Need some help!
[edit]Thanks for deleting the file "Te wo tatake music video.jpg", I wanted help to do it because I made a mistake but now I want to upload it again in the right way. How can I do this? Do I have to ask you or something? Thankyou. Gleyson (talk) 13:52, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
Haven't heard from OTRS re: JudyPrescott.jpg
[edit]Hi Skier Dude,
I sent an email to OTRS (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org) on 11/8/11 as you suggested with the Reuse Permissions from Judy Prescott for her photo (JudyPrescott.jpg). I haven't heard anything from them yet. Do you have any insight into their process? Is there a way I can find out if this is in their queue? I'd like to get the photo reinstated.
thank you, Nancy Norland Njnorland (talk) 06:58, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
- I've just checked, and you are in the queue. It's a long one, and you're about #51. I am away from home at the moment otherwise I would deal with it. I would say, looking at your email, that we would need permission directly from Judy Prescott. If you could ask her to contact us directly, or ask her if it's OK to give us her email so we can contact her, that would be helpful. This is just a passing comment, and if you want to talk more about this with me, please get on touch on my talkpage or by email, as I'm not wathcing this page. Hey Skier Dude. There was a lenghty discourse on my COI back in Septmeber, lead by Moonriddengirl. Have you read the article's talk page? As a result I removed a lot of material, a request was put out for comment, and the tag was lifted.
If you are sure you want to re-tag could I add what I deleted? - or would you consider removing the tag? --Paul Stephen Farmer (talk) 09:57, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
- Since the article has been edited again by you, those reading it should be warned that it's COI. Skier Dude (talk) 00:18, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
Hi!
You deleted the file <Lucy Angel.jpg>. This file was uploaded with the permission of the copyright owner, G Force Music Group, and a letter was emailed by G Force giving a free licence to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org on November 11 at 6:17 pm US EST time. What can I do to get the photo replaced?
Thanks! Eliptis (talk) 17:37, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
Hello Skier Dude, This is the first article i have written and it seems I am in need of some help. I uploaded images and I did add info but it was not enough. The photos I am using on article are being used by courtesy of the photographer Lindsay Donald. I would really like to be able to share images with the article. Here is my article User:PORTRAIT_OF_A_LEGEND There is a lot to setting up an article so I would appreciate any help that may come my way.

The Staffordshire Regiment Museum
[edit]Hello SkierDude, I would like to request that you undelete the photos (The Staffordshire Regiment Museum / The Coltman Trench) that you have deleted from the article 'The Staffordshire Regiment Museum'.
That photo is the property of The Staffordshire Regiment Museum and I am uploading it on their behalf. Perhaps I didn't fill out the photo documentation correctly. If you can reinstate the photos, based on this information, please could you?
Thanks,

Hi. You recently deleted Kolka, which was previously a disambig, but which a vandal had turned into a redirect to a non-existent page. I have restored the disambig, but wanted to point this out to you for future reference. Cheers! bd2412 T 19:57, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

- Given the nature of the deletion, you will need the copyright owner (not you) to go through the WP:OTRS process to confirm the release of that copyright. Without that confirmation, the image can not be restored. Skier Dude (talk) 02:08, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
re: logo image
[edit]Hi, I created this article which needs to have the image re-associated as the logo. It seems it has been deleted. - The image can be restored as soon as you provide a web-link/source for it. The license will be {{non-free logo}}, so we just need that source to be able to restore. Just drop me a note here and I'll take care of that for you. Skier Dude (talk) 02:17, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

Want to Restore Betsy Rutherford Photo
[edit]Hi Skier Dude,
I see that the Betsy Rutherford photo has been deleted. I had forwarded a permission email from Betsy's daughter Heather Coffey, and you said that sometimes it takes a while to get it approved. Apparently the photo was deleted in the meantime. Anything you can do to help restore it?

- It's been restored, but I'm not showing any links... you'll need to restore it to wherever it was placed. Skier Dude (talk) 01:41, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
- I had already restored the link, but in the meantime another editor has replaced the image with a higher res version and the image has been deleted again. I am cool with that, my only concern was the image had disappeared from the article. SpinningSpark 18:48, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

- If it's File:Life-final.jpg, it needs source and probably confirmation of (c) release through the WP:OTRS system to prove the (c) status. Skier Dude (talk) 18:44, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Ahoy, there. Thank you for adding that template to the article Buddy's Circus. We wonder if perhaps you might consider adding the same to the articles for any of the other Buddy cartoons, if you have that sort of clearance with the film project. Dragon Court
[edit]Hello, I wasn't sure what to do so I filled out a Deletion Review here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2011_December_4
You can see on my user talk page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Divine_Auror
that you were the admin who nominated the article "Dragon Court" to be deleted and used as a redirect for "History of China" instead. As can be seen on the article discussion page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Dragon_Court_%282nd_nomination%29
The article was eventually deleted and made a redirect by admin Black Kite. I wanted to contact him directly but he is on a "Wikibreak". You were the only other admin involved with this article that I know of, so I hope we can work something out.
I completely understand why "Dragon Court" should be used as a redirect for History of China. I have worked to create a more appropriate place for the game article that I worked so hard on, and I would greatly appreciate it if you would send me the history of that page so that I could restore the information regarding the "Dragon Court" online game onto another site: http://dragoncourt.wikispaces.com/

- Feel free to mark it with either {{db-nn}} (will nominate it for speedy deletion) {{subst:prod|non-notable person, only one reference}} (proposes deletion, gives a grace period for improveent) or go through the process at AFD. Caffenol page deletion
[edit]I had started a page for Caffenol which you tagged for speedy deletion. As noted on the page, it was a work in progress, and I had requested additional contributions. Deletion was not what I had in mind. Caffenol is a type of alternative photographic chemistry using caffeine, sodium carbonate and vitamin-c as a film and print developer. There are a number of sites and forums dedicated to caffenol. ( caffenol.blogspot.com/ www.caffenol.org/ www.digitaltruth.com/data/caffenol.php http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2011/07/skill-builder-caffenol-homebrew-film-developer.html http://photo.net/black-and-white-photo-film-processing-forum/008Ev7 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZSKrfen6DU etc...) As such, this is a subject of interest to a number of people and deserves to have a dedicated wiki page explaining it. respectfully DrWhatIKnow — Preceding unsigned comment added by DrWhatIKnow (talk • contribs) 01:15, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
Wedding Website Collage
[edit]Hi there, my image was deleted as a result of a lack of a license tag for the image. I will be re-posting the image with a "PD-textlogo" Tag. Based off of circumstance #2 of copy-right free logos, "The second case is a logo that is simply a sequence of letters or written words: Characters from a typeface are uncopyrightable in the U.S., so logos that consist purely of characters from a typeface are also uncopyrightable.". Thank you for bringing my lack of tag to my attention. Happy Holiday User:Crmatthews89 —Preceding undated comment added 01:40, 19 December 2011 (UTC).
File:KirksvilleCityHeader.jpg
[edit]Hi Skier...
Thanks for the heads up on the orphaned status of the file above. I've reverted the improper removal of it from the Kirksville, Missouri wiki by another editor (not vandalism, just a clueless meddler) so I'd appreciate it if you can remove the "speedy deletion" action on the file. Much thanks and have a great wiki kinda day! Sector001 (talk) 07:11, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
Re: Orphaned non-free image File:Syriatel logo.png
[edit]The page which the image is used was changed by an IP breaking the formatting, which is why the image appeared to be orphaned. I reverted the changes (mostly promotional), and now it should be okay. Thanks. Yazan (talk) 07:13, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
Hello, Skier Dude
I see that you marked File:The KMPlayer screenshot.png with {{non-free reduce}}. However, I believe this image's resolution is not unnecessarily high. You see, most of this image (exactly 80.59% of it) is composed of the free frame shot of Elephants Dream. The rest, which is no bigger than 746×91 (0.067 megapixels) is non-free, but it is even smaller than a normal 300×300 pixels image (0.090 megapixels) which we usually deem "low resolution" for a screenshot.
So, given the actual amount of copyright-protected contents, I do not think this image needs to be downsized.

speedy deletion question
[edit]Hi Skier Dude, Thanks for your message on my talk page. I'm still very new to Wikipedia and hence confused, exponentially as the days go by! I understand that an image file will be tagged for "speedy deletion" if not used in an article -- I used it in an article submitted for review (turns out the article is a "draft for review," due to my using a wrong something-or-other somewhere). It was promptly deleted from the draft by a bot for because of WP: NFCC#9. So now I'm waiting for the article to be reviewed so I can put the image back in. If it's not reviewed within 7 days, and the image is automatically deleted...do I simply re-upload it? I sense it's more complicated than that. Thanks much, Pastrychick (talk) 15:09, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
