Peer review

[edit]

Hey Status, I was wondering if you could... possibly... take a look at my article, which I put up for peer review. Not because it's a reccomendation, but I've seen your work in other articles and I definitely think you can give me some good reccomendations to make it FA worthy. Thank you in advance :) prism 19:42, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please comment at Kelvin Tan's ongoing peer review!

[edit]

You have listed yourself as a peer review volunteer interested in music articles. Would you like to support the quest to counter systemic bias on Wikipedia? Would you like to read an interesting article about something different? If so, you are invited to give a thorough review of the article Kelvin Tan, which is about a blind Singaporean Mandopop singer. The article is very short and should not take long to review. Hope you enjoy reviewing it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thanks! 谢谢!Terima kasih! நன்றி! --J.L.W.S. The Special One (talk) 12:27, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

4 FAC

[edit]

Hey! Thank you for your comments on the 4 FAC, however, a moderator has now asked that they are to be elaborated on as to why they specifically meet the FA criteria as the chances of it being promoted are otherwise poor. If you can, I'd appreciate it greatly! Thanks! —JennKR | 01:59, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Avril Lavigne 2013 Album Page

[edit]

Hi, I know you might be busy, but there's currently a problem with the certifications page on the Avril Lavigne album page. I've referenced two certifications (China and Taiwan) which are both genuine, but another user keeps on deleting them saying they're not official, when they are. Would you be able to temporarily lock the certifications page with the Chinese and Taiwan sales included, so no-one can currently edit them, as i'm sick of this user deleting them every time I put them on. Thanks,--StephenN17 (talk) 11:29, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Chinese source, the album is top 20, but in anywhere says that is gold, and the other source is just a whichever picture, and neither says the album is 3x platinum. Biagio2103 (talk) 22:06, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The album sold almost 8,000 in the first week in China and went Gold a week later. Look back at the previous sales weeks in China, and you'll see. And that picture is from Gmusic the official charts company in Taiwan, and shows that the album has sold 36,000. Taiwan has revealed it's yearly sales like this for years, but you seem to be the only person to question it. Both are official sources, so stop deleting them everytime I put them on. --StephenN17 (talk) 16:29, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

4

[edit]

I'm really sorry for being a pain, but if you could just clarify (you don't have to review) why you think 4 is suitable for FA status (here) it would be great help. Otherwise I've been told it will fail and I don't want to go through my third FAC. Cheers, —JennKR | 16:54, 25 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why?

[edit]

[1]. Isn't Same Girl a song? Isn't it's first published year 2014? Cheers. --Richhoncho (talk) 19:35, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Richhoncho: Yes, my apologizes. I thought that songs were either categorized as "2014 song" or "2014 single", but I looked around and that isn't the case. — Status (talk · contribs) 19:44, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No probs. Somebody made singles and sub-cat of songs and that is patently ridiculous. That's been changed for 6 months plus now. Cheers. --Richhoncho (talk) 19:46, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
