Help with IP contributions

[edit]

Could someone help me? I've made these contributions before I registered here: http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target=195.56.12.216 but how can it be associated with me now? Gynoids are one of my favourite topics, so I like to see that me added those few names for the list (of course from anime). Thanks in advance. --Rev-san 21:24, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is no longer possible to formally transfer contributions from an IP address to an account. However, you can login on the IP account, and redirect your talk page to your current page, and make mention of your previous account on your current page. Pepsidrinka 21:48, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Gadget Trial

You may not have noticed this, but the VN template is not to be used anymore since that WikiProject doesn't exist anymore. It was absorbed as a task force under WP:VG, so the template I changed it to is the proper template as it has the visual novels task force link in it.-- 20:28, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 21:04, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar

The Original Barnstar
This barnstar is awarded to everyone who - whatever their opinion - contributed to the discussion about Wikipedia and SOPA. Thank you for being a part of the discussion. Presented by the Wikimedia Foundation.

Hello, Rev-san. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, March, 2013 European snowstorms, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, ♦ Tentinator ♦ 13:23, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about March, 2013 European snowstorms

[edit]

Hello, Rev-san,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether March, 2013 European snowstorms should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/March, 2013 European snowstorms .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, ♦ Tentinator ♦ 13:25, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello - I saw that you had added {{Geographical imbalance}} to European migrant crisis. It was unclear why this tag was added. I've removed it for now, but please feel free to add it back, also posting on the article's talk page exactly what and why you believe needs improvement. Thanks! Mamyles (talk) 13:51, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with your assessment, and have added back the {{Geographical imbalance}} template to the article. The condition has improved in the past week, but more information is still needed about Southeast Europe routes. Thank you for clarifying. Mamyles (talk) 23:42, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Yes, no, black, white requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. The article Railway and tramway terminology in Europe has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Indiscriminate list of terms, which is also uncited and therefore open to OR and other problems.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Railway and tramway terminology in Europe is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Railway and tramway terminology in Europe until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 09:42, 21 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Kőbánya cellar system

[edit]

On 22 September 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Kőbánya cellar system, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the cellar system (pictured) under the Kőbánya district of Budapest, Hungary, has served as a limestone quarry, a beer cellar, an aircraft engine factory, and a bicycle race venue? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Kőbánya cellar system. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Kőbánya cellar system), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
