Hello, it`s me again, I tried adding this article using Wikipedia Guidelines for music https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D.V_Alias_Khryst , can you please review it and tell me if all is good with it? I worked very hard and took in consideration all the wikipedia guidelines and admins suggestions, your help is needed and appreciation. Thank you so so much and sorry if this is bothering you in any way. Iuliana Constantin (talk) 12:49, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

Need your help
@SshibumXZ thank you for replying,, I am not using more accounts, I am working with a friend, I noticed there is a big lack of articles with underground hip-hop music and was using the Wikipedia Guidelines for music to help draft two articles one for DV Alias Khryst and one for Kyo Itachi, my friend was helping me as he has more experience with IT and I have more knowledge of Hip-hop. I don`t know if I did anything wrong, maybe for Kyo Itachi I understand as he is probably not that big for Wikipedia, its ok, but for DV alias Khryst I have referenced it from IMDB, DEF JAM and many huge music blogs, and official links, I don`t think that page should be deleted or me blocked as if you check the IPS or location of my account and the other one are not the same. I hope you can help me and I m not doing anything wrong but if I do please guide me. thank you so much for taking the time Iuliana Constantin (talk) 06:57, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
- Iuliana Constantin, hi! WIkipedia's notability guidelines for music (WP:NMUSIC), specifically the one for musicians (WP:NMUSICIAN) are pretty clear as to what a notable musician is in Wikipedia's eyes, so, probably the first order of business for you would be to get well-versed with them.
- Also, IMDB is not considered a reliable source, as, it is mostly user-moderated; vide: WP:CITINGIMDB. You may also want to check WP:RSP, a handy agglomeration of various sources used on Wikipedia and how they stack up on the notability spectrum, it is a little too US-centric for my taste, but, it may come in handy for you. As far as some of the other links go, I am afraid I can't make an authoritative statement on them, as, I don't usually edit music-related when I do content creation. Notwithstanding that, I am fairly certain blogs—music-related or otherwise—are not reliable sources.
- By the by, as far as the sockpuppet thing goes, don't worry, I believe you, further, my account is not vested with the CheckUser right, so, I can't check your IP addresses. Deleting the English page "Webmasters Europe"
But it exists in German, does Wikipedia have different rules for different languages?
Why do you think it does not "credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject"?
Are standardized tests for web designers and developers unimportant?! https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webmasters_Europe — Preceding unsigned comment added by Atheerhuwaish (talk • contribs) 16:13, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Atheerhuwaish, see the answer I left you on the same question on Bbb23's talk page. Cabayi (talk) 18:40, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
- Atheerhuwaish, my reply would have been much akin to what Cabayi (thanks for that, by the way!), your content needs to be reliably sourced and has to be compliant to Wikipedia's notability guidelines for organisations. All the best and happy editing! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 08:58, 27 October 2018 (UTC)

Did you know?
Since the last newsletter, the Editing Team has wrapped up most of their work on the 2017 wikitext editor and the visual diff tool. The team has begun investigating the needs of editors who use mobile devices. Their work board is available in Phabricator. Their current priorities are fixing bugs and improving mobile editing.
Recent changes
- The Editing team has published an initial report about mobile editing.
- The Editing team has begun a design study of visual editing on the mobile website. New editors have trouble doing basic tasks on a smartphone, such as adding links to Wikipedia articles. You can read the report.
- The Reading team is working on a separate mobile-based contributions project.
- The 2006 wikitext editor is no longer supported. If you used that toolbar, then you will no longer see any toolbar. You may choose another editing tool in your editing preferences, local gadgets, or beta features.
- The Editing team described the history and status of VisualEditor in this recorded public presentation (starting at 29 minutes, 30 seconds).
- The Language team released a new version of Content Translation (CX2) last month, on International Translation Day. It integrates the visual editor to support templates, tables, and images. It also produces better wikitext when the translated article is published. [1]
Let's work together
- The Editing team wants to improve visual editing on the mobile website. Please read their ideas and tell the team what you think would help editors who use the mobile site.
- The Community Wishlist Survey begins next week.
- If you aren't reading this in your preferred language, then please help us with translations! Subscribe to the Translators mailing list or contact us directly. We will notify you when the next issue is ready for translation. Thank you!

Thanks for your comments and I saw the comment about weasel words. Can you point out the weasel words in the article because I cannot spot them.Dmarbury94 (talk) 17:06, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
- Dmarbury94, hi! First, I am sorry for the late reply! Second, I see that the draft has been deleted on your request, which is sad, it was a good-ish draft that was mainspace worthy. Third, from what I call, there were weasel words such as "thriller" or the like, which should really be backed up by reliable sources. Lastly, I hope that you restart your work on the draft and feel free to ask me for any help, if you need it, that is. Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 17:45, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Review of article, Mustafa Halim Özyazici and the question of infoboxes
Thank-you for reviewing the article Mustafa Halim Özyazici. You mentioned that an infobox may need to be added. I think so too. However, an editor who appears to have assumed a dominant role on the Wikipedia Visual Arts project has previously warned me off providing infoboxes on the basis that they tend to attract errors. He claims that there ia a group of editors involved in visual arts work that have many strong objections to the use of infoboxes. In my experience, a lot of pressure is brought to bear on recalcitrant editors who continue to add infoboxes to articles. I do not wish to get into an edit war over this issue, so I have made a conscious decision to discontinue adding infoboxes to any article. BronHiggs (talk) 22:48, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
- BronHiggs, I don't know why people told you that, but, as the article, Mustafa Halim Özyazici, comes under the ambit of WikiProject Visual arts, I would not advise you to add an infobox to the article, especially if it goes against the aforementioned WikiProject's guidelines on articles under it. Also, sorry for the kind of late reply! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 18:00, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
- User talk:SshibumXZ Thanks for your reply. WikiProject Visual arts, in its written documentation, appears to support and enourage infoboxes. It even has an open invitatin to editors for assistance adding infoboxes to articles. However, an editor who is very active in the Project uses his position to delete infoboxes and warn off any editors who add them. It is all very confusing. BronHiggs (talk) 21:15, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
- BronHiggs, yeah, that sounds extremely weird; have you tried reasoning with the editor who erases all instances of infoboxes in an article? This—if true—sounds abuse of his or her position as an influential edit on visual arts-related articles to me.
- If you do try to reason with him or her, do not forget to bring up the fact that WikiProject Visual arts actually encourages and does not condemn infoboxes. All the best! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 21:23, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Slek, removed tag
Hello,
I wanted to let you know that I have added sources to the Slek article and removed the tag. If you think it needs more, please let me know. Jacqke (talk) 14:00, 2 November 2018 (UTC)
- Jacqke, hi! Yeah, no problem; the removal of the tag by you in Slek is totally justified, no need to worry. Also, thanks for informing me that you removed the tag! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 14:06, 2 November 2018 (UTC)
Responding to edit requests
<s>Recently, you removed an edit request (here) that I had just declined, saying that " I would recommend to just remove them henceforth" referring to empty edit requests. Thank you for informing me of the recommended practice. If you have any more tips to share, they are welcome. --DannyS712 (talk) 03:24, 5 November 2018 (UTC)</s>
Update: I just went to remove an empty request to edit Bee Movie (added here) with the editProtectedHelper, and received a pop-up saying
Are you sure you want to completely remove this edit request from the page? In general, this should not be done to good-faith requests, even if they are blank, unless they are duplicates of other requests by the same user, etc.
(emphasis added).
Can you please explain? --DannyS712 (talk) 03:30, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- DannyS712, hi! First, thanks for thanking me: I didn't receive your striking of your comment in the best of tastes, though. Second, Talk:India is a special case, see its talk page history; some (or many) troll(s) have been submitting blank edit requests there for some time now. Hope this clears it all up! Hi SshibumXZ, How is that it is hung parliament when NDA has 272+ seats?
Shiv093 (talk) 19:21, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- Shiv093, did I do that? Can you link me to my supposed revert, please? If I really reverted an edit which made it say that the NDA having more than 272 seats would result in a hung parliament, you have my full and undivided permission to revert that edit. Happy editing and good/great life! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 19:27, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- Shiv093, okay, so, Adamstraw99 did that job for the both of us; thanks to him for that! I have also copy edited the article a bit, don't be afraid in asking for further assistance! Happy editing and life! G'day! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 19:41, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
Indian general election
hey, why you are unable to understand that in Indian parliament 281, 286 and 288 is not a hung parliament? because majority is 272... i corrected that article with effort and you messed it up with your desired numbers and pro-opposition bias within minutes.... I Am no govt. supporter but we are supposed to enter what is actual result of these opinion polls, and not what we want to see as result ...do you please understand?? --Adamstraw99 (talk) 20:04, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- Adamstraw99, what's up with the random capitalisation of words, mate? Also, no I am not pro-government (or pro-opposition for that matter; I would like to think that I almost single-handedly instituted the addition of 'Prayagraj' in the infobox of Allahabad; vide: the discussion at Talk:Allahabad). I didn't see your stuff; see the thread above and you'll see I was only concerned about the most-recent opinion poll; I didn't see that there were other problems, and for that I am sorry! But, please, oh please, do not respond with an ad hominem; I expect an apology from you.
- P. S. — My edit was primarily concerned with copy editing, with the hung parliament-thingy being a secondary factor. Happy editing! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 20:09, 5 November 2018 (UTC); edited 20:10, 5 November 2018 (UTC).
- Hi, I see your intention for these edits was good but i think the "outlook" section is not secondary or trivial or something. In fact most readers will read that section first... Please be careful about making sure that your good intent editing or mass revert is not disrupting other important things in the article.... And yes, my apologies for my inappropriate wordings used in edit summary and talk page.... Cheers... Adamstraw99 (talk) 20:43, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- Adamstraw99, yes, I know and you do make a very good point. But, let me clarify by saying that there my intent with my first edit on Indian general election, 2019 was to copy edit the article a bit and to rectify an error I may have inadvertently made (raised by Shiv093 above, though, I was not able to find the concerned revision). Also, thanks for your apology, I would also like to apologise for anything that I may have done to cause stress to you. I hope everything is okay between the two of us now. Happy life and editing!

NPR Newsletter No.15 16 November 2018
Chart of the New Pages Patrol backlog for the past 6 months. |
Hello SshibumXZ,
- Community Wishlist Survey – NPP needs you – Vote NOW
- Community Wishlist Voting takes place 16 to 30 November for the Page Curation and New Pages Feed improvements, and other software requests. The NPP community is hoping for a good turnout in support of the requests to Santa for the tools we need. This is very important as we have been asking the Foundation for these upgrades for 4 years.
- If this proposal does not make it into the top ten, it is likely that the tools will be given no support at all for the foreseeable future. So please put in a vote today.
- We are counting on significant support not only from our own ranks, but from everyone who is concerned with maintaining a Wikipedia that is free of vandalism, promotion, flagrant financial exploitation and other pollution.
- With all 650 reviewers voting for these urgently needed improvements, our requests would be unlikely to fail. See also The Signpost Special report: 'NPP: This could be heaven or this could be hell for new users – and for the reviewers', and if you are not sure what the wish list is all about, take a sneak peek at an article in this month's upcoming issue of The Signpost which unfortunately due to staff holidays and an impending US holiday will probably not be published until after voting has closed.

Should I create in main space directly or is it good choice to let it be in draft space. Also I read somewhere that google search index behave differently for the pages directly moved to mainspace. I am talking about this draft *Draft:Omkar Rai. RufinaSmith 10:23, 5 November 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by RufinaSmith (talk • contribs)
- @RufinaSmith: hi! First, I am sorry for the relatively late response, but, my recommendation would be that unless you’re absolutely sure that the subject is notable, it is generally a good idea for a newcomer to have their articles go through the AFC process, so, in Omkar Rai’s case, you’d be better off having the draft be reviewed by an AFC reviewer, in my opinion. Also, yes there are a lot of nuances in Google Search indexing; unreviewed mainspace articles—unless more than ninety days old—are not indexed by search engines. Don’t be afraid in asking me if you’ve got any other doubt. Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 13:29, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks SshibumXZfor your valuable suggestion. Yes - I see some issue in notability with the provided citation and now I have put few relevant one in my draft submission for https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Omkar_Rai. Let's see how it goes and needless to say how vast Wikipedia community is to explore and contribute. Looking forward to valuable contributions.RufinaSmith 12:52, 29 November 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by RufinaSmith (talk • contribs)

IDS article
Hi, I think the IDS article is in the state that it can be moved to the main space. The roles and history section need some work but that can be done in the main space as well. Feel free to move it when you are ready or let me know. Thanks for getting this started. Adamgerber80 (talk) 00:11, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
- Adamgerber80, hi! First, thanks a ton for improving the draft-ish sandbox page, I really appreciate your efforts! Second, yes, you're quite right in your assertion that the draft—in its current state—is more than ready to be moved to the mainspace, barring its history section, of course.
- I'll just make further improvements to the article and move the article to mainspace within a week. Again, thanks for your rather great edits to the article! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 01:34, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
- I have made a few edits to the IDS page. Expanded the history section. Does the history part need to be expanded any more. I will also be working on a seperate page for KRC, it's important enough and seems to have enough content for a stand alone page. DiplomatTesterMan (talk) 07:12, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
DYK for National Police Memorial (India)
On 3 December 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article National Police Memorial (India), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that India's National Police Memorial has a "Wall of Valour" bearing the names of 34,844 police personnel who died in the line of duty since the country's independence in 1947? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/National Police Memorial (India). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, National Police Memorial (India)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Government of NCT of Delhi v. Union of India
Hello, SshibumXZ. This is a courtesy notice that the copy edit you requested for Government of NCT of Delhi v. Union of India at the Guild of Copy Editors requests page is now complete. All feedback welcome! This one will take me a while so please be patient. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 04:15, 7 December 2018 (UTC) |
- @Baffle gab1978: first, thanks for taking up my request! Second, take as much as time as you will, two, or three minutes, even (I joke).
- Seriously, thanks again and take as much time as you want! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 13:32, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
- No worries; it didn't take as long as I'd expected. I've changed "aid and advise" to "aid and advice"; am I correct in my assumption or is the word 'advise' the correct noun to use in this context? If it's the latter I'm happy to re-correct it; I see both spellings used on India and Sri Lanka government articles in my search here; and I'm no expert on South Asian government matters. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 04:15, 7 December 2018 (UTC)
- Baffle gab1978, no, you're completely correct. I was confused about the difference between 'advice' and 'advise' a few weeks ago and the mistakes in the Government of NCT of Delhi v. Union of India article were a by-product of that. Sorry for the confusion! Also—of course—thanks for the copy edit! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 15:37, 9 December 2018 (UTC)
- No worries, it's an interesting subject. Thanks for confirming that point; I wondered whether 'aid and advise' used as a noun has a specialised meaning there, in the same way as 'judgment' for a formal court ruling compared with 'judgement'. Good luck with the article, Cheers, Baffle gab1978 18:14, 9 December 2018 (UTC)
- Baffle gab1978, I understand that and thanks! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 19:23, 9 December 2018 (UTC)

Related to Kargil Review Committee
Kargil Review Committee page needs a lot of work. I was actually planning to get back to all this from tomorrow again. I was trying to submit an article to Signpost, that's why the Kargil article looks so messy and have not been able to follow up on Kartarpur properly. But thanks for the copy edits and will get back to those articles! DiplomatTesterMan (talk) 14:29, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi. I just wanted to ask a question. What is the importance of the Nbsp template Template:Spaces which you put for dates in articles? DiplomatTesterMan (talk) 14:06, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
- DiplomatTesterMan, hi! The {{nbsp}} template is used to add non-breaking spaces. The purpose of a non-breaking space is to prevent a line-break and make stuff confusing or awkward to read. For example, "Rs. 2,000 crore" may be awkward to read if 'Rs.' is in one line and '2,000 crore' in another. So, to remedy that, one can use the {{nbsp}} template by writing:
Rs.{{nbsp}}2,000{{nbsp}}crore
which would be rendered as: Rs. 2,000 crore. Hope this helps! - Now, if you want to read further, see: MOS:NBSP, the relevant manual of style guideline. Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 15:55, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
- SshibumXZ Thanks for the explanation. I had just assumed before that the issue of spaces was inbuilt automatically, since in many cases I never used the template, and no problems would occur. But now that I think about it, the importance is obvious. Thanks. DiplomatTesterMan (talk) 17:08, 12 December 2018 (UTC)

- Should I submit the article for AFC or directly move it to mainspace? I have shifted it to draft just now. DiplomatTesterMan (talk) 20:45, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
- The article does need more work, but I think that can happen in the mainspace now? What do you think? For now I won't be making any more major changes. DiplomatTesterMan (talk) 21:08, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
- DiplomatTesterMan, yes, that's not a big issue. The article can certainly be improved in the mainspace, as you said.
- On your behalf, I have moved the article to the mainspace after performing a final round of copy editing (of course). Do tell me if this is not what you wanted and feel free to revert!
- Happy editing and have a great day! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 03:08, 13 December 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.16 15 December 2018
Hello SshibumXZ,
- Reviewer of the Year
This year's award for the Reviewer of the Year goes to Onel5969. Around on Wikipedia since 2011, their staggering number of 26,554 reviews over the past twelve months makes them, together with an additional total of 275,285 edits, one of Wikipedia's most prolific users.
- Thanks are also extended for their work to JTtheOG (15,059 reviews), Boleyn (12,760 reviews), Cwmhiraeth (9,001 reviews), Semmendinger (8,440 reviews), PRehse (8,092 reviews), Arthistorian1977 (5,306 reviews), Abishe (4,153 reviews), Barkeep49 (4,016 reviews), and Elmidae (3,615 reviews).
Cwmhiraeth, Semmendinger, Barkeep49, and Elmidae have been New Page Reviewers for less than a year — Barkeep49 for only seven months, while Boleyn, with an edit count of 250,000 since she joined Wikipedia in 2008, has been a bastion of New Page Patrol for many years.
See also the list of top 100 reviewers.
- Less good news, and an appeal for some help
The backlog is now approaching 5,000, and still rising. There are around 640 holders of the NPR flag, most of whom appear to be inactive. The 10% of the reviewers who do 90% of the work could do with some support especially as some of them are now taking a well deserved break.
- Really good news - NPR wins the Community Wishlist Survey 2019
At #1 position, the Community Wishlist poll closed on 3 December with a resounding success for NPP, reminding the WMF and the volunteer communities just how critical NPP is to maintaining a clean encyclopedia and the need for improved tools to do it. A big 'thank you' to everyone who supported the NPP proposals. See the results.
- Training video
Due to a number of changes having been made to the feed since this three-minute video was created, we have been asked by the WMF for feedback on the video with a view to getting it brought up to date to reflect the new features of the system. Please leave your comments here, particularly mentioning how helpful you find it for new reviewers.

- @Vanamonde93: first, thank you! Second, can you amend the hook to be read as:
... that a 2017 ruling of the Supreme Court of India stated "[t]here is no room for absolutism and there is no room for anarchism also" in the governance of Delhi
- This complies with the relevant manual of style guideline; I have made the appropriate changes to the article’s text and would’ve changed the hook as well, but, as only administrators can do that, I am requesting you to make the relevant changes to the hook. Thanks in advance!
- Thanks again for approving the hook! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 16:50, 17 December 2018 (UTC)

- Vanamonde93, no problem, I get that you may be wary of square brackets and your modification to the hook works just as well as my proposal, so no issue there; thanks again! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 17:18, 17 December 2018 (UTC)

Question
I'm just wondering why you labeled the article Peter McAdams a stub. From my perspective, it seems like a pretty solid article based on the very small amount of information you can find on him. Thanks! FiendYT ★ 20:54, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- FiendYT, hi! The article's prose size is at around 300 words, which is around 200 words fewer than my ceiling for stubs (500 words)., hence, I marked the article as a stub. If you feel otherwise, do not feel shy in removing the relevant stub. Also, sorry for the relative delay in replying! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 19:41, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

Bayern
Hi, thanks for the kind message (nom nom waffles haha). I'm not a big Bayern fan either (Freiburg is my German team, but mainly Athletic Bilbao and a few others) but I noticed there was no such article and a club of that history really deserved some attention, and it was straightforward to find the sources with so many high profile matches. It still needs a bit of work, got the tables to do and with nearly 500 games that will take a while, hopefully I can get it finished before the end of the year and before I get bored of doing it - with so many seasons going to the 'business end' I think a few interesting patterns of results will appear. Thanks again. Crowsus (talk) 02:36, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
- Crowsus, no problem; your article was a good read and good luck with your plan (you would kind of be better served if Liverpool beats Bayern in the round of sixteen, right?)! As far as Athletic Bilbao go, good luck to them considering the surprisingly bad season they have been having; I really do not expect them to get relegated from La Liga, though, and would certainly not want them to get relegated and leave Barcelona and us in the 'Never Been Relegated from the Top Flight, Mate!' club.
- Again, thanks for replying and I am sorry for the delay in replying! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 19:51, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
Stubs
Please stop labelling substantial articles like Clare, County Westmeath as stubs. This just wastes the time of the stub-sorting team. You have been advised about this twice above. Please consider this a formal warning: if you continue to tag non-stubs as stubs like this it may lead to action. Thanks. PamD 09:18, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- PamD, oh yeah, marking Clare, County Westmeath as a stub was a lapse in judgment and I am sorry for that! But, looking back at the article, I see there are a good ton of quotes there, which, if you are aware do not generally count when measuring the "readable prose size" of an article, so, when one discounts the said quotes, I would say that the aforementioned article definitely borders on a stub and if I were to re-review it, I would probably again mark it as a stub again.
- Also, I was not "advised" about stub-marking in the cases above; the both of them were queries regarding as to why I marked certain articles as stubs and I have explained my rationale behind marking the said articles as stub (500-word ceiling criterion et al.). Further, I really do not like how you worded your comment, I do not like "formal warning[s]" and am rather annoyed at you giving me one (not sure as to what empowered you to do so, still). Notwithstanding anything said in the previous line, I would like to express my gratitude to you—in specific—and the stub-sorting team—in general for your excellent jobs in sorting out stubs on Wikipedia; thank you! In addition, I would like to apologise for anything written by me that may have offended you and for the relative delay in replying! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 20:04, 18 December 2018 (UTC); edited 20:07, 18 December 2018 (UTC).
Hello
I noticed you labelled this article as a stub. It's 8Kb in length; as a matter of interest, when does an article stop being a stub? Swanny18 (talk) 23:05, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- Swanny18, hi! I labelled the article as a stub because its "readable prose size" when I edited it—sat at around 400 words, which is a bit less than my personal ceiling for a stub at 500 words. However, after having a another look at it, it seems clear to me that adding that stub tag was an error in judgment in my part, as, the tool I use to measure the "readable prose size" discounted the bullet points in the article (quote as well, but, it was kind of right), so, after taking the aforementioned points in to account, I would say that the article is not a stub and I am sorry for marking it as such! Also, I am sorry for the relative delay in replying! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 19:45, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Swanny18:, oops I forgot to reply to your other question! Well, there is not fixed criteria as to when articles "stop being" stubs; people have their own, varying, criterion for stubs. Like I have said already, I consider anything having fewer than 400 words a stub, there are exceptions, of course, but that is my yard-stick and blanket for measuring stubs. Hope this helped you! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 19:55, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- No worries, I was just a bit puzzled; but it looks like its been it's been un-stubbed in the meantime anyway. Regards, Swanny18 (talk) 02:48, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
Secretary to the Government of India
Hey, I saw there was some edit-war at Secretary to the Government of India. I think what the ip-editor was trying to say was that the four-star general rank which is held by chief of army staff is Pay level 18 (as per 7cpc), and is one level above than the salary what a Secretary to the Government of India gets, which is pay level 17. I dug up the history of the page and found this revision you made. In that revision, I think it was mistake when you changed the phrase " in the rank of Lieutenant General and equivalent ranks" to "in the rank of full General and its equivalents in the Indian Armed Forces", because a Lieutenant General is a 3-star rank whereas a full general is a 4-star rank (though you basically copied from Indian order of precedence, I've now corrected it there too). Then in another edit you added "four-star" to "full general" which, though is technically correct, but when added to incorrect information, it led to all this confusion and edit war.
The other change that ip-editor was trying to do was to remove entire list of secretaries which I don't support at all (I think I should make this clear).
Thanks. —Sarvatra (talk, contribs) 06:12, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
- Sarvatra, nope, you are wrong. See: the order of precedence as published by the President' Secretariat in 1979; a secretary to the Government of India was given equal footing with Vice Chief of the Army/Naval/Air Staff (VCOA henceforth for brevity), air/flag/general officers-commanding-in-chief (commanders for brevity) and full generals in the armed forces, so, whilst commanders, VCOAS et al. are positions occupied by lieutenant general-ranked officers of the armed forces, they can be occupied by a full, four-star general as well; lieutenant generals and equivalents in the armed forces rank twenty-fourth on the Indian order of precedence. It's just that the only four-star officers in the Indian Armed Forces are the general chiefs of staff, who derive precedence by the virtue of them being, well, chiefs of individual armed forces' staff. I will no proceed to undo your edit, please do not be shy in raising any further query, if you any, that is. Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 09:40, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
- Ah, all right. Now I see that. Thanks for clarifying. —Sarvatra (talk, contribs) 11:05, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
- Sarvatra, no problem. Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 11:46, 24 December 2018 (UTC)

Update to scripts by AlexTheWhovian/Alex 21
Hello! This is a generic message created and copied to all editors using scripts that I have created. As I have recently changed my username from "User:AlexTheWhovian" to "User:Alex 21", any scripts that I have created that are listed at your common.js page may, at the moment, no longer be working. To fix this, simply update all occurrences of "User:AlexTheWhovian" to "User:Alex 21"; see here for an example. All the best! -- /Alex/21 11:07, 4 January 2019 (UTC)

Talk page experience in advanced contributions mode
Hey SshibumXZ — we recently updated our Advanced mobile contributions project page, aiming to start a discussion with the community around which Talk page experience is preferable. I'm making the rounds and pinging folks who, like yourself, provided constructive feedback on our last round of explorations. If you have time, please head over to the page and respond with any thoughts on the project's talk page. We'd love to hear from you. Thanks AHollender (WMF) (talk) 20:37, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
Flooded with them hundreds' user scripts
Dear all. Recently, our community lost a dedicated user, Flooded with them hundreds (talk). Among their projects were a number of user scripts that were deleted when they left. I (DannyS712) have asked that they be undeleted, and have taken over maintaining them. You currently import Flooded's (deleted) script, and I thought that you might want to import a working version. Links to each script are provided below.
If you have any questions, please reach out and talk to me. --DannyS712 (talk) 21:31, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

Back (for now)
So, I have been kind of busy the paat few weeks and as a result, haven’t been able to contribute much over here, but, now my workload has relaxed a bit, so, I think I am in a position to contribute more to this great project.
Now, this may result in utter embarrassment for me, but, seeing as I have more than 20 talk page watchers, I think this is well worth a shot; talk page stalker’s, anything new that has happened in the past month or so? Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 03:11, 19 February 2019 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.17
Hello SshibumXZ,
- News
- The WMF has announced that Google Translate is now available for translating articles through the content translation tool. This may result in an increase in machine translated articles in the New Pages Feed. Feel free to use the {{rough translation}} tag and gently remind (or inform) editors that translations from other language Wikipedia pages still require attribution per WP:TFOLWP.
- Discussions of interest
- Two elements of CSD G6 have been split into their own criteria: R4 for redirects in the "File:" namespace with the same name as a file or redirect at Wikimedia Commons (Discussion), and G14 for disambiguation pages which disambiguate zero pages, or have "(disambiguation)" in the title but disambiguate a single page (Discussion).
- {{db-blankdraft}} was merged into G13 (Discussion)
- A discussion recently closed with no consensus on whether to create a subject-specific notability guideline for theatrical plays.
- There is an ongoing discussion on a proposal to create subject-specific notability guidelines for chemicals and organism taxa.
- Reminders
- NPR is not a binary keep / delete process. In many cases a redirect may be appropriate. The deletion policy and its associated guideline clearly emphasise that not all unsuitable articles must be deleted. Redirects are not contentious. See a classic example of the templates to use. More templates are listed at the R template index. Reviewers who are not aware, do please take this into consideration before PROD, CSD, and especially AfD because not even all admins are aware of such policies, and many NAC do not have a full knowledge of them.
- NPP Tools Report
- Superlinks – allows you to check an article's history, logs, talk page, NPP flowchart (on unpatrolled pages) and more without navigating away from the article itself.
- copyvio-check – automatically checks the copyvio percentage of new pages in the background and displays this info with a link to the report in the 'info' panel of the Page curation toolbar.
- The NPP flowchart now has clickable hyperlinks.

March GOCE newsletter
Guild of Copy Editors March 2019 Newsletter
Hello and welcome to the March newsletter, a brief update of Guild activities since December 2018. All being well, we're planning to issue these quarterly in 2019, balancing the need to communicate widely with the avoidance of filling up talk pages. Don't forget you can unsubscribe at any time; see below. January Drive: Thanks to everyone for the splendid work in January's Backlog Elimination Drive. We removed copyedit tags from all of the articles tagged in our original target months of June, July and August 2018, and by 24 January we ran out of articles. After adding September, we finished the month with 8 target articles remaining and 842 left in the backlog. GOCE copyeditors also completed 48 requests for copyedit in January. Of the 31 people who signed up for this drive, 24 copyedited at least one article. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here. Blitz: Thanks to everyone who participated in the February Blitz. Of the 15 people who signed up, 13 copyedited at least one article. Participants claimed 32 copyedits, including 15 requests. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here. Progress report: As of 23:39, 18 March 2019 (UTC), GOCE copyeditors have completed 108 requests since 1 January and the backlog stands at 851 articles. March Drive: The month-long March drive is now underway; the target months are October and November 2018. Awards will be given to everyone who copyedits at least one article from the backlog. Sign up here! Election reminder: It may only be March but don't forget our mid-year Election of Coordinators opens for nominations on 1 June. Coordinators normally serve a six-month term and are elected on an approval basis. Self-nominations are welcome. If you've thought of helping out at the Guild, or know of another editor who would make a good coordinator, please consider standing for election or nominating them here. Thank you all again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve what we have without you! Cheers from your GOCE coordinators Miniapolis, Baffle gab1978, Jonesey95, Reidgreg and Tdslk.
