WikiProject:Europe/Slovenia
[edit]Hi! I invite you to join Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/Slovenia. --Eleassar my talk 08:21, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Regarding Bezgovo cvrtje
[edit]What is the Slovenian source and what does it say? If it's legitimate we can recreate teh article. But no one could find sources for the article that was there or even confirm the ingredients. ChildofMidnight (talk) 18:28, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- I added article in slovenian page Bezgovo cvrtje. In english maybe Fried elder flowers is corresponding title. There is also added source (author=Felicita Kalinšek. title=Slovenska kuharica (slovenian cookbook). Cankarjeva založba. 1985.)
You are invited to join WikiProject Intertranswiki and join Wikipedia:WikiProject Intertranswiki/Slovenian. It is intended to be a joint group between Intertranswiki and WikiProject Slovenia of which you are already a part of The aim is to draw up a directory of missing articles from Slovenian wikipedia, extract what is notable or suitable, and build a team of translators to work at bridging the gaps in knowledge between other wikipedias. Even if you can't contribute much in starting content, your help is much needed to help draw up detailed lists of missing articles for Slovenia in the new project space and help other editors work through lists to build content more fully. Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:59, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Welcome! I'll begin building up the topic pages when I have a moment so we can begin building lists of missin articles. Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:44, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- You are quick :)). --Pinky sl (talk) 10:46, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for setting up the pages. I've begun adding to them like Wikipedia:WikiProject Intertranswiki/Slovenian/Culture. The best thinkg now would be to help copy categories from Slovenian wikipedia and list the missing articles by sub topic on the pages. Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:40, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- What is the criterium for putting an article on the list? --Pinky sl (talk) 16:21, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks!
[edit]thanks for your edits - should we use the data from the culturalprofiles too? If we do, it will be a nearly complete list http://www.culturalprofiles.org.uk/slovenia/Directories/Slovenia_Cultural_Profile/-4360.html - it was your hint. Best wishes Plehn (talk) 14:02, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, we should use the data from that page, but according to Terms and conditions: Ownership of all text entered or stored in the Slovenia Cultural Profile database, including any alterations, amendments and additions to the same and the copyright and all other intellectual property rights, including any database rights, are and shall be shared 50:50 between Visiting Arts and the Ministry of Culture of Slovenia.
- So, their list is almost complete and their data could be trusted .. but we cannot copy&paste text from their page to create articles for individual museum. Web pages in some cases are not updated (as far as I see). If you have time to create a list (slovenian&english name and web page), I will cross-check the data in some slovenian pages and published books.
By the way, your idea is great, even in slovenian wikipedia there is no such comprehensive list. Thats why I am helping you. When the list will be finished, I will put it also slovenian wiki. --Pinky sl (talk) 12:17, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
I just want to take the english and slovenian names from the profiles!, nothing more, sure. The task to write even small stubs about these institutions is totally different. I cannot do it, because I am not really fluent in English. I could write it in German, but until now there is not even the category "Museums in Slovenia" in the German WP. I have just prepared a copy of the English names from the profiles. By the way: the only museum I visited in Slovenia was the "Park of Military history" in Pivka. I am not really interested in tanks, but my twelve year old son is :) :( - there I take along the guide. I will take a short wiki-break for a week. Best wishes Plehn (talk) 05:05, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
I cannot send you an e-Mail - do you need a copy of the guide? Plehn (talk) 21:07, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- No, I think I can get it in my library. I count on your edits (from that guide). --Pinky sl (talk) 09:10, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
exactly - I will add all Galleries and homepages (if missing). That will be all. Plehn (talk) 09:14, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
- You have already done a great job, I will add missing data (with sl.names) after your edits. --Pinky sl (talk) 09:22, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Sorry for the delay! - I was busy with some other projects in the german WP (different name) and something else.... - I will add the missing Collections this evening, I intend to do so. Hope you had a nice Christmas and I wish you a Happy New Year Plehn (talk) 06:07, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Hello Pinkysl, I am going to write an article about the museum of /for military in Pivka (the article calls it "Parc for military....") - I visited it twice, last time some weeks ago. (Military history is not my favorite interest to be sure, but I went there with my son, and he wants to visit it.) Today they even have an submarine, one of six yugoslavian submarines as far as I understand. I will start with a German version (in the next four weeks) and I will contact the people there about the contents. Are you interested in it?? Best wishes --Plehn (talk) 15:46, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- I think you are talking about Park of military history Pivka, sl:Park vojaške zgodovine on slowenian wiki, with their own web page[1]. Sure I will help ... --Pinky sl (talk) 18:47, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- thanx, exactly, this is it. I hope I am back with a German text in some weeks. --Plehn (talk) 19:50, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Slovenian help needed
[edit]Hello Pinky sl, I'm contacting you because we need some Slovenian translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on sl.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Slovenian Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Thanks for your time, PEarley (WMF) (talk) 23:14, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry for the delay. I was on vacation. I'll see what I can do. --Pinky sl (talk) 20:30, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
- Awesome, Pinky. I hope you enjoyed your vacation. Let me know if you have any questions on how to get started over on Mediawiki. Best, PEarley (WMF) (talk) 16:22, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
WikiProject Intertranswiki
[edit]Hi. In 2009 you joined up for the wikiproject Wikipedia:WikiProject Intertranswiki. The project has since ceased activity but is currently being given a kick start due to its importance and the coordination needed to translate content from other wikipedias. If you're still active and are still interested please visit the bottom of Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Intertranswiki and add a {{tick}} by your name within the next week so the project can do a recount and update. Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:21, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
