Sailor Mars' article, seventh citation, Takeuchi, Naoko (September 6, 1995). "Act 36". Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Volume 12. Kodansha.
I wanted to communicate with you first before editing a piece of information I believe to be incorrect. You stated and cited the following in the Sailor Mar Wikipedia article, "Rei is able to defeat this illusion, and in the process gains her Sailor Crystal along with the memory that, long ago, she had in fact made a vow of chastity to Princess Serenity."
I have checked Act 36, Volume 12 of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, and I do not see where she states she made that vow of chastity after received her Mars Crystal and defeats the illusion. But, I know I am reading the translated Mixx version of the manga. Realizing this, I did not want to edit out that piece of information just in case there is this difference between the Japanese manga and the translated American version. When you have the time, can you please confirm this? Thank you very much. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Error023 (talk • contribs) 11:10, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Deletion of the "gunson" article
I'd like to know why the article on the musical group "gunson" was deleted. We were a legitimate group (of which I was a member and therefore source #1), signed by a legitimate record label, had legitimate lawyers and management, and shared the stage with a number of legitimate national acts. We were (and still are) present on almost all online musical "stores" including iTunes, CDbaby, Rhapsody, etc., and we've been featured on radio stations in Michigan, Florida, Georgia, New York, Massachusetts and Illinois. Although our band is no longer together, I would like for people anywhere to be able research the group. Aside from that, we had only posted about half of what we had originally wanted on this site. I appreciate the timliness of your response. Ryan.craig (talk) 19:07, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
- The article was deleted because it did not make a claim of notability per our guidelines. The band may in fact be notable, but because the article didn't say so, it was eligible for speedy deletion. If you would like to work on the article some more, I would be happy to undelete it and move it into your personal user space so you can fix it up there before putting it in the encyclopedia proper. However, you should also be aware of our rules about conflict of interest--it is generally frowned upon to write an article about yourself. You may need to ask someone unaffiliated to do it for you. Anyway, if you'd like me to put the article in your user space please let me know. --Masamage ♫ 19:13, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
- That would be great, please put it in my personal user space, and I'll make the proper adjustments. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryan.craig (talk • contribs) 14:05, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll do that right now. The article is now located at User:Ryan.craig/Gunson. As you work on it, give a read to Wikipedia:Your first article, which will help you get things right. I also strongly suggest reviewing Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#Editors who may have a conflict of interest. Technically, you really shouldn't write articles about yourself, but you can still do so if you are extremely careful and follow all the rules. Also, be aware that someone may disagree with you about whether or not the band really is notable, and may try to delete it again anyway--but if you assert notability per these guidelines then there will at least be a community-wide discussion first. Good luck! --Masamage ♫ 21:46, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Please return to WikProject Media franchises
Dear Masamage...You are invited to come back to discuss WikiProject Media franchises. Since you participated in one or more discussions of the project, possibly when it was known as WikiProject Fictional series, I hope to see you return to it. The project needs your participation. Currently there is no activity on the project's talk page about the reorganization which is discouraging. I had great expectations for this project as it touches so many topics but am becoming discouraged. I hope to see you return. Venue Management Association
Hi,
I was advised by another editor who had given me the details required to validate the article I wrote...that you have subsequently removed my article again? I am the WRITER of this article and the entry was in support of the abbreviation VMA which lists Venue Management Association and therefre the "logical" entry I assumed was to explain what the Venue Management Association meant...as its listed in Wikipedia as an accepted abbreviation entry? The removal of my entry seems at odds with the accpetance of the abbreviation?
I have inserted as was requested by the previous editor a note at the foot of the page I wrote on the history of the VMA. "Re-use of the material above is permitted under the GFDL and can be released into the public domain"
The VMA is a non profit organisation and the ONLY reference I have entered is to simply support the abbreviation.
Could you please advise what else i can do to have the entry remain in Wikipedia?

- There is no copyright problem with the article, but it appears to have been created solely to promote a product or service. Wikipedia is not a soapbox and as such, advertisement pages are liable to be deleted. Additionally, the article appears to be about an organization but does not explain how the organization is notable or important. See WP:ORG for criteria that could be met to show that it is notable. If you can show that any of these criteria is met, and provide citations from reliable sources to back it up, any administrator will restore the page. Stifle (talk) 11:10, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

D&D articles for Wikipedia 0.7
Hi there! :)
As someone who's worked on D&D and/or RPG articles before, I'm inviting you to participate in our goal to both improve articles that have been selected to be placed in the next Wikipedia DVD release, as well as nominate more to be selected for this project. Please see the WikiProject D&D talk page for more details. :) BOZ (talk) 19:27, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
You Deleted my page
Although the page I created does not indicate (yet) that I am a person of historical significance, I plan to update it to outline my accomplishments soon. Your contributions to wikipedia are notable, but those I will soon list are notable, as well. One of my goals is to create a wikipedia for my own interest that is linked to on my site. Check it out - follow this link then click on right image. Thanks in advance! Cargilcm (talk) 15:20, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Sarah Baldock
You deleted subject page (Sarah Baldock) for A7 (bio). I did not create the article (I don't think), but I did contribute (I think -- difficult to be sure as I cannot see the history now). I can understand that notability may be debatable in this case, but I am surprised that the page went through speedy deletion. I think it would merit discussion. The subject features on several CDs produced on minor labels, is the subject of press releases and news articles including a moderate-length interview and video, and I can cite at least two "independent" articles about her in reputable journals. I think that at least makes the notability issue debatable. If the article was previously missing references, I am willing to add some to the article to enable notability to be properly evaluated. Mooncow (talk) 13:11, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- I have just considerably expanded the Chichester Cathedral] article and now need the link to Sarah Baldock fixed. I can assure you that this professional musician/conductor is every bit as significant as many of them members of the hundreds of popular bands that have long articles on these pages. Please restore the article. Amandajm (talk) 01:37, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- Apologies! I have located the article. Hmmmph! It's not much of an article! Amandajm (talk) 01:42, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Message From Snarky McGee
Looking through all those messages on the Witches 5 page, I realized you're a pretty tough cookie - seriously, you surprised me how long you lasted before finally getting pissed off with me. I also realized i blew up at you when you were trying to be accomadating, and you were trying to keep it civil. I certainly wasn't helping, and I see now that you were basically holding onto the politeness factor by white knuckles when dealing with me. I'm an asshole; can't help it, but I can apologize and know when I shouldn't have taken over with my frustration at you. Going through the Wikimoon project and seeing all the articles (some that I helped out with when I was a newbie) be merged and about to be taken down a notch got me seeing red - doesn't justify my behaviour, but I am sure you can understand, when something that you work hard on is taken away so casually like that. We won't agree on policies any time soon, and i'm pretty torn up as hell with the merges you're about to do - but I can respect that you've got some pretty major integrity and good grace. Now, my jackass level was pretty high in the extremes, so if you're still rightfully offended by me, then I understand - I won't be terribly gutted since you're a random person on the web I ticked off, but if you respond then that's really cool too. You must know that I still feel the way I feel, and if there was any opportunity to re-write the rules myself or to commandeer Wikipedia, I'd be one of the first online to do it. For now though, all I can say is sorry, and hope that i haven't made you too upset, or angry enough to influence your exceptional patience. Cheers Saintvlas22 (talk) 02:35, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Protection of Megatokyo
Is it necessary to protect Megatokyo? All the recent vandalism has been from the same individual (two instances of vandalism from 74.92.105.85, and two from DMacversion1, who is almost certainly the same person), and both of those editors are being watched closely and have already gotten their final warnings (so they can be blocked immediately if they vandalize again). I just thought I should let you know, if you weren't aware of that before. —Politizer talk/contribs 01:27, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Lady Aleena is back and trying to restart WikiProject Media franchises
Dear Masamage...You were at one time helping WikiProject Media franchises figure out where it was going to go and what it would cover. About five months ago, I left suddenly and without explanation; and in my absence the WikiProject came to a complete standstill. I am now wondering if the project is sustainable and worthwhile to try to revive and continue with the work started there. If you would be interested in coming back to the table to discuss it, that would be great. We were just getting to a point where things were coming together when I had to leave to cool off from a particularly heated discussion that was upsetting me. I had hoped that the project would have moved forward without me, but it did not; but I am hoping to bring it back.
Please stop by if you are still interested. I look forward to seeing you there and seeing if we can pick up where we left off. LA If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 04:40, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

No worries
- Thanks, and no worries - I've also got requests with about half of the reference library, so we'll see when they come through. --Malkinann (talk) 22:49, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- What a surprise... I don't want to talk to her about it, she'll just be nasty about it, so can I just vent instead? I did not mean to embarrass her by asking for the reassessment, I simply felt the reassessment was wrong and I wanted a second opinion. When you do reassessments, sometimes it gets called to group reassessment, you know? You do enough reassessing, you get used to it, right? It wasn't about her doing the reassessment, it was that her reassessment was too strict. The edits I made in response to the reassessments were to fix the problems and to demonstrate that I was taking the reviews seriously. (As was the reference library request to her) Some of the demands she made were unreasonable in terms of the GA criteria (comprehensive rather than broad, anime-manga manual of style fixes being GA criteria). The group article reassessment is a reasonable part of the GA reassessment system, as a way of reviewing articles you're unsure of, or if you feel like you've had a raw deal - I wouldn't have needed to take it there 'within hours' (if she'd left it open longer, I might have seen it...) if I felt like I could talk to her by myself about the review and not be talked down to. So, yeah. Can I confess to being really cheesed off about all things anime-manga manual of style-ish? :P I suppose I should take heart in that Sailor Moon has been judged to be a Good Article by the broader community, but having her write that in her user space is hurtful. --Malkinann (talk) 07:36, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- I agree. That is very disappointing and hurtful. You made a lot of truly excellent edits, and no good-faith effort should be insulted like that. Suggestions are one thing, and we can always use more good ideas about what needs improvement, but that's just not acceptable.
- Since it's not a talk page, I feel 100% comfortable editing out what I feel is a deliberately mean-spirited smear--especially buried in the small print as it is. WP:CIV is a crucial part of the basic tenets of Wikipedia, and there's no excuse for abandoning it. --Masamage ♫ 03:15, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- In the future, please refrain from editing my user pages just because you disagree with my views. A simple note would have been far more polite than presuming anything was mean spirited and to make bad faith assumptions. If you want to complain about mean-spirited smears, go read some other main user pages. Happy to point out some that are far worse than my minor remark (which is my expressing an opinion on an article and perfectly acceptable). -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 03:32, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- Using a term like "crappy" to describe other people's hard work is absolutely unacceptable, no matter what your views are. As I asked, please review WP:CIV and see that you understand it. I do read others' user pages, and do call others out on things; it's no excuse for your petty behavior. --Masamage ♫ 05:55, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'll use whatever terms I like, thank you, and sorry but just because someone worked hard on something doesn't make it high quality. Admins and editors alike have frequently referred to others work as crappy and in much more colorful terms. I did not make any disparaging remark against Malkinann so there is no civility issue. Your reaction and presumption to "fix" my user page was inappropriate, inexcusable, and this whole thing here is what seems petty here. However, if you feel you must act as the user page police, why don't you do something about really pettiness and incivility, like blatant attack pages rather than a non-civility issue that you really are neither neutral in and it is neither your place nor right to chastise me about. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 14:28, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- All right. I'm sorry I edited it directly instead of sending you a message. I thought that would be the fastest way to solve the issue, but I was clearly wrong, and I'm sorry it bothered you so much. Otherwise, if you're really more interested in comparing yourself to worse people than either of us than you are in trying to do what you personally can to cultivate a cooperative atmosphere, I guess I'm done with this conversation. --Masamage ♫ 16:00, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for listening, Masamage. I was feeling kind of low when I saw that, and it hurt me, knowing that unlike the message in Collectonian's news, which is clearly aimed at me, Collectonian intended that 'crappy' to remain, despite it being listed as a GA by the rest of the community. Perhaps a greater participation in community GARs would have increased Collectonian's satisfaction with the outcome, but that's neither here nor there. Sorry to be a bother. --Malkinann (talk) 01:02, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Anne Allison, Patrick Drazen, and the Amazons book talk about the henshin providing a "seperation" between the girl and the soldier, and apparently the henshin represents puberty. "As a story, the key feature of Sera Mun is the transformation of five girls, each distinct in her own way... to the sailor scouts -- celestial-empowered superheroes, each aligned to separate planets" "the heroes double as humans and superpowers, and the transformation each undergoes is highly stylized though marked by a distinct costume and set of individual powers." --Malkinann (talk) 09:21, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

Possible SOS controversy on Sailor Moon pages
Hi! You weighed in a few years ago when I mentioned adding in info about the SOS on the Sailor Moon articles. A few people are trying to add in the SOS info, saying that they were responsible for the series being dubbed. I changed the article to reflect that these were only things they claimed they were responsible for & I'm kind of expecting a bit of an argument about it. Since you are knowledgeable about the SOS & their infamy, I was wondering if you'd mind checking in & backing up the info I posted about the SOS. It's all taking place on the Talk:Sailor Moon (English adaptations) page.
I also asked User:Hitsuji Kinno to weigh in as well, but since she hasn't been on in a few months I didn't know if she'd see my message or not. Tokyogirl79 (talk) 17:39, 6 October 2010 (UTC)tokyogirl79
Suspension of admin privileges due to inactivity
Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative privileges of users who have been inactive for one year, meaning administrators who have made neither any edits nor any logged actions in over one year. As a result of this discussion, your administrative privileges have been removed pending your return. If you wish to have these privileges reinstated, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. Speedy deletion nomination of Smoon
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Smoon requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Notice of change
Hello. You are receiving this message because of a recent change to the administrator policy that alters what you were told at the time of your desysopping. The effect of the change is that you will not longer be able to request restoration of the tools because of your prior inactivity. You have until December 30, 2012 to request restoration or else the policy will prevent you from doing so in the future; you would need to seek a new WP:RFA. Until December 30, you can file a request at WP:BN for review by the crats. Thank you. MBisanz talk 04:22, 3 December 2012 (UTC)

However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
