website yet, we've been documenting the species east of Humble. Based on your Wikipedia post we have since collected it in Humble as well. So it is spreading quickly. If you don't mind I'd like to add your observation of the species at the pond next to the address you provided on iNaturalist or can do so in the Fishes of Texas project website outside of iNaturalist. If you could provide an approximate date and ideally a photo that would be very helpful. Would you mind if I (or you) put it on iNaturalist so it could be better known? Please communicate with me by e-mail if you don't mind. I'm struggling to use Wikipedia for this and honestly not sure you will get this.
