Judgement Day edits

The DeMarco story "The Wisper" I am quite certain is the one set in Sov Sec says that the original people they moved there were put in the abandoned Hondo blocks and the rest of the story is about why they abandoned the place. The author may have gone against what Wagner said but it brings the rebuilt city back into the Dredd canon. Also there are too many to mention but lots of stories in the years afterwards say that most cites lost more Judges then anything else and had to reduce numbers or even abandon certain protectorates or other colonys, the Moon, the reduced number of Judges on Titan lead to Grice's escape and I think Rico even was sent back to Mega City One as they really need to bolster numbers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.140.46.142 (talk) 23:06, 31 December 2016 (UTC)

The DeMarco story basically says that the Hondo's did rebuild it, but large numbers of the citizens and judges started turning up dead, even more just vanished without a trace. The Judges couldn't figure what was causing it, they started thinking demons, spirits or the place just generally haunted. Turned out it was mutant doing it, how a whole detachment of Hondo Judges missed it and one ex Judge didn't was not explained. Plus before this happened the Hondo citizens just didn't want to move to the place cause it was too far. Anyway they call the refurbished Hondo sections of Sov Sec the Hondo Cluster and did show them as Hondo looking structures and I think some may have had some Jap text left on them. I did add all this to the relevant articles when it was printed. I a1so only said that the majority of the one billion killed were Judges, not all of them. All the cites were under attack and the people who would have at the boarders or in the streets fighting would have been Judges, and if any of the other places were like MC1 and it say's at least Bangkok and Casablanca were then Judges made up the bulk of the people killed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.140.46.142 (talk) 13:36, 1 January 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for the DeMarco summary. But a majority of a billion is still over half a billion, and it just isn't plausible that there could be that many judges. Also there's no reason to think that civilians wouldn't be killed as well, which in fact is what happened in MC1, despite the judges' best efforts. Richard75 (talk) 13:44, 1 January 2017 (UTC)

Languages in Dredds world

I know that Sov was a for Soviet but the Soviet Union spoke many languages, Russian (primarily) but also Ukrainean, Latvian, Lithuanian ect. They have never said if it is Russian, it could well be a mixture of them all, most of the Soviet population had to be horded into two citys after the war. The sources that I know of only ever called the language Sov, I just originally assumed when I added that line it was Russian. They have also seemed to have reconed Mega City Ones language in the last 15 years or so and stopped calling it english and referring to it as Megspeak instead.86.187.168.202 (talk) 12:27, 11 February 2017 (UTC)

A question about were to put something about judges mental states.

Looking through some story's it appears that one of more common causes of death among judges (still dwarfed by killed in the line of duty) is suicide. Two chief's have gone to it, many secondary character's and one offs. I have some refs to back it up (Iron Ron's death in The Monsterus Mashinashuns of PJ Maybe, is described as occurring "often") and some examples of why, demotion, perceived loss of honor, just can't handle the stress of the job or life any more and incoming retirement or mandatory desk duty (A friend of Dredds went out that way just before Chaos Day). Maybe make a small paragraph on their general mental states on the judge page, focus on Meg One and line on a couple of others, they are generally the same, we are superior, we are the elite, we will do what ever we like to keep the ordinarys in line. The suicide bit would fit in that somewhere as a counter balance to master race stuff. And to good qoute from this week's prog would be that "we'll tyrannise them whenever we want", really shows how they view and like to handle the normal cits. On another point The Dark Judges could have stuff on them added about their minds from last year's four shorts and the Deadworld series, Fears a paranoid wreak, Fire believes ordering a cadet to be executed for not killing someone cruelly enough is a good recruitment method, and after killing every one Mortis was so bored he spent his time with pointless hobbys and project's such as collecting dead bodies and making wine out of them. Gives a bit of an insight into who they really are, Mortis was friendly and happy to see new people until they realised what they were drinking. 86.187.164.100 (talk) 22:31, 14 March 2017 (UTC)

Could the Jacob Sardini page be merged

He hasn't appeared in years and probably won't again and was overall not that notable. The page has repeatedly used to advertise a furniture company and the whole thing could be put in the minor characters page with no editing. Janus has had more appearances and cameo in the 40th anniversary special and she was merged. Sheridan made a note about this sometime ago but nothing was done. Could you possibly be overexerting your authority due to your own personal political biases? Additionally, I saw your response, telling me to "Grow up!".
