Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

[edit]Hello, I'm Knitsey. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Good Thing (Fine Young Cannibals song), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Knitsey (talk) 18:27, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Good Thing (Fine Young Cannibals song), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Knitsey (talk) 18:34, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
?
[edit]really bro why you gotta do that? Sirsocceralot (talk) 18:48, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi there, thanks for replying. I've reverted your edits as genres generally need sourcing with a reliable reference. If you can find a ref for New Wave for the song then feel free to add it.
- I did check all the references for the genre section and they don't mention new wave. Thank you!
- (And it's sis, not bro 😉) Knitsey (talk) 18:53, 3 October 2024 (UTC)It legit sounds like new wave

[edit]As stated above, you need to add sources if adding/changing a genre. If you're adding a genre to the infobox that is not mentioned anywhere else in the article's text, your actions look particularly nonconstructive, and will probably be reverted. Please save yourself and others the time, by simply doing the work up front. Also, please use Preview to make sure your actions leave the page readable. Thank you, Jessicapierce (talk) 16:11, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
