Speedy deletion declined: Stefaniya Staniyuta
Hello Sulfurboy. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Stefaniya Staniyuta, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: If she qualifies for a special postage stamp, that is certainly enough assertion of importance to pass A7. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 21:06, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

Hey, thank you for introducing yourself. I appreciate that human connection aspect (rather than just posting/tagging "silently"). While I still am relatively unfamiliar with the infinite complexity of Wikipedia's various editing facets, I appreciate the "coaching" from friendly Wikipedians like yourself. Thanks for the help.
Also, I apologize if I've overstepped my bounds by editing your page(s), but I noticed a few things and corrected them:
- I had to look up CSD and AFD, so I went ahead and added links to those, for any other newbies who are unfamiliar with the acronyms.
- In the "Please read my quick, personal FAQ before leaving a comment..." post, the grammar had the wrong usage of "your": "you're" is a contraction of "you + are" whereas the possessive "your/yours" is what you were looking for when you said "if you're question could be answered..." (the following usage, "the article you're referencing,..." is a correct you+are usage)
Thanks again for the help and introduction, for all the info/links on your page, and my apologies if I somehow offended you with any of my edits to your pages. Bush6984 (talk) 21:41, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

Draft:Vulcan blazers
You recently reviewed the draft and concluded one section was overly long and you didn't know what it was about. I think you need to review your review, as the section you were referring to is not a part of the draft, and your changes have made it seen that it is part of the lede! That section was a rebuttal to another editor whose comment was the one that pops up when scrolling the drafts stating that the article was 'blatant self promotion', which he declined to remove. It pre-judged the article which was subsequently re-written in the current form and you have now followed up in mis-judging the point of the article. I would ask that you take another look and find the beginning of the lede and judge the article from that point on. Robco311 (talk) 01:43, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

Fun School series
Greetings. It's nice to see you're keeping an eye on my work on the Fun School articles. The first Fun School games are not very well known, hence their absence from the main article. I found a couple of magazine references, but haven't been able find anything else other than scans and images of the cassettes and disks, I just hope the notability of Fun School 1 is adequate. While I'm creating articles on Fun School 3 onwards, I shall provide reliable reception references wherever I can find them. Any assistance you can provide, will be appreciated. It's nice to archive what is now practically forgotten software. Deltasim (talk) 10:20, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
Welcome to the AfC team!
Hi, and welcome to WikiProject Articles for creation! We are a group of editors who work together on the Articles for creation and Files for upload pages.
A few tips that you might find helpful:
- Please take time to fully read the reviewers' instructions before reviewing submissions.
- The reviewers' talk page is the best place to ask for help or advice. You might like to watchlist this page, and you are encouraged to take part in any discussion that comes up.
- Article submissions that need reviewing can be found in Category:Pending AfC submissions and there is also a useful list which is maintained by a bot.
- You might wish to add {{AFC status}} or {{AfC Defcon}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions. There is also a project userbox. If you haven't done so already, please consider adding your name to the list of participants.
- Several of our members monitor Wikipedia's help IRC channel, and you are welcome to join in to ask Wikipedia-related questions.
- The IRC channel #wikipedia-en-afc connect is used occasionally for internal discussion regarding the Articles for Creation process, and also serves as a recent changes feed, displaying all edits made in the Articles for Creation namespace.
- The help desk is the place where new editors can ask questions about their submissions. You are welcome to help in answering their questions.
Once again, welcome to the project. Anastasia [Missionedit] (talk) 21:56, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

Draft:ISS Art
Hi, thanks for reviewing ISS Art article. Unfortunately, it was declined again for the reason of lack of "secondary reliable sources that are entirely independent of the subject". I would like to disagree on this point - the article contains references to such resources as IAOP, Clutch, Fortune 500 Magazine. These are completely independent resources, they don't have any commercial interest in promoting the company.
As for the notability of organizations, one should "consider whether they have had any significant or demonstrable effects on culture, society, entertainment, athletics, economies, history, literature, science, or education". As described in the article, ISS Art is involved in community activities, and this is supported by evidence from independent resources (online newspapers and magazines).
Could you, please, clarify, what kind of information does the article still lack to get published?
Btw, I'd like to provide examples of two articles about software development companies that were pubslished (although they might not meet the above mentioned criteria as well):

Sports Medicine Model of Care
I do not believe that the article sports medicine model of care should be deleted. It is a concept that many individuals use worldwide, but there is little easy access information on the content. hi
Hey Sulfurboy, you were right to tag the medical device company page - I'd left in so much info on the awards that's what it looked like. Truthfully I could find practically no info on the company except the awards when I did (admittedly not too thorough) research, so I wanted the awards to help shield the page against hasty immediate deletion tags (which give me heart attacks). If it catches your interest, I did a quick cleanup and would curious to see your opinion on the new version (if the awards still keep it past the notability threshold or not as well, even with rmved sources). Thanks :) Earflaps (talk) 20:06, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
- The whole article reads more like a press release than an encyclopedic article. Notability needs to be established this isn't contingent on a certain amount of awards, but instead secondary, neutral press coverage (WP:CORP). The external links are a bit unnecessary and spammy as well. Sulfurboy (talk) 20:15, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
- Gotcha, thx for the look. At some point I'll do another foray into google, see if I can find some less crappy links. Earflaps (talk) 03:23, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
Beth Keller notability tag
Hi Graham,
I randomly found the Beth Keller article, which was in danger of being automatically deleted. The article continues to have multiple issues, but at this point I have added enough reliable sources (some have very good coverage) to believe that the subject is notable. As requested, I added comments on the article's talk page. Whenever you have a chance, please examine the situation and consider withdrawing the notability tag if you agree it's no longer appropriate (although the other tags most certainly are). Many thanks in advance, and have a nice day. Dontreader (talk) 09:30, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

Serato DJ
Hi Sulfurboy. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for Serato DJ, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, under criterion G11 because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. I do not see any issues related to WP:NPOV. At the very least, this is definitely not unambiguous advertising. Feel free to nominate for AfD if you disagree, but as the advertising is not unambiguous (if it's there at all), G11 does not apply. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers, criteria for speedy deletion, and particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion or proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Thanks! ~ RobTalk 01:02, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- I've posted regarding the WP:NPOV claims on Talk:Serato DJ. Could you please respond there so all interested editors can discuss the issue and determine what can be done to fix it (if anything)? ~ RobTalk 01:30, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
Bare URLs isn't a valid criterion for rejecting an article, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Reviewing instructions, which specifically says "Avoid declining an article because the references contain bare URLs or other reference formatting problems. Instead, run the Reflinks Tool or tag the article with {{cleanup-link rot|date=November 2024}}
or {{citation style|date=November 2024}}
." I've reverted your decline based on bare URLs, and have used Refill to fill the bare URLs. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:26, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, I already ran refill and accepted the article. Sulfurboy (talk) 17:27, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Also, why did you accept Alejandro Gómez Bermúdez? There was a clear comment about it from me here that I'm trying to get a consensus on whether the Costa Rican League is fully professional or not, the outcome of which has not been decided, and is pivotal to whether or not he passes WP:NFOOTY. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:33, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Is 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup not a tier 1 event? Further the press coverage contends enough to pass GNG in my opinion. If you want to tag the page with a notability template until your footy debate is finished, then go for it, but I don't think his notability hinges on it at all.Sulfurboy (talk) 17:39, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- No it isn't, a Tier 1 match has to involve the "A" representatives of both teams, [2]. Which means the Olympics isn't either (which it looks like he might have played in), because it's an U-23 tournament. I'll tag with notability, I'm certain he doesn't pass WP:GNG. I don't understand why this post keeps getting rejected. I completely pared it down so it could not be construed as biased at all and now you are saying it is not "notable" enough for Wikipedia. Catapult Chicago is a notable co-working space in Chicago that has "graduated" several notable companies (including BucketFeet, which has it's own Wikipedia page) and several notable sponsors (also with their own Wikipedia pages).
Mds43 (talk) 19:36, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Hello Sulfurboy. I am new to Wikipedia and started out with an entry on the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation, which you recently rejected. I wasn't clear on why the subject is not worthy of inclusion. I had a number of references in there from independent sources, including from The New York Times, where I am a science editor. Is this not sufficient? I was interested in the subject because I have used Paul Greengard, the nobel laureate, as a source and was wondering why the fisher center was not included with a brief entry. It is cited in numerous places elsewhere in Wikipedia but had no "home" page. Please let me know what kinds of sources might be appropriate if the Times is not? Thank you.
