Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Michael.p.hayes and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! --Animalparty! (talk) 02:28, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Finding an article

[edit]

To find a good article to edit, check WikiProject Mass spectrometry, especially sections on articles by quality and importance: Wikipedia:WikiProject Mass spectrometry#Assessment; and articles by popularity: Wikipedia:WikiProject Mass spectrometry#Popular pages. There is also a tool that you can use to sort articles, for example Stub[1]and Start[2] class. Remember the goal is to move an article up two quality units: nothing to Start, Stub to C, or Start to B. --Kkmurray (talk) 02:49, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

[edit]

Hi, this is Chao — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cdong7 (talkcontribs) 20:14, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Topics

[edit]
  1. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry
  2. desorption atmospheric pressure photoionization
  3. Orbitrap
  4. atmospheric-pressure laser ionization
  5. isobaric label

I will give you the Start to B conversion on Orbitrap since it is so important. DAPPI would be a good one to fix also. APLI is quite popular. --Kkmurray (talk) 20:58, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Topics in Ranked Order

[edit]

Out of the three topics, here is my preferred order:

1. DAPPI 2. Orbitrap 3. APLI
