[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Rutland (city), Vermont, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ludlow, Vermont (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). I uploaded the Addison County Transit Resources logo earlier this evening. The image I uploaded was file:Actr logo.png . I feel I gave sufficient reason to use it by giving rationale for using the logo when editing. It is showing up as having criteria for speedy deletion. What caused this and how can I fix it? Or does an administrator need to look at it to verify anything?
Also, when I tested the syntax in the Sandbox, I noticed my edits worked fine. They did not work fine when I tried to edit it on the actual page of the image though.
- I don't see any file uploads by you in your contributions, and I don't see any deleted files in your editing history. Are you sure you uploaded it correctly? You actually saw it here? If it were nominated for speedy deletion there should have been a message left on this page. --kelapstick(bainuu) 11:35, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- On a side note, the rationale in your sandbox would be sufficient to preclude it from speedy deletion. --kelapstick(bainuu) 11:38, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hello Seminolefanboy. It would seem that at 04:28, July 10, 2013, Fastily (talk · contribs) deleted page Commons:File:Actr logo.png because it was apparently a copyright violation with a note that says, "If you are the copyright holder/author and/or have authorization to upload the file, please email commons:COM:OTRS" To donate photos to have a creative commons license, the original copyright holder must send an email to permissions@wikimedia.org and add {{OTRS Pending}} to the image. See WP:DONATEIMAGE for more details. The other option is to upload it locally on the English Wikipedia itself, you can do this using the File Upload Wizard. [edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Manchester (town), Vermont may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
- List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Check out the handy conversion templates
[edit]Hi Seminolefanboy, please take a look at the tweek I just did to your edit on Brattleboro, Vermont. By that I mean look at the source code. You might like to investigate the conversion templates for this kind of data. See Template:Convert. As a side note, shouldn't yards / metres be used? Is .08 miles a meaningful unit even to an American? I thought below a quarter mile distances were given in yards. I don't live in the States though so what do I know ... --Cornellier (talk) 23:11, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

2019 US Banknote Contest
[edit]US Banknote Contest | ||
---|---|---|
November-December 2019 | ||
There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here |
