Charles Emil Henry Stengel
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Charles Emil Henry Stengel, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Charles Emil Henry Stengel. Jmlk17 03:57, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Mary Danforth Ryle, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Offenbach (talk) 03:46, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
John Ryle
[edit]Hi, Mike. I reverted your edit that asked how to create an article on another person named John Ryle. You left your question on a Template discussion (talk) page, which is not a good place for it to get attention. A better place to ask "how to" questions is Wikipedia:Help desk.
To answer your question briefly, here's what you do:
- Create your article with a title that more specifically identifies the subject, e.g. "John Ryle (silk manufacturer)"
- Then, study the page Wikipedia:Disambiguation to learn the ways to make sure readers looking for your John Ryle can find your article. In short, there are two ways: You can either insert a hatnote on the current John Ryle page that explains, e.g. This article is about the Cambridge University professor. For the silk manufacturer, see John Ryle (silk manufacturer); or, you can move (rename) the current John Ryle page to something like "John Ryle (Cambridge University professor)" and then create a disambiguation page that links to both the current article and your new one. (If you choose to create a disambiguation page, you should also modify all links to the current John Ryle article to point to the new page name. Wikipedia:Disambiguation explains how to do this.)

Proposed deletion of Cedar Lawn Cemetery
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Cedar Lawn Cemetery, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- It is an empty article, and it doesn't appear to have any sources that make it notable.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. ~SunDragon34 (talk) 05:11, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- You said it was a mistake in typing; would you like to have the Cedar Lawn Cemetery article deleted? It doesn't look like it has any content beyond the redirect to the article of a person who was buried there. If you want to delete the article, just type {{db-author}} at the top of the article. Cheers! ~SunDragon34 (talk) 05:14, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- Oh—there's already an article on Cedar Lawn Cemetery? Okay. Would you please type {{db-author}} on the Cedar Lawn Cemetery article? That way, there won't be two. Thanks! ~SunDragon34 (talk) 05:27, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
