[edit]Hello. Your recent edit to St. Patrick Regional Secondary School appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Hello, I'm Meters. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Draft:Ethan Ogrodniczuk, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Meters (talk) 00:58, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
- My mistake. The ref does support one fact in that section. It does not support the high school claim, when the person entered UBC, or that the degree is a BA. Meters (talk) 01:13, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Draft:Ethan Ogrodniczuk, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please stop adding sources that do not support the claims. Ethan Ogrodniczuk moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Ethan Ogrodniczuk, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition, there appears to be a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 15:40, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Rouleur Velo. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Ethan Ogrodniczuk, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted.
Hi Rouleur, it is clear you do have a relationship with Ogrodniczuk so you need to make the appropriate declaration (either COI or Paid). S0091 (talk) 20:10, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Despite the messages above, the item created at Ethan Ogrodniczuk has been returned to mainspace, seemingly without any attempt to deal wth the issues raised. Moving an article to draftspace is an invitation to the creator (you) to address the problems. Therefore, it should not be returned to main without completing the review process. As it was moved to draft on a prior occasion, this has now become a version of WP:EW known as move-warring. In these circumstances, it is standard procedure to propose the item for deletion. In any event you *must* make the declarations required at WP:PAID and WP:COI, or your account could lose editing privileges. Articles subject to these conditions need to complete the review process.
