Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Trillionaire (Future song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Trillionaire (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Missing cite in None of Your Concern

[edit]

The article cites several short footnotes -- "Recorded Music NZ 2020", "Official Charts Company", "Billboard b", "Billboard d", "Recording Industry Association of America" -- but no such sources are listed in bibliography. Can you please add? Also, suggest installing a script to highlight such errors in the future. All you need to do is copy and paste importScript('User:Svick/HarvErrors.js'); // Backlink: [[User:Svick/HarvErrors.js]] to your common.js page. Sada Baby

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Sada Baby a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Sada Baby. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history. In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. F.E.E.L.S.

[edit]

Hi. Just letting you know I've redirected this article for failing WP:NSONGS. You claim it "qualifies for an article", except the song did not chart (peaks were inserted at Tory Lanez discography by another editor, but these were demonstrably false) and it does not have a lot of media coverage beyond mentions that it was released, and we would need more than that to keep an article on the topic. Also, if you don't want suspicions raised that you're also a sockpuppet account of a blocked user, maybe try not to restore the exact same content as a sock of User:Giubbotto non ortodosso did several weeks before you [1]. If you're not a sock of that user, why did you restore the same content? Ss112 09:58, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Binksternet: Just pinging you to let you know this happened, as you're pretty on-the-ball with who's a Giubbotto sock and who isn't. MC-123, formerly known as "Hey now, you're an editor", has been editing since 2020 and I get the feeling if they were a Giubbotto sock they would've been connected before now though, but I can't deny restoring an article Giubbotto non ortodosso made is a little suspicious. Ss112 10:05, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
MC-123 has a completely different style than the Italian sockmaster Giubbotto non ortodosso.
Regarding the song "F.E.E.L.S.", an argument could be made that it meets the minimum requirements at WP:GNG because of some media coverage, but that coverage is not extensive. A borderline case that could go either way at WP:AFD. Binksternet (talk) 17:05, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Ss112: Hi Ss112, thank you for letting me know. I want to make it clear that I'm not a sock of User:Giubbotto non ortodosso (I live in the United States, not Italy), nor connected with that sock in any way. I'm sorry if I've raised suspicions that I am. However, the reason I almost restored the content was because I believe "F.E.E.L.S" has enough media coverage to qualify for an article, even though it didn't chart. I agree with Binksternet that it could possibly meet WP:GNG, but a penny for your thoughts. MC-123 (talk) 20:55, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Binksternet: Thanks for replying. MC-123, I've looked and I don't think the media coverage is that extensive that it would (or could) ever grow beyond the size it was at before redirection. Most of the coverage is from hip hop blogs, and those really don't stand up to the standard we have for reliable source news coverage, and even then, most of that coverage boils down to "Tory Lanez released a new song with Chris Brown" and "The music video was released". Don't add the Rolling Stone chart to articles until it says "FINAL"/"OFFICIAL" in the top-left corner

[edit]

Hi. Regarding your edit to Rapstar, this is not a final position yet, as the chart clearly says "UNOFFICIAL" in the top-left corner. This discussion was had last year when the Rolling Stone charts first started: we don't add the chart to articles until it says "FINAL" or "OFFICIAL" (in the top-left corner before the chart) per WP:RSCHART. Access-dates

[edit]

Hi. I've just noticed you created Gravity (Brent Faiyaz and DJ Dahi song) several days ago, but the access-dates for the charts say what the chart dates are from February 2021. Access-dates are the dates you accessed the peaks not what date the song achieved its peak or what the chart was dated when it peaked. Same with Wasting Time (Brent Faiyaz song)—as the article was created on July 20/21, the access-dates should say one of those (depending on where you live). Ss112 07:47, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@MC-123: hope you are doing well. Would you please mind creating the article for Frozen (Lil Baby song)? The song has charted on Billboard and I notice you create hip hop music articles. Thank you.172.58.108.244 (talk) 01:08, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@MC-123: by the way, it is not possible to ping IP editors, but I checked to see if I got a reply. Also, would you mind adding the cover art to the article Move (DNCE song)? It is a previous pop music article I created.

You can find the cover art here: https://music.apple.com/us/album/move-single/1621342843. Thank you! 172.58.108.244 (talk) 03:47, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Staying Alive song

[edit]

Hey there. I know of you since you have made song articles for some of my favorite songs and I want to thank you so much for that since I get so busy these days I barely get time for any of that. Would you mind creating an article for Staying Alive (song), a song by DJ Khaled featuring Drake and Lil Baby? This is the correct place to create and also add a hatnote that says not to be confused with "Stayin' Alive", which also happens to be the song that it samples. I also wanted to remind you to make sure to add both published dates and access dates for any of your sources. Thank you so much. 172.56.7.242 (talk) 20:34, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thank you so much for reaching out. I appreciate your kind words very much. I am currently working on creating another article, but I will create an article for "Staying Alive" by DJ Khaled once I finish. MC-123 (talk) 23:00, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! It is me again. I would like to kindly request if you could create the Staying Alive song article by tomorrow since that is when it makes its major chart debut in the United States and Canada. Thank you! 2600:1700:74C6:E80:FC18:E724:369F:4086 (talk) 20:30, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Would you mind uploading the cover art for the article 88Glam2? This is the standard and regular edition artwork link: https://music.apple.com/us/album/88glam2/1441729097. Thank you. 172.58.178.13 (talk) 17:33, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@MC-123: would you please create the article for One Time (Nav and Don Toliver song) by Nav and Don Toliver featuring Future? It is a single that has charted without an article and I know you are good at making articles and praise you for updating the site. Thanks! 4.14.133.18 (talk) 19:17, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, just want to let you know that I've created the article as you requested. MC-123 (talk) 01:32, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@MC-123: hope you are doing well. That article for One Time was amazing! I do not know how to edit templates, but Don Toliver is a lead artist on that song and it lists it in his featured singles. Can you change this and move it to his own singles? Also, can you please create the article for Ain't Safe by Trippie Redd and Don Toliver? On this song, both artists are lead artist. This song has charted in the US, their home country, and seems notable to me. I really get busy with work and stuff and try to do what I can with both hip hop and pop songs. Thanks! 173.172.190.110 (talk) 00:58, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! Thank you for reminding me that Don Toliver is a lead artist on "One Time" and that "Ain't Safe" has charted. It seems that another editor has already done these edits you requested, but I will still do my best in editing. By the way, you can edit templates the same way you edit articles. MC-123 (talk) 05:21, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I actually do not know how to go to the templates. However, that other editor actually moved "One Time" to other songs, but it is supposed to be in singles (as lead artist) right before "Ain't Safe". It would be greatly appreciated if you can help and move it where it is supposed to go. Also, can you please create the article for Big Time (DJ Khaled song), a song by DJ Khaled featuring Future and Lil Baby? It was released as a single after Staying Alive and will probably get a rhythmic boost this week. Thank you! 173.172.190.110 (talk) 23:03, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! I've moved "One Time" to the singles section in the template and have created the "Big Time" article. MC-123 (talk) 20:17, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving and Black Friday. I have a request. Would you please create the article for Beautiful (DJ Khaled song), a song by DJ Khaled featuring Future and SZA? It is not a single, but it charted higher than Big Time and has coverage. Thank you! 4.14.133.18 (talk) 17:37, 25 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've created the article for "Beautiful". Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and Black Friday as well! MC-123 (talk) 22:42, 25 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Appreciate it! I also wanted to check if you could create the article for the song Pussy & Millions by Drake and 21 Savage featuring Travis Scott and then the articles for the singles Freshman List and Know Me by Nav? Thank you! Also some key points to remember while creating articles: most songs are released on Fridays, so use the date for the Friday after that in UK and Ireland peaks, and also remember both Trippie Redd and Don Toliver as both rappers and singers (the former made a whole rock album and the latter is known for his melodies.) Thank you! 173.172.190.110 (talk) 22:32, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your advice. I will keep that in mind when editing. I'm busy with work right now as well, but I'll make sure that I will fulfill your requests. Thank you! MC-123 (talk) 02:09, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have created the articles for "Pussy & Millions" and the Nav songs as you requested. MC-123 (talk) 18:40, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Very much appreciated. For the Nav songs, could you please upload the cover arts to both of them as they are singles and have them? Also, could you please create the article for the song Backstage Passes, a single by EST Gee featuring Jack Harlow? Thank you! 98.6.201.226 (talk) 00:58, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Hope you are doing well. Would you mind creating the article for Overdue (song), a song by Metro Boomin featuring Travis Scott? You created the article for the next song on the album, which it transitions into, so I thought I would ask. Thank you! 134.6.36.178 (talk) 02:20, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. It has been a while. Would you mind creating the article for Burn (Juice Wrld song)? It is a pretty popular song off its parent album. Thank you! 173.172.190.110 (talk) 22:00, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Hope you had a good Christmas I have a request. Would you please create the article for Raindrops (Insane), a song by Metro Boomin and Travis Scott? It charted decently high. Thank you! 201.202.246.86 (talk) 17:36, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for letting me know. I'm currently working on another article, but I will satisfy your request as soon as I'm done. MC-123 (talk) 18:56, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hey. Hope you are doing well. Would you mind creating the article for What to Do?, a song by JackBoys and Travis Scott featuring Don Toliver? It seems like a pretty notable topic and has charted in numerous countries. Thank you! 12.206.84.79 (talk) 13:13, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. Hope you had a good New Year. I have some requests for redirects. Please redirect: Mumble Rap 2 to Belly discography, Nav 2, Nav 2 (mixtape), and Nav2 (mixtape) to Nav discography, and Coke Boys 6, Coke Boys 6 (Money Heist Edition), and Coke Boys 6: Money Heist Edition to French Montana discography. The sources are in the discographies. Thank you so much! 98.6.201.226 (talk) 20:58, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Will do. Hope you had a good New Year as well! MC-123 (talk) 23:22, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I checked the discographies. Nav 2 and Coke Boys 6 aren't listed in them. Perhaps they will in the future, but I believe these redirects should only be created when these projects have been confirmed. MC-123 (talk) 23:27, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing. I've decided that I'll make a new section on my talk page dedicated to article requests, so feel free to send requests from there next time. Have a good one! MC-123 (talk) 23:36, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I was just hoping you would do that! Thank you! By the way, I have created the article for Coke Boys. You can add the cover art with this link: https://music.apple.com/us/album/coke-boys-6/1659760877. You can also add the cover art of the bonus version with this link: https://music.apple.com/us/album/coke-boys-6-money-heist-edition/1659768098. Have a great day! 76.182.225.6 (talk) 21:03, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've added the covers of the mixtape to the article. Have a great day as well! MC-123 (talk) 21:51, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, hope you are doing well? Would you mind creating these two articles: Solitaires by Future and Top Floor by Gunna, both featuring Travis Scott? They have had some moderate chart success and are fan-favorite tracks from the respective albums they appear on, and they also have notability. Thank you! 70.113.1.139 (talk) 23:58, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey. I'm not sure if this will be done as soon as it usually takes, but I will create these articles. Also, the next time you have a request like this for me, could you please write it under the "Article Requests" section? Thank you! MC-123 (talk) 01:21, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, you made a redirect for Mumble Rap 2, which is an article. Can you please add the cover art for it? You can get it from here: https://music.apple.com/us/album/mumble-rap-2/1682690301. Also please redirect all these for the songs to the Mumble Rap 2 article: Capone's Demise, Ambiance (song), Loyalty v. Royalty, Loyalty vs. Royalty, Heroic Villains, Just Like Me (Belly song), World Changed, American Nightmare (song), New Money, Old Devils, De La Hoya (Belly song), Cocaine Spoon, and Real Lapse. Thank you so much! 104.218.183.50 (talk) 18:45, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I know it has been a while and I hope you are doing well and having a great summer so far. Can you please do me a few favors? Can you please add this deluxe edition cover art to the album Love Sick (album) by Don Toliver? Cover art link: https://music.apple.com/us/album/love-sick-deluxe/1674872963. Also, then, since you have created the articles for almost every song on the album Heroes & Villains by Metro Boomin, can you please create articles for the remaining four songs that do not have them (tracks one, nine, thirteen, and fifteen)? Also, I see that above this message, there are those song articles in red that need to be redirected to the album article mentioned above if you will. Thank you so much! 2607:FB91:500:69E7:45F4:AB0B:6BE:79CE (talk) 01:36, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ginseng Strip 2002

[edit]

Hey, thanks for your work on Ginseng Strip 2002! What do you think about merging that article's content into Lavender EP? The latter article looks like it needs some plumping up, and I think it's easier to treat the song in the EP article itself rather than having a standalone article. Ovinus (talk) 21:52, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Ovinus! I think that "Ginseng Strip 2002" is still notable enough to have its own article, but I do think it's a good idea that some of its content be merged into Lavender EP.
By the way, I noticed in your edit that you added an article from The Ithacan as a source. I'm not sure if student newspapers are considered reliable sources for topics outside of their school, but let me know what you think. MC-123 (talk) 01:05, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect requests

[edit]

Hi. Hope you are doing well. Would you please mind redirecting all these pages to the article Demons Protected by Angels? This is the tracklist with alternative writings too. These should have been done over a month ago, but nobody did this yet.

I know it is a lot, but I am very grateful. I cannot do this, so I am asking you. I really appreciate what you do to keep this page clean and updated, as well as bringing more attention for articles for new songs that get people interested. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 67.198.29.1 (talk) 22:20, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thank you so much for your kind words. I want let you know I've just redirected these pages. MC-123 (talk) 19:55, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Article Requests

Here is a section for requests on articles to be created. My primary topic is music, especially hip hop/rap, but I may be able to help with other topics as well. Please reach out to me here if you have a request or any questions. Thanks! MC-123 (talk) 23:46, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Hope you are doing well. Would you mind creating an article for the single No Debate by Nav featuring Young Thug? Make sure to link it on both the article for the album Good Intentions (album) and Brown Boy 2 (deluxe) as it appears on both albums. Also please redirect Nav 2, Nav 2 (mixtape), Nav2 (mixtape) and Nav II to Nav discography as there is a source there now. Thank you! 70.113.1.139 (talk) 00:19, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've created the redirects to Nav 2. However, despite its charting, I'm not entirely sure if "No Debate" is notable enough to have an article of its own. There are some other songs from Brown Boy 2 with more views on their Genius than "No Debate", none of which have articles on Wikipedia (except "Turks"). But I'd be happy to hear if you have questions concerning this. MC-123 (talk) 23:49, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You can't follow a policy you didn't know existed, so no worries there. -- Ponyobons mots 23:49, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on U Was at the Club (Bottoms Up) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Autopatrolled granted

[edit]

Hi MC-123, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Courcelles (talk) 16:36, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:6ix9ine & Yailin La Más Viral - Shaka Laka.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 21:08, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there! I usually take a fairly long time to write articles as well. If there aren't too many sources for a song article, I often finish it rather quickly. But for some articles I actually need at least a few hours to write, like articles on albums or songs with lots of media coverage. Hope this helps! MC-123 (talk) 19:41, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Creating pages for album tracks

[edit]

I don't know if you've ever read WP:NSONGS, so please do: "Coverage of a song in the context of an album review does not establish notability". Album tracks need coverage outside of the album for their own independent notability. A couple of chart positions also isn't enough to sustain an article. Just because you haven't had "any issue before" doesn't mean you should continue creating articles for album tracks that have no notability outside of their parent album. I'll be nominating this article for deletion shortly. Ss112 19:05, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seconding this. If you haven't had issues before, you are having them now. Not every song from The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) needs an article as you are citing reviews solely about the album that may single out a few songs but never in significant depth. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 20:19, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for letting me know. I never thought this through before, but I will make sure to next time. MC-123 (talk) 00:05, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're still doing it. Tracks need significant coverage outside of the album to be independently notable. Losers (Post Malone song) is only your latest example. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 03:10, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that. I'll try my best to remember that before I write my next article. MC-123 (talk) 00:47, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Where Them Girls At (Megan Thee Stallion song) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Where Them Girls At (Megan Thee Stallion song) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Creating articles for album tracks

[edit]

Once again, please read WP:NSONGS. Songs that do not have coverage outside of album reviews should not have articles made on them. Charting is not a guarantee of notability per NSONGS, and nor is being released as a single. Citing an Italian website proving that a song was released to radio in one country is not proof positive that the song in question should have an article either, as there was still no substantial coverage present outside of the album for "What Don't Belong to Me". You need to stop creating articles for album tracks that only charted but have no mentions outside of album reviews. You have done it for years by creating articles for rappers' identity-less album filler tracks that are solely made to boost their streaming numbers simply because they charted, and really, enough is enough. If you dispute these latest redirections, I will take them to AfD, but "Losers" definitely is not notable at this stage and any editor will see this. Ss112 10:42, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for letting me know. MC-123 (talk) 19:22, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Sailor Song (song)

[edit]

On 7 November 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Sailor Song (song), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the lyrics of Gigi Perez's "Sailor Song" were criticized by far-right conservative Christian communities? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Gigi Perez. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Sailor Song (song)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
