Fair enough but you need to make that clear in an edit summary. It's not unknown for people to make exactly the type of edit you are making to game the system regarding edit counts - normally for bad actor purposes. Proposed deletion of Fiji Sea

The article Fiji Sea has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No English-language sources for this sea. The basin referred to is the South Fiji Basin, which would be an appropriate topic for an article, but moving this article to that title would not be appropriate because the text is largely not about the basin

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
