Daniel Bongino redirect

I have once again redirected Daniel Bongino to United States Senate election in Maryland, 2012, as per the deletion discussion. I understand that you have a somewhat proprietary interest in this article (of which you were the primary author, and to which your only contributions have been directed), but Mr. Bongino does not meet our notability guidelines (see WP:POLITICIAN for the requirements for political figures, and the general notability guideline for any person. WP:POLITICIAN explicitly states: Just being an elected local official, or an unelected candidate for political office, does not guarantee notability, although such people can still be notable if they meet the primary notability criterion of "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article". In the case of candidates for political office who do not meet this guideline, the general rule is to redirect to an appropriate page covering the election or political office sought in lieu of deletion. I do not believe the Daniel Bongino page should be redirected as you have indicated. I believe that the fact that the other candidates in the race have not been touched by you or anyone else (even me) is not consistant. Ben Cardin is an incumbent senator, who is unquestionably notable. S. Rob Sobhani has just been redirected (by me) to the same location, although I will not fight to keep it as a redirect; he is close to the line for meeting our notability requirements under the general notability guideline (by virtue of his appearances in various media). Mr. Bongino does not have the equivalent notability; in the discussion in which you participated, the consensus was to redirect the article, as per WP:POLITICIAN. (Although I did not participate in the discussion, I obviously endorse the result.) As for what articles I have and have not edited, that is not really relevant to my enforcement of the results of a properly closed AFD discussion. If you disagree with the result of the discussion, you are welcome to discuss restoration of the article at Deletion Review, but be aware that you first need to discuss it with User:Mark Arsten, who was the administrator who closed the original discussion.
