Please be aware of wp:RSBLP as well as wp:RS and wp:V. Is Neroskeptic qualified to make this assessment, is it considered a blog? WP:BLPSPS?

May I recommend using {{cite web}} to format a citation? It is best to include more information about a source. Cite web will allow entry of a number of parameters including its source. I noticed that you added Bill Mollison to University of Tasmania#Notable people. If you want Mollison's entry there, you probably should make his bio brief and add his image with the others in the section. It looks rather strange and out-of-place at this moment. As opposed to the Indian guy's bio which is in the same spot, roughly the same size, that no one has any problem with? I tried to add a photo as per the others, but my account does not yet have the ability to post images, as it is still young. Perhaps someone else can do it, if they care about adding notable people from the uni with actual significant intellectual accomplishments that have changed the world in a remarkable way (the kind of people universities used to be about: geniuses, not politicians and movie stars).

I agree with your sentiments on who is notable. Personally, I'd dump most of the "musicians", politicians, nobility, and poor little rich kids. Make having any significant discoveries or development make one notable.
You should have been able to edit the article and add the image from Bill Mollison which I did. I edited the caption to keep it down to four lines. Please feel free to change; but please keep it brief. If you have ownership of an image you wish to release or know of a free image, you should be able to upload it to commons: by now. You will need to be logged in. Wikimedia is a stickler about copyright. I think they have bots that do online image searches. That existing image of Mollison probably could use a contrast and brightness tweak.

Okay, thanks. Definitely agree. I'll try the Commons thing: totally new to Wiki and the whole thing is a bit unintuitive, but I'm getting the hang of it.

Edit: I think Mary is okay, being Princess of Denmark is rather notable, whether you like nobility/royalty or not. Personally, I will get around to replacing the politicians slowly. Flanagan can stay. I would like to see the institution represented better. Wikipedia's wp:notability (people) guideline is not the way I nor you would likely write it. An anti-intellectual atmosphere. I one used some great software from a company which was ruined by his eminence Bill Gates who hired away all their good people by offering exorbitant salaries and options. When political storm clouds were brewing over Microsoft, they did this "Freedom to Innovate" ad blitz. I suspect lots of politician's war chests were topped off. Gate, BTW, is getting a divorce. I hope Melania gets half.

BTW: if you place four tildes "~~~~" at the end of your comment, they will be translated into a signature and time-stamp. The template:unsigned is for signing other's talk as I did to yours above. I had to enclose the four tildes comment with the markup wp:NOWIKI to keep it from being translated. See WP:SIGN for lots of (mostly useless) info on signatures. You might want to setup your WP:EMAIL. Good in case you loose your password or your account gets hacked. Connection to Emil Kirkegaard?

Hi Lute Currie, do you have a conflict of interest or personal connection to Emil Kirkegaard, or have you had another Wikipedia account previously? You have been creating Emil Kirkegaard's article also on the German Wikipedia [1] and Spanish Wikipedia and now you are uploading his photograph [2] (as your own work), so presumably you took that photograph in person? No, I don't. I have never owned another Wiki account either; this is my first -- I made it to make pages about historical figures etc. But you really want me to be Emil, right? I created the other pages because the reaction to his English page is quite aggravating as it is obviously politically motivated, given that pages about far less notable people are obviously fine by virtue of uninterrupted existence. Copyright problems

Sorry but it is a copyright violation. If you are going to upload photographs to WikiCommons you have to list the author and source not state they are your own works. When you upload a photograph you have to document where the photograph was originally published and what year. This is very important. Unless you can provide this evidence the photographs you uploaded will likely be deleted. You don't have to upload to WikiCommons though, you can upload to Wikipedia directly (see the upload file on the left). If you add an image for visual identification to an infobox then you should be able to use those images. You should probably wait until they are deleted on WikiCommons before attempting a re-upload.
