Thanks for the lovely and thoughtful birthday wishes, dear Stubbleboy. :) Cheers, Sango123 22:37, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
I just restored the MFD notice on my subuserpage, User:Xaosflux/UBX/User religion flying spaghetti monster not really, as the MFD at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Xaosflux/UBX/User religion flying spaghetti monster not really is still running. I agree with your edit. I noted on the discussion page that there is already a list in the illegitimate article. Mapetite526 22:25, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Deletion help from non-admins
Hi Stubbleboy! Thanks for the message. As far as AfD goes, non-admins can close discussions that are obvious keeps (e.g.- unanimous or near-unanimous keep votes). If you were to take care of these type of cases, it might save a little time for admins and help the backlog a bit. As far as general deletion advice, there are a few things you can do to help out. One is to go to CAT:PROD and review the articles there. If there are any that you feel should be kept, simply remove the {{prod}} tag. (Or, if you feel that there should at least be a discussion first, feel free to send to AfD.) Also, you could also do new page patrol and tag any articles that meet the speedy deletion criteria. I hope all of this advice helps, and let me know if you have any further questions! EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 22:31, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- Sure, no problem...I just happened to log-on briefly after your message. I'm not sure how fast it is, but Voice of All has several JavaScript tools for people to use, including non-admin rollback. You can find all of those tools at User:Voice of All/UsefulJS. Best of luck with the vandalwhacking! EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 22:40, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Allegra Byron
I went back to the article and added page numbers after the various quotes. They follow the date Eisler's biography of Byron was published in 1999. This is the primary source for the quotes from Byron's letters and for the overall tone of the article, though I also took some information from the biography of her at the Androom Archive and from an old, out of print biography of her called "Allegra" as well as a biography of Ada Lovelace that I read in college and no longer have access to. I cited all of the quotes that come from Eisler's book. I'm not sure what else needs to be done to "wikify." If you could go in and fix what's wrong with it, I'd appreciate it.--Bookworm857158367 23:56, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
That text is cited in two or three biographies of Byron and Allegra that I've seen. The letter still exists and a photo of it is included in the pages of the Eisler biography. I think it's fair to assume she had considerable help from the nuns at the convent to write that letter. She probably dictated to them what she wanted to say and they wrote it out for her to copy. Also keep in mind that children were taught to read and write at an earlier age in the seventeenth and eighteenth and nineteenth centuries than they are today. And we can assume that Byron's daughter might have been fairly precocious when it comes to writing. Allegra is notable mainly because of who her parents were and their story is pretty notable. --Bookworm857158367 00:25, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
I actually think the subtitles I've added break it up pretty well. You can't really do bullets with a subject like this. Incidentally, I happened to see Tyke's "rampage" at the state fair in Minot. I work for the paper there and was at the fairgrounds doing a story at the time.--Bookworm857158367 00:52, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for cleaning up the page. It looks so much better now than it did. I thought your "Tyke" page looked great. I remember doing some stories about the mistreatment of elephants after the fair and later when I learned that Tyke had been involved in other "rampages." --Bookworm857158367 13:20, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks again. I wasn't sure about whether it was kosher to add her photo right to the page, but you're probably right given the age. It looks pretty darn good right now. You really created a quality entry. Personally, I think it's the most comprehensive entry about her on the Web!--Bookworm857158367 01:10, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

About your warning from AntiVandalBot
If you get a warning from AntiVandalBot for an edit that is not vandalism, please note that it is a clone of Tawkerbot2's code base. Please list the diffs that were mistakenly identified as vandalism here: User:Tawkerbot2/diffs. Tawker and Joshbuddy are currently rewriting Tawkerbot2 to catch even more vandalism and not tag as many legitimate edits as vandalism. This will help them, because these bots apparently use Bayesian methods to identify vandalism, which is a statistical method to essentially guess. The way to improve Bayesian systems is to show them examples of when they have made correct guesses, and when they have made incorrect guesses. Jesse Viviano 02:37, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Thank you
I've finally had the time during my long Wikibreak to thank the voters and commentors on my my RfA last month, and I thank you! I'll try again as previously planned in the late of spring, and hopefully I'll win it. When I get off this multi-month Wikibreak I'll be back to the Wikipedia, visting xfD everyday in addition. What exactly were you referring to when you implied that I was not following signature guidelines? Do you have any tips or suggestions for me? Thanks again, X [Mac Davis] (SUPERDESK|Help me improve)08:19, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Westerville Library
Hi. I recently added the Westerville Library article. I'm working on the Libraries in Ohio project, and I started at the end of the alphabet. I'm doing a bare bones article on them, city and county location, communities served by branch libraries, and I'm referencing 2005 circulation statistics. I just noticed your comment about the library, I think it would be great to add the other details about some of these libraries. They do offer interesting things related to the area history. As long as you reference it, I say, GO FOR IT! CRKingston 07:13, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- About your note on the Westerville Public Library article: first you were not the creator of that article, so I'm not sure why you were telling me I should have discussed merging it with you first. I had placed a "merge" tag on the article a week or so earlier, and there had been no objections. I had also placed a message in the Wikiproject:Ohio talk area, and no one had objected there.
- The only claim to notability that I can see for the library is the Anti-Saloon League museum (which is not presently mentioned in the library article, only in the Westerville article.) I think this is probably best mentioned in context of Westerville's history, and therefore I see no reason why the library can't be included in the Westerville article.
- If you think that the statistics on use and holdings are not worth including, then I agree with you, and we can have a redirect with just a bare mention of the library's existence and a link to their web site. If we take this to AFD, I'm sure that, like Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Adams County Public Library, the result will be "merge". --Brianyoumans 01:59, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
- I love what you have done with the museum info. I'm completely uninvolved in the other issues with deletion and merging. I have a personal opinion, as you might guess, but I am not involved with the debate or the decision-making proces. I've moved on to other projects. CRKingston 06:32, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
removed personal phone number
I noticed you edited Ram-Man's userpage, why though? He put it there, thus presumably he wants it there and it must not be removed. Mathmo Talk 09:06, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
- It isn't a personal phone number. The page is a joke, and the phone number goes to a joke number. -- RM 18:13, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Little context in Varitalk
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Varitalk, by Vegaswikian (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Varitalk is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Varitalk, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Varitalk itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 02:38, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Varitalk.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Varitalk.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:48, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Newport aquarium.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Newport aquarium.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 22:39, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
