Well, thank you. That means a great deal to me, as you may have been able to tell, since I created and spent time on the whole list. I liked most of the bands on your list too. NEW PROPHETS!

Hell yes, I'm getting the new album. Unfortunately, right now, I'm at an academic camp at Stanford so I can't get it until I get out of here which will be 2 weeks from this Friday. When I get home, I'll get it for sure. About Lyricwiki, I kind of took this into my own hands, so it's not official or anything, but just try to add and edit lyrics. Right now, its horrible. Wikipedia:WikiProject Punk music

Whats up? Hi, I'm trying to gather some more interest and support for the Wikipedia:WikiProject Punk music. Please check out the topics and lets get our WikiProject to function better. I've taken an interest in the Wikipedia:WikiProject hip hop and I consider that WikiProject to be better developed. Hopefully we can all work together to improve articles relating to punk. Also, I am trying to gather support and opinions concerning the punk house article and specifically the Theta Beta Potata article which is currently in AfD (x2) at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Theta Beta Potata (second nomination). I like to check up on it occasionally, but yeah I do the exact same thing with school, where I slack off on wikipedia. The Chili Peppers were awesome, and even though I could tell they were kinda tired (i saw their 2nd show near the place i live), they still put lots of energy into the show. the mars volta, who opened for them, were also good, but they werent gettin any love from the audience. everyone was there to see the chili peppers. i also saw the 'prophets and new found glory at another concert, although i only got to see the 'prophets do one song. i have to say, i really like the new rise against song ready to fall. - Bagel7 03:00, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

That's pretty cool about the 'prophets concert. I wish they would have been on the Warped tour, I could have had an even greater time. Was New Found Glory cool too? WikiProject Rock music invitation

Hello WikiProject Alternative music member.
WikiProject Alternative music, in my eyes, has proved to be successful "improving the encyclopaedic coverage of articles relating to alternative rock", and improving their quality as well. One specific example I have witnessed is The Smashing Pumpkins article. The page has gone from a mediocre work, to GA status, to FA nomination. Only appropriate, as the Pumpkins are undeniably one of the most influential alternative rock bands on the 1990's and beyond.
This is the stuff I wish to achieve with the somewhat recently ressurected WikiProject Rock music. I hope to also attract attention to rock music articles of all sorts, and hopefully change some to GA or FA status. I invite you to come join us, and not only be a member of alternative Wikipedians, but the rockin' ones as well.

Well done to WesleyDodds, Brandt Luke Zorn and CloudNine. We've now written more featured articles in the past month than in the year to April. Portal:Alternative music achieved featured portal status, thanks to Teemu08 and CloudNine. More editors are needed to keep the portal up to date. We collaborated on Red Hot Chili Peppers, Zen Arcade, Radiohead and New Order during the past month. Kate Bush, Butthole Surfers, "Today (song)", Californication (album) and "Tonight, Tonight" reached good article status.	New members Swidden, CattleGirl, UncleMontezuma, Dark Devil, RedHotRageSlave, Kudasai, Sjones23, Triviumchick1990 and Mr Richardson joined the alternative music ranks during April. We collaborated on Meat Puppets, In Utero, "Touch Me I'm Sick", John Frusciante, and Zeitgeist (The Smashing Pumpkins album) during the past month. During the month of July, Sky Blue Sky, R.E.M. (band), "Monkey Gone to Heaven", A.M. (album), The Cure, Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Wilco, Loose Fur, John Frusciante, A Ghost Is Born and Being There (album), a total of 11 articles, were promoted to good article status; a record month. We now have 33 GAs, out of a total of ~680 articles.

If you are personally responsible for a Featured or Good Article listed here, please the select a version to include in Wikipedia 0.7 on that page if you haven't already. Page versions must be selected by October 20. We are currently holding a roll call to help gauge how many active project members we have.
