Prizes will be handed out in the coming weeks. Please be patient!

Congratulations to everyone who has been successful in this year's WikiCup, whether you made it to the final rounds or not, and a particular congratulations to the newcomers to the WikiCup who have achieved this year. Thanks to all who have taken part and helped out with the competition. While it has been an excellent year, errors have opened up the judges' eyes to the need for a third judge, and it is with pleasure that we announce that experienced WikiCup participant Miyagawa will be acting as a judge from now on. We hope you will all join us in welcoming him to the team.

Next year's competition begins on 1 January. You are invited to sign up to participate; it is open to all Wikipedians, new and old. Brainstorming and discussion remains open for how next year's competition will work, and straw polls will be opened by the judges soon. Those interested in friendly competition may also like to keep an eye on the stub contest, being organised by Casliber. The WikiCup judges will be back in touch over the coming months, and we hope to see you all in the 2014 competition. Until then, it only remains to once again congratulate our worthy winners, and thank all participants for their involvement! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Britney Jean cover

[edit]

Why did you revert to a cover that was cropped and has colors that are not accurate. Gcampbell92 (talk) 00:58, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Young and Beautiful (Cedric Gervais remix)

[edit]

Hello, it's about your recent edit on Lana Del Rey discography: about adding this remix in particular. It's unusual for remixes to be mentioned separately because all of them only support original release and do not make a single themselves as sales often are combined. There was an exception done for Summertime Sadness remix because of its success and seperate charting all over the world, however it's way too early for Young and Beautiful remix. If it would chart separately, if label will send in on the radio independently, then yes. Just an iTunes remix doesn't mean a single yet. --demistalk 13:57, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits on "The Voice Within"

[edit]

Hi, Status! Although it's maybe late, but I came here to thank you for your edits on "The Voice Within". By the way, could you let me know what does "Pock It! CD single" mean? Thanks, once again! — Simon (talk) 10:53, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@: You're most welcome. Pock It! was a series of CD singles released in Germany. They were Mini CDs that could fit in your "pocket", basically. — Status (talk · contribs) 12:55, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Britney Spears - Perfume

[edit]

I represent Chris Braide in the UK, as well as producing it, Chris Braide wrote the song Perfume with Sia Furler with some later lyric additions by Britney Spears, both he his management, his USA representatives and myself keep endeavouring to ensure his name is on the writers list and it keeps being removed, both from his own page and from the Britney Perfum page and the album page. I have once again changed this. Thanks for your help Agentwilde (talk) 17:54, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mistaken revision

[edit]

Status,

Your most recent revision of my edits to "Hummingbird Heartbeat" was a mistake. I explained everything on the talk page, yet you dismissively went against all my reasons without providing an explanation. Please refer to that. Please also stop using the whole "removal of templates" thing as an excuse to revert me.

XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 01:28, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@XXSNUGGUMSXX: It was not a mistake. I explained my reasons on the talk page, thank you very much. Take a look. This become quite intolerable. — Status (talk · contribs) 01:34, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rihanna filmography table

[edit]

I understand the WP:FILMOGRAPHY isn't a policy but a guideline but when a table looks like that and THAT cluttered with information, I find it hard to believe that that look is preferred over how I had it. And the other editor calling my bold edits senseless when I explained each edits with a reasonable explaination and then not responding to their talk page when I try to talk about it I find frustrating when my edits are in good faith. There is more than 1 editor that can edit her page. Lady Lotustalkcontribs 17:21, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@Lady Lotus: Tomica (talk · contribs) brought the article through the FL process (and passed, look at the gold star in the top of the page, meaning that a group of people deemed the table acceptable). Of course other users are allowed to edit the page, but Tomica was correct in reverting a bold change that had discussion on the article's talk. There are many articles that have the look of Rihanna videography, such as Jennifer Lopez filmography, Justin Timberlake videography, Christian Bale filmography, and they are all also featured lists. As for the table itself, as the originator of the style, I don't see what is wrong with it. It includes the most important information about a film, its title, the character the actor plays, the director, how much it grossed and its budget. That would not be very appropriate on a biography article, as yes, that would be cluttered, but the purpose of the article is to actually have information in it. — Status (talk · contribs) 17:27, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

GAN December 2013 Backlog Drive

[edit]
Hello! A GAN Backlog Drive will begin in less than 4 days!

In past Backlog Drives, the goal was to reduce the backlog of Good article nominations. In the upcoming drive, another goal will be added - raising as much money as we can for the Wikimedia Foundation. How will this work? Well, its pretty simple. Any user interested in donating can submit a pledge at the Backlog Drive page (linked above). The pledge should mention the amount of money the user is willing to donate per review. For example, if a user pledges 5 cents per review and 100 nominations are reviewed, the total donation amount is $5.00.

At the time this message was sent out, two users have submitted pledges for a total of 8 cents per review. All pledges, no matter how much money, are greatly appreciated. Also, in no way is this saying you must make a pledge.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or leave a message on the Backlog Drive talk page. And remember, there are less than 4 days before the drive starts!--EdwardsBot (talk) 03:07, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
