Hey, thank you for editing Wikipedia! I saw that you deleted a journalist who was technically abducted and not killed. However, instead of making a separate article for the journalists who have been kidnapped by the Mexican drug trafficking organizations, we are including them on the list too – but only if they have a note tagged to it and with a short description mentioning that they are indeed disappeared and not officially dead. See the 'Notes' section in the article to understand what I mean.
Anyways, thanks for your contributions. Feel free to edit some more! Oh, and thanks for using the edit summary; it makes things a lot easier to communicate! ComputerJA (talk)
Well the family was happy to have it removed and now its back on there? I understand what your trying to do but its a very bad way to do the list especially. I would suggest you change the name of the list then. It was very hurtful for the family to read.
- I'm sorry to hear that. Nonetheless, he is tagged with a note that claims he is "disappeared." And having a separate article for journalists who have disappeared in the Mexican Drug War is inconvenient. I don't think its a "very bad way" to do the list. Some journalists have gone missing for several years, and NOTHING is known of their whereabouts. They are reported as "disappeared," but it's easy for some to conclude that he/she is probably dead. I'm not saying Plemmons is dead; his abduction is recent, but I'm keeping it in the article (with a note, of course) because it fits with the article's theme. There's a newly created article dedicated to Zane Plemmons. ComputerJA (talk) 07:50, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
