Short descriptions

Thank you for adding Short descriptions to articles. However, these descriptions have been much too long – the current guidelines at WP:SDSHORT advise a limit of around 40 characters. Thank you so much for correcting me so early. I hadn't read the guidelines and assumed that 250 characters were allowed in the article description. Now onward, I will stay within the 40char boundary.

Much shorter, but ...
The Short description is displayed under the article title, so currently a search returning POPKI Sports Hall will display as
POPKI Sports Hall
POPKI Sports Hall is a multifunction sports arena in Indonesia
It would be better to remove the article title (and "is a") from the start of the Short description so that it looks like
POPKI Sports Hall
Multifunction sports arena in Indonesia
This also gives a Short description of just 39 characters — GhostInTheMachine ^{talk to me} 21:43, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
