Hi! Please don't add yourself to Wikipedia articles, as you did at Indian art. Don't worry; if you truly are a notable artist, it's inevitable that someone else will eventually create an article about the importance of your work. Thanks! -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:57, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There doesn't appear to be a Wikipedia article about Prakash, either. Remember, the article is explaining the basics of Indian art; it isn't necessary to list all the artists in India. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 22:28, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Pranava Prakash

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Pranava Prakash requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. – PranksterTurtle (talk) 23:15, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution.

Friendly advice

[edit]

In general, it's a bad idea to write about yourself at Wikipedia. However, we'd love to have your help making our articles about Indian art stronger; we need people who understand this area of study and can read the languages of the sources about it. Are you interested in helping to write the encyclopedia? If so, you're very welcome here. If you're only interested in writing about yourself, I'm afraid you might not enjoy your time here very much. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 23:32, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion or descrimination to Indian art

[edit]

If you follow Indian art keenly you can not be unaware of Pranava's work which is breaking new ground in socio political scene. His work of "tucchard" created an instant recognition as commentry on contemporary life of India full of bollkywood and cricket. His series " Chal Hat Be Bihari " was a major taking point in delhi this winter. He has created a new genre of "Tuchcart' which uses imagery from downcast indian imagery and created a totaly new image for moder india. His eclusion will be a loss to wikipedia in term s of not providing students o Indian art full view of development of Indian current art scene.

I do not follow Indian art keenly, but I do follow Wikipedia reasonably keenly, so I know that adding yourself to Wikipedia never goes well. Whether you are a notable artist or not is something I do not know, but if you are, then it's inevitable that someone else will write about you, while you write about other notable Indian artists and so make the encyclopedia's coverage of this area better. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 00:20, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Painting pranava .jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Painting pranava .jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Saibo (Δ) 03:16, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
