Your draft article, Draft:Avid4 Adventure

[edit]

Hello, Shadowrvn728. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Avid4 Adventure".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Please do not change your nomination after the discussion has started. (I responded to your initial nomination - it makes my original !vote look silly.) I have redacted your third reason - please add it back in as a comment at the bottom of the page. StAnselm (talk) 17:57, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that! Thanks for letting me know. Shadowrvn728 ❯❯❯ Talk 18:53, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

OK, any particuar reason why you reported that user to WP:AIV when they hadn't been vandalising, and even if they had, you hadn't warned them correctly anyway? The fact that it appears you've been in disagreement with them on their talk page, and then did that looks ... pretty bad. Black Kite (talk) 02:59, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Just to be clear, there was a small red cite error in the references because the url= parameter was missing. You added the URL, but that actually made it worse and produced a big red "cite error" because it defined it twice. So Corey was mostly right to revert it, because it removed the bigger error. But vandalism? Certainly not (I've fixed it completely now, btw). Black Kite (talk) 03:09, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, so sorry about that! Thanks for letting me know. I’ll make sure to be more careful in the future. I didn’t report due to the source being removed, but because of the edit warring and previous removal of content from the election pages which I thought we had settled. I’ll make sure to discuss before reporting or escalating these types of issues from now on. Again, sorry and thanks for letting me know. Shadowrvn728 ❯❯❯ Talk 19:02, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Technical Sports Racing moved to draftspace — unsourced

[edit]

An article you recently created, Technical Sports Racing, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources to support each material statement made, and to establish notability of the subject. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:03, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know. I’ll work on adding sources, since this was just translated from the italian article with none. Ben ❯❯❯ Talk 16:55, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted

[edit]

Hi Shadowrvn728. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! –xenotalk 05:20, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi from an antisocial IP person!

[edit]

Thanks for the invite! So it seems like over 13 years now I have been forcing myself higher into a tree of forever feeling like I don't want to finally sign up and become a 'new' old user, here is one of my early edits though I was doing some one offs before over time rewriting that article. https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=HNLMS_Karel_Doorman_(R81)&oldid=206326104 I also(begin personal opinion likely affected by my circumstances) feel like credibility should be based upon the editors work finding and matching the citations not their personal WP account's reputation, I don't love that signing up is a thing in the first place but due to abuse understand the need for trusted users and protected pages, same with WP discussion and debate which I personally find most useful when it is recorded right on the article talk page and not on some obscure user talk pages. Well yea, that's like just my opinion man! But again thanks for reaching out to an IP editor! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.176.45.79 (talk)

Muybridge details.

[edit]

How specifically do you need a citation? Should I cite my own published work in which an endnote details the events at the Yellow Jacket Ranch involving Muybridg killing Larkyns? Or must I did back to original Newspaper articles from 1874/75 in which those details are mentioned? Thanks.

Sources not used well

[edit]

Hi, I noticed your recent edit on the Ryan Kavanaugh article. Two of the sources you used were profile bios which I believe would not be considered reputable sources. The third is brief Hollywood Reporter article that contains virtually none of the information you wrote. What prompted those particular edits? If you are compensated for your editing, please remember that WP:PE has important guidelines to follow, including a requirement about disclosure. Thanks, Popoki35 (talk) 10:57, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Popoki35: My apologies. I believe one of the sources I used is from the TheGrill, a site on TheWrap which is a perennial reliable source, but it appears TheGrill is not news, so thanks for letting me know about that. On the Hollywood Reporter article, I must have been looking at another article and cited the wrong one, so I'll go back and look. Thanks so much for letting me know. As for paid editing, I do have a conflict of interest in some of the articles I write, which is disclosed on my user page, but I'm against paid editing and this is not one of the articles I have a COI with. Wiki deletion about royal egyption cubit..

[edit]

Hello shadowrvn, I was just randomly going through wiki and found who deleted my wiki add-on about the Royal cubit, just discovered who deleted it, also saw that you corrected my typo error, 12 hours later the only sentence I have ever added to wiki was deleted. By an official editor with "her majesty subjects" listed on profile (2/6/2020). Just thought those facts that don't fit the status quo get quickly removed.. Anywayz, since you read it before deletion. I thought you might enjoy more strange info, the golden ratio is from a right angle triangle with 1 & 2.. 1+squreroot5 divided by 2 = 1.618034. But also pi comes from a right angle triangle with 8&9.. Squareroot 145 - 8.9 = 3.14159... The great pyramid's original height was about 146.6Meters.(145+1.618) Food for thought.. Just sat down with a calculator one day, Have read no book or youtube doco that says this, very interesting I thought.. The gods are mysterious 4sure, but... A mystery sparks an energy that is truly out of this world.. Have a good1.. Thanks - Scott 2001:8004:1BF0:AFC0:BCA3:917A:57F4:C833 (talk) 10:09, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
