Thank you

Thank you for your helpful comments with draft:Phoenix Point. I expanded on the gameplay section as you suggested, and the article is better for it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by NoWorries (talkcontribs) 07:41, 16 June 2017 (UTC)

@NoWorries: - I am glad to help! I think the article is ready to pass WP:AFC. However, to ensure that the transition is smooth, you should ensure that most of the sources you have used are reliable. For instance, I don't think onlysp.com, pcgamesn, and crowdfundinsider.com are not considered as reliable sources. You can try either replace them or remove them completely from the article. AdrianGamer (talk) 08:23, 16 June 2017 (UTC)
@AdrianGamer: - Thank you again! This is my very first Wikipedia article, and all of your feedback has been very helpful. My article is much stronger for it. I've removed or replaced those three sources. In so doing, I was able to find some more reliable content that allowed me to add additional, interesting info to the article. Again, thank you!

A barnstar for you!

The Video game Barnstar

I'm not part of the Video Game project, but wow. The massive revamp you did for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege just blew me away with how good it looks from just a day ago. From adding more reliable sources and for swapping any replaceable primary sources to including more content about the game as a whole with various pictures, statements, and extensions of sections. Keep up the outstanding work! Adog104 Talk to me 15:01, 16 June 2017 (UTC)

Reverting the edit of Arms article.

I am going to assume you hold absolute no knowledge regarding the video game in discussion. You reverted the entire edit rather than adjust it to a more suitable format. Do not think that you can just throw the "inappropriate content" tag around and revert anything you want. I have added in content in accordance to the format of the Chinese and Japanese pages. If that is non-applicable to the English Wiki, then we can also follow the format used in other fighting game pages. Let's take a look at one of the more recent fighting game releases - Injustice 2. I would like you to take a look at it. If listing the voice actors is too much, then the Arms page can readjusted to follow the same format as Injustice 2. Yet, you did not do that. Please remember that it says "It is almost never appropriate to create a standalone list of characters", but not "it is never appropriate". There are certain situations where this is allowed - especially for fighting games. It is not wrong to list characters for fighting games, but I acknowledge that it could be done better on the Arms page. What was frustrating was that you did not seek to enact any sort of change to the content. It's as if you're not interested in the topic itself. Honestly, it's preferable if you do not apply general rules without bothering to understand the context. Reverting edits are mostly done to prevent vandalism or to prevent misinformation. If you believe that the content lacked secondary sourcing, then you could add it. You could have let me know, or added it yourself. If you truly believe that you have made the appropriate decision, then I suggest you to remove character lists from all fighting video game pages. General applications of rules are not the way to go. You should have properly reassessed the article and added to it instead of removing content. Such an action can be a hindrance to other contributors. You can take it up to the admins if you feel that fighting video game pages have violated article guidelines. You can also attempt to remove content from all of those pages if you would like, but I do not think you share the community's perspective on this matter. Samhiuy (talk) 18:31, 30 June 2017 (UTC)

@Samhiuy: - I know what Arms is when I revert your edit. There is an obvious difference between Injustice 2 and Arms. Injustice 2 has established characters that may mean something to the audience. Most readers probably know who Batman is and care about him, but I don't think most care about Twintelle and Kid Cobra. Given that they know nothing about them, it is very hard to convince readers about their significance. Is players being able to play as Spring Man really that important to note? If you look at other games whose characters affect gameplay like Dota 2, Battleborn, Evolve, Rainbow Six Siege, or the upcoming Agents of Mayhem, you will find that they don't have a standalone character list in their article. That is simply because there is no point in listing characters that aren't very notable even if they have an important role in gameplay. I am not ruling out that maybe Arms become super popular in the future and all characters are all famous and notable, but right now, it is not. Just because other fighting games have a character list doesn't mean that all fighting games need a character list. Furthermore, what you have listed is more similar to a voice actor list than a helpful character list, which is a direct violation to the rules. So there is basically nothing I can do to imporve other than reverting your edits assuming good faith. AdrianGamer (talk) 05:07, 1 July 2017 (UTC)

Metro Exodus

Hello! AdrianGamer. I need your help in the metro exodus discussion, I have seen some sources saying that it is not a complete open world game. Certain levels takes place in large environments but there are linear levels too like other first-person shooters. Therefore I kindly request you to help me. Thank you in advance! ☺ Pure conSouls (talk) 13:00, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

Alright, I'll give you that because I've seen the developer say that. There's also the chance they could be saying that because they think of open world as being such games as Skyrim or GTA though, so I'd keep an eye on Exodus, just in case that's what they actually meant. However, you still need reliable sources for edits, such as the one on Code Vein. I've not seen one reliable source state that it has an open world. Same for many other edits you've been making recently, you need to provide reliable sources to back up your edits.Dohvahkiin (talk) 13:52, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

Prey

While we're on the subject of games we're on the fence about, I'd like to bring up Prey. I've seen the developers call that game open space station, but not necessarily open world. However, an editor on that article convinced me that it's open world, even though there are limited sources which state such. I'd like to have your input on this.Dohvahkiin (talk) 14:27, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

Question About An Article You Work On

Im very new to all of this editing and such and therefore am seeking someone elses opinion on all of this. You know alot about C3 and I wish to know how in depth to go in the article. For instince I could make subheadings for all of the weapons of the multiplayer or dive into the history, development, and creators of each multiplayer map. Is this a wise desicion? I could provide a summary of each data patch or describe some of the well known players from C3's community. ThanksThe Alpha Ceph (talk) 03:12, 8 July 2017 (UTC)

Also please stop fighting me over the wording of the "rip and throw' ability. I am confident that my edit was more accurate.

@The Alpha Ceph: - Hello! I feel that you are very passionate about the game (so do I) but I am very sorry to disappoint. Information about individual weapons, maps and creators are considered as something you would find in a game guide, which is not ideal for an encyclopedia. We seldom mention anything about players unless they are notable, such as some popular eSports players and YouTube influencers. Excessive details should be avoided, and everything should be supported by secondary reliable source, meaning that the content should not be from any user-generated source due to the possibility of original research. You can dive into the development of some of the official maps, but I personally don't recommend diving too deep into it. All you add must be supported by reliable sources as well. DYK for Bohemia Interactive

On 2 September 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Bohemia Interactive, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Bohemia Interactive bought a T-72 tank, stating: "A massive tanks goes out to everyone who has supported the studio and its games throughout the past 16 years"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Bohemia Interactive. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Bohemia Interactive), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Music of Watch Dogs

May we start a discussion about the deletion of the page. You did not inform me prior to removal of the page. I am the original creator. The discussion should state if the page should be merged into the main one or not. Thank you. --TudorTulok (talk) 10:33, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

@TudorTulok: - The redirect shouldn't be controversial because it is against our guideline at WP:GAMECRUFT. The 15th item states that non-notable soundtrack shouldn't be included. The article in its current state consists of only tracklists and a list of composers, which the main article can handle. I am not saying that the soundtrack of Watch Dogs is not notable, but you have the burden to show that it is notable (since you are the article creator). You need to expand the article and provide more information to show its notability. I am not saying that it must be of extreme high quality but at least it should look like these two articles (Dead Space 2 Original Videogame Score, Wolfenstein: The New Order (soundtrack). Watch Dogs: Slouching Toward GA

I have been rewriting Watch Dogs recently, via User:Cognissonance/drafts/Watch Dogs, and am approaching the stage where it can go live (I'll contact someone to do a histmove at that point). The problem is I always dread writing the post-release reception section. If you were willing to write this section (I will be asking the Guild to refine the entire article later, so it doesn't have to be perfect, although you were integral to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt), I could review a GAN, FAN, or write a Peer Review for you when needed.
