Treeapp
[edit]Treeapp is a mobile app for tree planting, aiming to allow its users to facilitate tree planting 1, 2 in order to reduce their carbon footprint 3, 4. It does this by partnering with eco-conscious brands who advertise their products and services on the app 5, which funds the tree planting projects for the user 6, 7. Treeapp also works with brands by helping them integrate tree planting directly into their offering and offsetting their carbon footprint 8, 9. For example, companies such as l’Occitane, DPD, and Big Mama 10 have partnered with Treeapp.
The app was launched on Earth Day in 2020 by three London Business School alumni 11, Jules Buker, Godefroy Harito and Leo Ng, granting them the Forbes 30 under 30 title 12, 13. The app is based in London, available on the App Store and Google Play in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Treeapp has 100,0000 users and over 300 brand partners, and claims to have planted close to 2 million trees as of September 2022.
Treeapp was B-Corp certified in 2021, earning a score of 101.1 14.
Users & businesses can currently plant trees in 13 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, North & South America 15.
