Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Michael Hiesinger. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Guy (help!) 11:28, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Question to conflict of interest

[edit]

Hello Guy! I hope this is right place for my answer. It's the first time for me on a Talk Page, and even after reading the guidlines I'm not sure if I am supposed to answer here or in the Artikel "Social Enterprise". My question is: Why do I have a conflict of interest in the Austria Section of "Social Enterprise"? Most of the information about Social Enterprise in Austria is comming from an official and neutral EU-country report about Austria and in my opinion it is very important to share with the community. There was no information about the Austria Social Enterprise eco-system before my passage. Social Enterprises in Austria are just developing and addresse social problems that are relevant to the entire community. In my opinion, it is important that people can read about it. Also the examples I wrote about (Impact Hub, Social Impact Award and the named Social Enterprises) are pioneers in the field and important to inspire young entrepreneurs. Social Enterprise can be an answer to difficult questions raised by today's capitalism, that influences all people around the world. The Austrian sector is, like in other European countrys, growing and becoming more important. Greetings Michael Hiesinger (talk) 08:33, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
