Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Toimata Fakafitifonua) are considered nonsense.Sioneholof 09:10, 23 April 2007 (UTC)This is a true story I was writing but then the automatic rejection by system is also a disadvatage bcause the system was not able to judge what is actually true despite the wording used in the story. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.[reply]

A tag has been placed on Pacific Islands Forum in Niue requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. The Original Editor (talk) 05:37, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Niue Business Centre, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Niue Business Centre is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Niue Business Centre, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Speedy deletion of Malua Theological College

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Malua Theological College requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. βcommand 02:51, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Sioneholof! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Enetama Lipitoa - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Bill Vakaafi Motufoou - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

A tag has been placed on InvestNiue, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — Timneu22 · talk 14:26, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and Happy New Year!

[edit]

Hi, I'm Claudi Balaguer (User Capsot from the Catalan Viquipèdia and Occitan Wikiccionari), you gave us your support a few months ago. First of all Happy New Year, I wish you and your family all the best for 2011 and that the minorized and endangered languages will be able to survive and grow as long as possible. Since you show a keen interest in the defense and promotion of your language I wanted to tell you that the Catalan Viquipèdia will be celebrating its 10th birthday soon (http://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viquip%C3%A8dia:10_anys_de_la_Viquip%C3%A8dia) and we are planning to have some sessions directed towards getting some wikipedias out of the incubator and we would really appreciate at least your advice, at best your participation: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Teamwork_of_projects_in_languages_with_singular_status. If you have got some spare time let us know about your ideas or remarks, they will be welcome and highly appreciated. Our Association intends to have a Catalan chapter created but it hasn't been accepted until now because Catalan has no state. So if you think our cause is just and that minorized or stateless languages deserve to have a Chapter of their own, you can stick this template on your userpage Wikimedia CAT and/or sign the Members and Supporters list accessible via the link in the template. Again, my best wishes for 2011 and I hope your wikipedia will work soon (I've just signed there a few minutes ago!). Take care and let's hope all the world languages will live long and that yours will grow soon! Claudi/Capsot (talk) 12:09, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Toimata Fakafitifonua requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. AndrewvdBK you talkin' to me? 19:27, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Uluvehi

[edit]

Hi Sioneholof,

I am a Belgian Niue editor at the Dutch Wikipedia. Writing an article about Mutalau, I ask myself whether Uluvehi is a village, a hamlet, simply a wharf, ... Could you maybe clarify your article a little bit?

Greetings, Gertjan R 15:44, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good I am answering this while in Brussels this week. Uluvehi is a sea area in our coast of Mutalau.

Sioneholof (talk) 01:01, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your answer, and enjoy Brussels! I live in Ghent, a very nice city too, and within easy reach from Brussels by train. Greetings, Gertjan R 16:51, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Taumuatau has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Almost no content for twenty days.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ThePCKid (talk) 17:48, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article European Union Economic Partnership Agreement with the Pacific ACP Countries has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Per WP:NOTNEWS. The topic of this is much too narrow and a redirect to any of the three related articles in the title would be an implausible redirect.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The article Terry Magaoa Chapman has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.

Thanks for clarifying that the subject is deceased. The BLP policy does still apply to recently deceased people, and a source for the article is still necessary.-gadfium 22:19, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Terry Magaoa Chapman, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Victoria University and Niuean (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
