[edit]Hello, I'm 331dot. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Ram Setu (film), but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. IMDB is not an acceptable source as it is user-editable. Once the film is released, the film itself can be used as a source for its credits. Before that, you would need an independent reliable source stating who the composer is. Before that, however, the notability of the film must be established. 331dot (talk) 11:35, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Parimaltek! Your additions to 2023 Odisha train collision have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 19:08, 3 June 2023 (UTC)

[edit]It is obvious you are spamming for Hamaribaat.com. Please don't do it again. You may be blocked from editing, or the website may be blacklisted, or both, if you persist. Thanks! Usedtobecool ☎️ 07:51, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
- How is that spamming sir, when I'm giving the right link for the right news at the right time. The article noted was from the credible news organization. OR is that so that wikipedia is now available for the big news organization. Sorry bit I am sad sir. Parimaltek (talk) 08:00, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
- If your website is worth citing, others will do it. There is no shortage of India editors on Wikipedia. And yet, it's only you who's ever added that website here, often in places where there was already another citation provided. Usedtobecool ☎️ 08:08, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
- I agree the citation was provided but then I can show you many places where the citation was already provided and still another citation with the same news was accepted. Sorry but I'm just trying to understand how things work here. I mean if you have a rule then it should be the same for everyone. I guess that's why wikipedia was invented, "To be impartial towards everyone." Parimaltek (talk) 08:15, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
- The rule is, don't cite your own website. Let others cite your website. You cite other websites. If nobody else cites your website, it means your website is not supposed to be used on Wikipedia. Citation is supposed to verify the claims it is attached to. If one source does not verify everything, you use multiple. If one source does verify everything, others are redundant. You need to pick the best one of the lot and remove the rest.
- If you want to edit Wikipedia, you are welcome to, just don't add that website again. If all you care about is adding that website, you are a spammer, and we don't want you here. It's that straightforward, we need not go into Wikipedia's philosophy. Usedtobecool ☎️ 08:33, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
- But anyways thanks for removing all the links. My suspicion is confirmed. That's why small news organizations will never grow. Thanks. But just to let you know that I'm taking this matter further. Parimaltek (talk) 08:39, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
